Select from a menu of tour options, add your own personal touches, then combine those with the comfort and elegance of a luxuriously appointed Hummer and the exclusive services of a personal chauffeur/guide and what do you have? The ultimate Juneau shore excursion adventure where you’re in charge! You’ll be introduced to your chauffeur/guide shore side and escorted to your Hummer H2, your vantage point to experience Juneau and its surrounds on your own terms and schedule. You’ll be briefed on a variety of tour options that are available for you. It’s entirely your choice. Have a special interest like photography or hiking? Your chauffeur/guide can help create and customize a tour experience for you. Sightseeing options might include Mendenhall Glacier, downtown Juneau, the Governor’s Mansion, University of Alaska-Southeast, The Shrine of St. Therese, the Alaska State Museum or a guided nature hike. (Entrance fees apply to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitors Center and Alaska State Museum). Note: Price is for groups of 4 and not per person, so only one person in the party needs to book. The price shown is the total cost for the vehicle and driver. In many destinations, the number of vehicles available is extremely limited, so guests are encouraged to secure their private vehicle reservation as early as possible. Your private party may be of any size up to the maximum capacity. Parents must provide a child’s car seat for children under the age of 5. We will provide a booster seat for children between the ages of 5 and 8 on a request basis and subject to availability. Children participating in the Glacier View Sea Kayaking tour must weigh at least 40 lbs. in order to fit into life jackets. Raingear and life jackets for the Glacier View Sea Kayak are included. Obtain a tour preference card from the shore excursion desk, which includes the “VIP Pricing” for shore excursions. This tour is non-refundable. less

Private Car Service - Indiana Jones Style! This tour begins on the Ketchikan dock and is fully customizable to your wishes. Tour Ketchikan in rugged luxury. Your tour is in a Hummer H2 (a rugged, exciting vehicle modeled on the famous military HumVee) and an extremely knowledgeable tour guide at your service! You choose where you go and what you want to see, and how long you want to stay there! Among the many options are all of the Totem Pole parks including Saxman Native Village, Potlach Park, Totem Bight State Park, and walks through the rain forest, along a beach, a stop at Herring Cove to look for wildlife in season, waterfall viewing, Ward Lake in the Tongass National Forest, and many more options. All entrance fees to attractions listed above are included in the price. A small snack will include Alaskan smoked salmon dip, cheese, crackers, & fruit as well as sodas, bottled water, coffee, tea, or juice. At the north end of town we have attractions that can include: a drive through the Ward Lake area of the Tongass National Forest. Ward Lake is lined with Sitka spruce, western hemlock and red cedar trees. While at Ward Lake passengers may wish to hike along Ward Creek Trail. Lunch Creek Trail is located at the very north end of Tongass Highway. This is a moderate to more difficult, 4.1 mile trail that begins by winding through mature cedar and spruce forest, transitioning into natural tread interspersed with boardwalk climbing through spruce stands and muskeg meadows and ending in a sub-alpine forest at Emery Tobin Lake. Scenic views include a trailside waterfall. For bit of off-roading, we take our guest up Slide Mountain for a climb in elevation of approximately 1,100 feet to a private vista viewpoint. Combine your helicopter Flightseeing tour with Alaska’s favorite sport, dog sledding. A short drive brings you to the heliport where following a safety video, you’re outfitted with boots and vests and ready to board your helicopter. Once airborne you’ll soar over stunning glaciers and snow fields before landing at the Dog Camp on Denver Glacier.
Here you’ll become acquainted with the world of “mushing” and dog sledding. You have the option to either stand on the sled and mush or relax in the sled and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. A truly authentic Alaskan adventure, this outing enables you to meet the professional Mushers and their friendly dogs that have made the Iditarod Dog Race famous.
Note: Flight time is approximately 30 minutes with approximately one hour at the dog sled camp. Participants must be able to enter and exit the helicopter with limited assistance. Combine a scenic helicopter flight, a wilderness hike in the Tongass National Forest and a ride aboard the historic narrow-gauge White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. It’s a perfect mix of breathtaking scenery, great transportation and exercise. Board a helicopter for your flight with views of glacially carved valleys and stunning scenery before landing at Glacier Station. Set out on a 4 to 5 mile hike along the remote upper Skagway River and through pristine old-growth and temperate rain forest on your way to see the magnificent Laughton Glacier.
Your guide will share information about the region's unique natural history throughout the hike and allow plenty of time for photography. Bears, mountain goats, moose and other wildlife call Laughton Valley home. Return to Glacier Station and board the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad for the 14 mile scenic ride back to Skagway. Your guide will provide an overview of the train and its history. Flight pattern varies based on current weather conditions.
Note: Participants must be at least 9 years of age, be in good physical condition and able to walk over uneven terrain for 3 hours. Dress in layers and wear sturdy walking shoes. Please refrain from bringing large packs or excess gear due to helicopter weigh and space restrictions. Passport required. No experience is necessary, as guides will teach you the proper use of the mountaineering gear so that the remote areas of the glacier can be accessed. All you need to bring is a camera, a willing attitude and an appetite for adventure. For the more adventurous, there is the Extended Helicopter Glacier Trek which includes three hours of hiking and climbing over the rugged terrain of a glacier. Your guide will teach you basic climbing techniques enabling you to safely climb and descend the ice walls and lead your group on an exploration of the glacier’s most pristine and remote areas.
Note: Participants must be at least 16 years of age and in good physical condition. Flight time is approximately 35 minutes.
