Want to get an even closer look at the world's busiest space launch facility? The Kennedy Space Center Up Close tour, led by a trained space expert, will take you on a two-hour narrated journey through the Space Shuttle program, from launch preparation to lift-off. Included are extremely close stops by Space Shuttle Launch Pads A and B and the huge Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). The tour will also stop at NASA Causeway, where guests are surrounded by rocket launch pads. This tour includes a KSC souvenir and an informational piece with pictures. Note: Due to the highly secure status of KSC, anything remotely resembling a weapon, pocketknife, pepper spray, etc. won’t be permitted and will be confiscated. Cargo bags are discouraged so as to expedite the security check. This tour returns to the pier and will not be available for guests disembarking. Ages 3 to 11 are considered paying children. All venues may not be visited due to time constraints. Guests must prioritize what they wish to visit once at the KSC complex. The paddle time to the cay is approximately 30 minutes. Complimentary snack is served on the cay. Take a 15-minute shuttle ride to famous Cocoa Beach. You’ll get to visit Cocoa Beach Surf Company, Starbucks Coffee, Shark Pit Bar & Grill and a 6,500-gallon shark tank. Surf and beach rentals are available all day. You'll be given a 15% discount card for shopping and dining experiences. From here, you can take a short walk to the beach for sun and fun; visit some restaurants around the area and of course the local landmark, Ron Jon Surf Shop. On the return ride to the ship, the shuttle stops at "The Cove" located in the ports facilities, where you’ll have the option to enjoy lunch or dine at one of many waterfront pier restaurants. Note: Restrooms and hot showers located undercover at the Cocoa Beach Surf Company drop off/pickup location. Shuttle runs continuously every 30 minutes so you can come and go at your leisure. Learn the history of Port Canaveral. From the pier, head over to the Air Force Space & Missile History Center to learn about where the spirit of space exploration began. The History Center features exhibits highlighting every launch complex on Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Next, stop at The Canaveral locks, built in 1965. This is the largest navigation lock in Florida that connects Port Canaveral with the Banana River. For the past 30 years, this lock has been used after every shuttle launch to transport the shuttle booster rockets, which fell into the ocean after liftoff, back to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The Lock is a magnet for fish and birds and on any given day you will see: Brown Pelican, White Ibis, Snowy Egret, Great Blue Heron, and Wood Stork. Manatees and dolphins may often be spotted. Your last stop will be a visit to a fish house and working dock, where thousands of pounds of seafood are caught each year. Here, is where one of Florida’s most known species got its start; the Rock shrimp. Finally, you’ll end your tour with a taste and sampling of Canaveral Shrimp. Note: Wear comfortable shoes. A light sweater or jacket is recommended. less

Enjoy a narrated bus ride through the industrial area of Grand Bahama Island, passing the International Bazaar with its Tori Gate, along Church Row and the endemic pine forest. Upon arrival at the Botanical Garden of the Groves you have the option of a guided tour or to explore on your own. Interpretive signs will highlight this lush tropical landscape with trees and flowers from the Bahamas and around the world. You’ll find a replica of the original chapel from the early logging days, tranquil lagoons with cascading waterfalls, a spiritual labyrinth for meditation and an open-air cafe deck. Local artisans will display authentic Bahamian arts and crafts. Children will also be able to enjoy a magnificent cedar play set. Walk down into the cool fern grove and marvel at the magnificent limestone boulders that tower to both sides of your trail! You may also want to relax on the 'Lofty Fig' deck where cool Bahamian drinks and local delicacies can be purchased. After your visit to the gardens you’ll be transported to Port Lucaya Marketplace for some shopping before returning to your ship. Note: Sunscreen and insect repellent is recommended. less

Be on the lookout for alligators and bald eagles onboard your 15-passenger airboat. Glide through the fresh water marshes and protected wetland hammocks within the heart of the Central Florida. Your guide will narrate interesting facts during your ride to Lone Cabbage, an old style Florida Fish Camp on the banks of the beautiful St. Johns River. Here, you can see a wildlife presentation and you’ll get a chance to hold a live alligator. Then, travel at speeds of almost 40 mph into pristine sections of fresh water and into a natural cypress swamp. Your eco-guide boat captain will point out local wildlife such as alligators, eagles and birds. At the end of your tour, a gator snack and refreshments will be provided. Note: Wildlife sightings are frequent, but not guaranteed during the airboat ride. Alligator sightseeing is guaranteed during the wildlife presentation. A light jacket is recommended. less

Whether you’re snorkeling for the very first time or you consider yourself an expert, you’ll want to experience our adventurous snorkel trail "The Fate of the Fancy" on Great Stirrup Cay. Located in the clear blue waters of Bertram’s Cove, you’ll snorkel your way around the wreckage of the treasure ship 'The Fancy', which sailed towards the Berry Islands in April of 1696 when it disappeared into the darkness of the night. Legend has it that from the depths of the sea appeared the sea creature Lusca, which grasped and destroyed the ship. The trail includes 17 mini reefs comprised of shipwreck artifacts that include cannons, treasure chests, swords and even a sunken piano. Note: Participants must be able to swim. This tour is the length of the ship’s duration in Great Stirrup Cay. less
