Explore New Providence Island on a 4 x 4 vehicle. You’ll be given an orientation of your shared 4WD vehicle. There are four guests to each vehicle, perfect for you and your friends. Take turns driving and navigating through traffic or one person can do all the driving. Listen to your lead guide’s narration though your onboard walkie-talkie while you drive into the island’s interior. Pass through the typical countryside; here you’ll see the island in your own unique style. See one of the old Colonial forts and other historical and architectural buildings. Your guide will also point out homes of the famous and infamous that lived on the island. Then, visit a local beach to relax or swim before caravanning through the countryside back to the staging area. You’ll then walk back at your leisure through town back to the pier. Note: Drivers must be at least 25 years of age and provide a valid driver’s license. This is a self-driven tour with a guide. Begin your adventure of discovery aboard a sleek double-deck catamaran, the M/V Blue Manta. Listen to a narrated tour which recants the history of one of the oldest waterfront cities in the western hemisphere. Arrive at the View-board site and listen as your experienced guide provides safety briefing and demonstration. Then, board your personal view-board and kick your way through some of the world’s most beautiful waters. Purchase some food to feed the fish and watch them gather around you. Also, enjoy the opportunity to snorkel for a closer look underwater or bask in the sun on the uncovered top deck of the catamaran. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age, weigh no more than 220 lbs. and be in good health. Viewboard activity time is approximately 40 minutes. Bring a towel and wear sunscreen. Board this trendy double-deck catamaran, the M/V Blue Manta. Enjoy a narrated tour of the history of one of the western hemisphere’s oldest cities while listening to tropical island music. When you reach the snorkel site, your tour guide will give you a safety briefing and show you how to glide and explore a spectacular undersea world with your underwater power scooter. As you ride for one hour through the water you’ll discover many parrotfish and all other habitants living in this marine protected reef. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age and weigh no more than 250 lbs. This tour includes use of mask, snorkels, fins and power scooter. Bring your swimsuit. Learn about, meet and interact with the most beloved mammal in the ocean - the bottlenose dolphin. Transfer to and from Blue Lagoon Island, home to 19 bottlenose dolphins, by boat from the pier (approximately 40 minutes each way). Upon arrival, meet the trainers for an educational briefing. This program takes place in approximately 20-foot-deep water, in small groups of no more than 10, so everyone has the opportunity to meet the dolphin while in the water and to ask questions. Highlights include a petting and feeding session with the dolphins, the popular high speed 'foot push' and optional professional photo and DVD/video opportunity. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age. Pregnant women are not allowed. Actual in-water encounter time is approximately 30 minutes. Children between the ages of 6 to 12 must be accompanied in the water by a paying guardian/parent. The paying guardian/parent must be book at the same time of the child participant; these booking cannot be made onboard as space is very limited. Lifejackets are required and provided on a complimentary basis; wet suits are available during cooler weather. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel from your ship. Begin your tour with a 40-minute scenic boat ride through historic Nassau Harbor to Blue Lagoon Island. Upon arrival you’ll be given a fun and interactive orientation covering the natural history of sea lions, animal training techniques, ocean conservation and wildlife guidelines. This educational and entertaining encounter is your chance to experience sea lions live and close-up like never before. You’ll have the opportunity to kiss, hug, feed and play with these affectionate and humorous marine mammals. Your sea lion interaction will take place from specially designed, waist-deep submerged platforms in a calm, private island lagoon with ten or less guests in your program. While at the facility, you’ll also have the opportunity to speak with one of the many animal care staff about the care of marine mammals. It will be a unique adventure you’ll never forget! Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age and 48 inches or taller. Guests ages 8 to 12 must be accompanied by a responsible paying adult with a ticket for this encounter. Not advised for pregnant women. Guests must be able to go up and down steps to access the platform. This tour is not able to accommodate handicapped guests. No cameras or videos will be allowed on the sea lion encounter platform. A professional on-site photo and video staff will capture your sea lion interaction and have your memorable souvenirs at an additional cost.
