This is a good opportunity to discover the city of Freeport. Your guide will take you through the industrial, residential and commercial areas of the city, giving you the history and culture of the island and its people. A short stay is recommended in the downtown area where you’ll see the local conch vendors performing their task of preparing a Bahamian conch dish. You’ll have a chance to shop in Port Lucaya marketplace, stop in the casino, stroll through the streets and even visit one of the most beautiful beaches on the island where you can purchase lunch. Note: Liquor can be purchased at duty-free prices. Towels and beach chairs can be rented at an additional price at the beach stop. The beach portion of the tour will be added as of 5/17/11. less

Want to get an even closer look at the world's busiest space launch facility? The Kennedy Space Center Up Close tour, led by a trained space expert, will take you on a two-hour narrated journey through the Space Shuttle program, from launch preparation to lift-off. Included are extremely close stops by Space Shuttle Launch Pads A and B and the huge Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB). The tour will also stop at NASA Causeway, where guests are surrounded by rocket launch pads. This tour includes a KSC souvenir and an informational piece with pictures. Note: Due to the highly secure status of KSC, anything remotely resembling a weapon, pocketknife, pepper spray, etc. won’t be permitted and will be confiscated. Cargo bags are discouraged so as to expedite the security check. This tour returns to the pier and will not be available for guests disembarking. Ages 3 to 11 are considered paying children. All venues may not be visited due to time constraints. Guests must prioritize what they wish to visit once at the KSC complex. This sightseeing tour highlights the panoramic views of Nassau and Paradise Island with a cruise aboard the SeaWorld Explorer, a semi-submarine that makes a fascinating underwater tour of Sea Gardens Marine Park. Transfer by boat from the dock in Nassau for an approximately 20-minute scenic ride through the waterway that divides the two famous sections of New Providence Island. Take in the sights of Nassau and Paradise Island, with its famous resorts surrounded by multi-million dollar homes of the rich and famous and marinas boasting opulent yachts. Arriving at the underwater marine park at Athol Island, transfer to the SeaWorld Explorer underwater viewing vessel. Described as a state-of-the-art glass-bottom boat, this moving underwater observatory offers a cruise while you are seated five feet below the surface of the water in air-conditioned comfort, with a view through clear glass windows. The waters around the island are known as the Sea Gardens, and are filled with shipwrecks and dozens of tropical fish, like yellowtail snapper, sergeant majors, parrotfish and queen angelfish. Observe, first-hand, a delicate colony of coral thousands of years in the making, including seafans, elkhorn, and stag horn coral, even brain coral. During this unforgettable excursion you’ll learn about dolphins at the Interactive Learning Center. Once you arrive to Atlantis, watch an informative video and listen to a marine mammal specialist. Race alongside dolphins, cruise along the surface, or dive to the depths of the saltwater lagoon on your hand-held scooter, while you control your own speed! Explore this wide-open dolphin playground and enjoy Dolphin Cay’s signature ‘foot push,’ where dolphins propel you across the lagoon on a boogie board for a rush unlike any you’ve experienced. You’ll be provided with a snorkel and mask. You’ll also receive an Atlantis map, which will allow you to take a self-guided tour at your leisure of the Ruins Lagoon, a recreation of the sunken streets of mythical Atlantis and the Dig, a replica of an archaeological excavation site. Enjoy complimentary soft drinks while sunbathing at Dolphin’s Cay private beach. Note: Participants must be at least 10 years of age and a minimum height of 3 feet. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a considerable amount of walking once at the resort. Guests must be able to swim in deep water without support vests or assistance. Wetsuits, personal lockers, beach towels and soft drinks are provided. Wetsuits are mandatory. This tour has access to Dolphin Cay private beach to sunbathe and watch the dolphins only; however swimming is not available. This tour is non-refundable. Dolphin Observer tickets are sold onboard only. The transportation for this tour is by bus, approximately 25-minutes each way depending on traffic conditions. Guests participating on an Atlantis Shore Excursion must arrive at the place and time stated on the Shore Excursion ticket. Atlantis tour tickets will not be honored at the resort. There is a considerable amount of walking on this tour (approximately 0.4 miles). To ensure availability, dolphin excursions must be booked no later than 24 hours prior to the port call.
