Bahamas & Florida Cruises: Excursions

Explore the exciting world of Scuba in the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas. You’ll be given a lesson by a diving Instructor who will teach you the basic concepts and skills for scuba diving. After receiving safety instructions, diving gear and practicing a few skills, accompany your instructor on a shallow dive with depths of approximately 15-30 feet. Your dive will last about 40-45 minutes depending on your air consumption. Here, you’ll find a large school of tropical fish while you explore the undersea world. Note: This is a one-tank dive for beginners. Participants must be at least 10 years of age and 5 feet or taller. Not advised for pregnant women or participants with history of heart or lung disorders. All gear equipment is included, except for wetsuits, which are at an additional cost. Bring your swimsuit and a towel. Dive cameras, t-shirts, food and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Guests need to fill out a medical history waiver form prior to participating. Guests currently taking medication or with a previous medical condition must provide a clearance note from their physician to participate in this tour. After an approximate 30-minute bus ride from the pier to Port Lucaya, you’ll arrive to world famous Unexso facility for an unforgettable dolphin experience. You’ll receive a complimentary Dolphin Experience reusable shopping tote. Then, take an approximately 20-minute ferry boat ride along the south shore of the island over to the nine-acre Dolphin Experience Lagoon for an interaction with these wonderful creatures. Once at the lagoon, sit on the dock as the dolphins swim by your feet. You’ll then take turns stepping down onto a three-foot submerged platform in waist-high water and stand face-to-face with the dolphins where you’ll be able to touch, kiss and hug them. The staff will present interesting facts about the dolphins and all participants will have the opportunity to ask the animal care staff questions about these wonderful creatures. After your program take a look at several Macaws and Cockatoos or take a dip in the 17-foot deep pool at Unexso. Note: Participants of all ages are welcomed; children 3 years of age and under are free and those 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian. Guests are not permitted to wear tanning oils or excessive amounts of sunscreen. Jewelry should be removed for the safety of the dolphins. Snacks, beverages and photos will be available for purchase upon your return to the facility. Guests must sign a waiver release form. Board your powered catamaran for a narrated harbor cruise on the way to the snorkeling site off of Athol Island. While cruising around one of the most beautiful harbors in the world, you’ll be briefed on historical points of interest as well as the homes of the rich and famous. Once at the snorkel site you’ll discover the real beauty of the Bahamas. Snorkel in some of the clearest water you’ve ever seen. The friendly staff will guide you along the reef and highlight the fish that you see, answering any questions that you might have. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age to snorkel, and able to swim. A moderate 10 to 15-minute walk is required to/from the boat. Snorkeling equipment is provided prior to departure. less

Join the adventure-seeking aquanauts for an underwater experience. The SUB is like an underwater motorbike with a big bubble filled with a constant flow of air. You’ll be given a lesson on how to use the SUB and some basic safety guidelines. Following an orientation, the SUB guides will take you on a tour of a beautiful shallow reef where they’ll feed the fish for you and stop along the way to point out marine life. Once you arrive to the site, you’ll dip into your SUB bubble and follow your guide. The trips are done in shifts of approximately 10 or 11 people at a time and you are welcome to enjoy a snorkel experience between shifts. It’s easy and fun; you don’t need prior Scuba experience. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age, 5' or taller and in good health. Wet suits and videos of your SUB adventure will be available at an additional cost. They will be shown in the shop following your return to the dock. Guests must sign a waiver release form. The approximate SUB experience is 30-45 minutes. Guests do not need to be strong swimmers. If time permits, guests can snorkel between shipts, it is optional and complimentary. Snorkel gear is included. less

Enjoy the beautiful waters from above and below. View coral formations and a variety of marine life as you snorkel the reefs of Grand Bahama Island. Then sit back and relax to the sound of the wind in the sails as you cruise the Lucaya shores. Note: Participants must be at least 10 years of age. Lemonade or fruit punch and all gear/instructions are provided. Please bring sunscreen and a towel. less

Explore New Providence Island on a 4 x 4 vehicle. You’ll be given an orientation of your shared 4WD vehicle. There are four guests to each vehicle, perfect for you and your friends. Take turns driving and navigating through traffic or one person can do all the driving. Listen to your lead guide’s narration though your onboard walkie-talkie while you drive into the island’s interior. Pass through the typical countryside; here you’ll see the island in your own unique style. See one of the old Colonial forts and other historical and architectural buildings. Your guide will also point out homes of the famous and infamous that lived on the island. Then, visit a local beach to relax or swim before caravanning through the countryside back to the staging area. You’ll then walk back at your leisure through town back to the pier. Note: Drivers must be at least 25 years of age and provide a valid driver’s license. This is a self-driven tour with a guide.
