Take a 15-minute shuttle ride to famous Cocoa Beach. You’ll get to visit Cocoa Beach Surf Company, Starbucks Coffee, Shark Pit Bar & Grill and a 6,500-gallon shark tank. Surf and beach rentals are available all day. You'll be given a 15% discount card for shopping and dining experiences. From here, you can take a short walk to the beach for sun and fun; visit some restaurants around the area and of course the local landmark, Ron Jon Surf Shop. On the return ride to the ship, the shuttle stops at "The Cove" located in the ports facilities, where you’ll have the option to enjoy lunch or dine at one of many waterfront pier restaurants. Your adventure begins as you hop into your jeep and drive off, on the left side of the road, following British tradition. Enjoy a narrated tour of the city highlights with stops at points of interest; all this while learning about the island’s history, original Indian inhabitants and the early settlers. Visit the beautiful Garden of the Groves where you'll relax under a huge fig tree overlooking the waterfalls while enjoying lunch. Stroll through the lovely gardens, browse boutique shops featuring locally made arts and crafts and see artisans create native straw work. Be on the lookout for alligators and bald eagles onboard your 15-passenger airboat. Glide through the fresh water marshes and protected wetland hammocks within the heart of the Central Florida. Your guide will narrate interesting facts during your ride to Lone Cabbage, an old style Florida Fish Camp on the banks of the beautiful St. Johns River. Here, you can see a wildlife presentation and you’ll get a chance to hold a live alligator. Then, travel at speeds of almost 40 mph into pristine sections of fresh water and into a natural cypress swamp. Your eco-guide boat captain will point out local wildlife such as alligators, eagles and birds. At the end of your tour, a gator snack and refreshments will be provided. A treat for nature lovers, the Lucayan National Park is home to Ben's Cave - the longest, underwater surveyed cave system leading to the ocean - located on the eastern end of the island. They form part of the largest uncharted cave system in the world. Across Grand Bahama Street is Gold Rock Creek which is housing to the five ecosystems of Grand Bahama. You'll be able to step down to see part of the cave system and stroll along a wooden boardwalk through a mangrove ecosystem. Here you'll see a variety of wild birds, colorful fish and the spectacular Gold Rock beach - 52 miles of crystal-clear water and pearly white sand. Next, you’ll visit Banana Bay restaurant where you’ll have the option to purchase food and drinks. Lastly, you can choose to go shell hunting or just relax in the beauty of this sunshine paradise. Come see dolphins, manatees, and the diversity of life paired with beautiful scenery. Begin with an easy paddle en route to the kayak launch site. Your tour guide will explain the significance of this endangered backwater estuary. Paddle the mangrove as osprey soar overhead, and cross expansive grass flats. Explore the wildlife on this easy guided and narrated tour. Cruise on your pontoon boat to see herds of manatees, flocks of birds, and playful dolphin on their journey through the Cocoa Beach Thousand Islands. The Thousand Islands are a flood tide delta deposit, formed in the past by a breach in the barrier island by a strong storm surge. This natural occurrence created a maze of narrow trails and canals through the natural mangrove islands and hidden hammocks. The spectacular canals through the Thousand Islands provide shelter to manatee, dolphin and a variety of coastal birds. You’ll observe reddish egret, wood stork, brown and white pelican, bald eagle, nesting osprey, great blue herons, and many more. Enjoy a narrated bus ride through the industrial area of Grand Bahama Island, passing the International Bazaar with its Tori Gate, along Church Row and the endemic pine forest. Upon arrival at the Botanical Garden of the Groves you have the option of a guided tour or to explore on your own. Interpretive signs will highlight this lush tropical landscape with trees and flowers from the Bahamas and around the world. You’ll find a replica of the original chapel from the early logging days, tranquil lagoons with cascading waterfalls, a spiritual labyrinth for meditation and an open-air cafe deck. Board your mono-hull glass-bottom boat for a narrated cruise along Nassau’s coastline. Your guide will share general information about Nassau and the Bahamas and point out historical sites and homes of the rich and famous. Once the vessel is positioned over the reef; you’ll be guided down to the viewing deck. Here, you’ll be given an informative briefing of all that you see through the glass. Explore New Providence Island on a 4 x 4 vehicle. You’ll be given an orientation of your shared 4WD vehicle. There are four guests to each vehicle, perfect for you and your friends. Take turns driving and navigating through traffic or one person can do all the driving. Listen to your lead guide’s narration though your onboard walkie-talkie while you drive into the island’s interior. Pass through the typical countryside; here you’ll see the island in your own unique style. See one of the old Colonial forts and other historical and architectural buildings. Your guide will also point out homes of the famous and infamous that lived on the island. Then, visit a local beach to relax or swim before caravanning through the countryside back to the staging area. You’ll then walk back at your leisure through town back to the pier.
