Lucayan National Park encompasses 40 acres of mangrove swamps, sand dunes, broad beaches, a pine and palm forest. You’ll kayak in a protected creek through a mangrove forest for approximately 90 minutes and venture on a guided 1/4 mile nature walk. Learn about the history of the original Bahamian people. Enjoy a swim and light lunch under shelter at beautiful Gold Rock Beach.
Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and weigh no more than 300 lbs. Two-person kayaks are used. Please wear your swimsuit and bring a towel. Protected footwear such as tennis shoes are highly recommended, no flip-flops please. Water-safe storage bags are provided so you may bring your camera. Lunch consists of do-it-yourself deli sandwiches, fruit, cookies, lemonade and water. Bring water and sun protection. Guests must sign a waiver release form.

Peterson’s is the smallest National Park in the Bahamas. Apart from offering you a unique snorkeling experience this tiny island is home to many species of sea birds. The paddle time to the cay is approximately 30 minutes. Complimentary snack is served on the cay. This exciting tour is fully guided including the snorkeling segment and the guides are qualified divers as well as being certified lifeguards. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and weigh less than 300 lbs. Guests must sign a waiver release form. less

Start your day with a 40-minute scenic boat ride through historic Nassau Harbor towards Blue Lagoon Island. Enjoy this private island at your leisure. Swim on a pristine beach or just relax and lounge in a double hammock. Take part in sports activities such as volleyball, and beach soccer. You can also visit the Dolphin Encounter’s facility and observe friendly Bahamian Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and sea lions in their all-natural habitat. Refresh yourself with a tropical drink and a complimentary lunch. Note: Participants ages 3 or younger receive free admission if accompanied in the program by a participating paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years of age). Premium non-motorized equipment such as aqua bikes, paddle boats and kayaks are available at an additional cost. Regular non-motorized equipment such as inner tubes, big boss noodles, and float mats are included. Wear your swimsuit, bring a towel and cash/credit cards for purchases at the facility. There is an additional fee of $15 per person for the inflatable aqua and bounce parks. Approximately 1/2 to 1 mile of walking on the pier is required. Please visit the Shore Excursions Desk for return departures from Blue Lagoon Island. This tour is available for all ships except Norwegian Epic and Norwegian Sun. less

Embark on an eco-adventure tour to Peterson’s Cay National Park on board Sunshine, a 45-foot motorized catamaran. Here, you’ll be briefed on safety instructions and snorkeling. Next, cruise along the shoreline to a shallow open coral reef, home to hundreds of colorful fish. You can lie right on the surface of the water and see a whole new world. After snorkeling at the reef, a short boat ride will bring you to the 1 1/2 acre island of Peterson’s Cay. Here you can sunbathe, swim, relax or even enjoy more snorkeling time on the sandy beach. Then, you’ll have lunch and witness a native conch cultural demonstration. Enjoy complimentary and unlimited Bahama Mama, sweetened ice tea and lemonade. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age, weigh no more than 300lbs. and in good health conditions. Guests must sign a waiver release form. Snorkel equipment is included. This leisurely 13-mile bike tour takes you along the shoreline into the old settlements of Williams Town and Smith's Point. See the dolphins at their home in Sanctuary Bay and take in the local architecture and native flora. Relax with a native snack at a beachfront restaurant where you can refresh yourself in the crystal-blue waters. Finally, a bus ride takes you to colorful Port Lucaya Marketplace where you can shop before heading back to your ship. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age and a minimum height of 5 feet. Two types of bikes are available: comfort cruisers and mountain bikes. Bring your swimsuit and a towel. See the best of the vibrant Grand Bahama Island on this adventurous jeep tour. A short bus ride from the pier will take you to your waiting jeep. Your adventure begins as you hop into your jeep and drive off, on the left side of the road, following British tradition. Enjoy a narrated tour of the city highlights with stops at points of interest; all this while learning about the island’s history, original Indian inhabitants and the early settlers. Visit the beautiful Garden of the Groves where you'll relax under a huge fig tree overlooking the waterfalls while enjoying lunch. Stroll through the lovely gardens, browse boutique shops featuring locally made arts and crafts and see artisans create native straw work. Your journey continues to one of Grand Bahama’s finest beach clubs where you can take a dip in the crystal clear water. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Guests wishing to drive must be at least 25 years of age and present a valid driver's license. Four guests per jeep; jeeps have manual or automatic transmission. Swimsuit, towel, camera, sunscreen, and strap sandals or closed toe comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Jeep will travel on unpaved roads at times and the ride will be bumpy. Come ride the adventure of a lifetime. Travel across the waters of the St John’s River into the scenic natural wetlands of Florida on a 30-minute airboat ride. Your certified captain will whisk across the deep and shallow water into the highways of the swamp. Each ride will offer you a unique and exhilarating experience of its own. Come within hands reach of alligators, snakes, osprey and turtles. You’ll also have the opportunity to see eagles, hawks, cranes, egrets and herons soaring above. As you race across the water see the picturesque habitats of Florida including pickerel weed and water lilies. Your ride will be narrated using noise canceling voice activated headsets. Be sure to hold on to your hats as you rip across the St. Johns River on this fun filled educational tour. After your airboat ride, board a coach for a short ride to Jungle Adventures Nature Park & Zoo. You can’t get any closer to Florida’s natural wildlife without living in the swamp. Come and experience live guided wildlife encounters with rare Florida panthers, black bears, gray wolves, white-tailed deer, tropical birds, reptiles and mammals. Take a jungle swamp cruise, be surrounded by alligators, and witness some gator feeding. See how Spanish conquistadors lived in the 16th Century at the replica Spanish fort and go on a live guided exploration of their Native American Indian Village replica. A treat for nature lovers, the Lucayan National Park is home to Ben's Cave - the longest, underwater surveyed cave system leading to the ocean - located on the eastern end of the island. They form part of the largest uncharted cave system in the world. Across Grand Bahama Street is Gold Rock Creek which is housing to the five ecosystems of Grand Bahama. You'll be able to step down to see part of the cave system and stroll along a wooden boardwalk through a mangrove ecosystem. Here you'll see a variety of wild birds, colorful fish and the spectacular Gold Rock beach - 52 miles of crystal-clear water and pearly white sand. Next, you’ll visit Banana Bay restaurant where you’ll have the option to purchase food and drinks. Lastly, you can choose to go shell hunting or just relax in the beauty of this sunshine paradise.
