After a brief tender ride to Belize City, you’ll board a motor launch for a guided tour of the Old Belize River. On this scenic waterway, look out for crocodiles, howler monkeys, iguanas and other wildlife. Some 20 miles upstream, you’ll disembark at The Olde River Tavern for a tasty Belizean lunch and refreshments. From here you’ll then travel by road to Belize's famous wildlife habitat, the Belize Zoo. This facility is home to the endemic species of the region that are cared for in their natural environment behind protective fencing. Note: Animals in the zoo are not in cages but protected by fences. The zoo is not recommended for wheelchairs, walkers or canes, as it has loose gravel paths. Boats are exposed to the elements. less

This tour offers offers local culture, Mayan history and a beach buffet with open bar. Your tour begins when your guide meets you at the end of the pier and escorts you to your air-conditioned transfer vehicle which is waiting nearby. Listen to your guide and learn about the interesting local area and culture while you pass through the fishing village with ocean views. Continue this tour inland to visit 'The Place of the Red Corn', Chacchoben Mayan Ruins, and learn about the fascinating Mayan culture. Enjoy a guided tour of this unique archaeological site set in beautiful surroundings and still partially covered in the rainforest. Climb to the top of the 'Gran Basamento' taking you above the tree tops to visit two sacred temples. Before leaving, you'll have the opportunity to buy souvenirs from the onsite gift store. Your journey continues to a Mexican buffet waiting for you at Costa Maya’s most luxurious resort, Uvero Beach Club. After your meal, sunbathe on a sun lounger, relax in a hammock, take a swim in the ocean, or play beach volleyball and enjoy complimentary drinks including your favorite national cocktails. Feeling fully relaxed, well fed and in good spirits, your transfer awaits to return you to your ship. White sand beaches and crystal clear Caribbean waters can be enjoyed within minutes of arriving in Roatan. This adventurous island retreat offers two secluded beaches, excellent snorkeling from a scenic pier, a 70,000 gallon swimming pool, 5,000 square foot lounge deck and lush garden paths bursting with indigenous flora. Most recently a wildlife sanctuary and rescue center has been established and Maya Key is now home to wildlife that have been injured, orphaned, confiscated or donated. Residents at the sanctuary change frequently, but there is always someone interesting hanging around. Sit back in your air-conditioned transportation as we travel through the colorful city of Coxen Hole to a panoramic observation sight for stunning views of the picturesque city port and town center. Take a postcard shot with your ship in the background. Great souvenir shopping can be done here as well. Continuing on we’ll travel through Dixon's Cove, famous for its history of pirates. We'll continue on through the communities of Brick Bay, Mount Pleasant and the fishing village of French Harbor before arriving to Sherman's Iguana Refuge and Fish Nursery in French Cay. Here you'll have a wonderful experience with nature as you mingle among hundreds of iguanas that live in their natural habitat but are as tame as pets. Watch massive tarpons swim alongside the barracuda and other shell fish species such as Caribbean lobsters and conch at the Fish Nursery. Visit an exclusive private estate known as Cindy’s Paradise Place at the top of First Bight Community. Enjoy stunning views of the whole island surrounded by the world-famous barrier reef. In 1494, when the Spanish discovered Jamaica, they named the village Ocho Rios, after the wondrous 'eight rivers' they saw here. Today you’ll explore one of those eight rivers that the Spanish found - the amazing, untouched White River. Take a step back in time when your adventure begins at the 17th-century landmark, Spanish Bridge. This is a site you can only see on your river tubing expedition. As you get ready to journey down the cool waters of the White River, which gained its name from the pristine clarity of its water, you’ll receive a safety briefing from your experienced guides who will also outfit you with all of your safety equipment for your journey ahead. This three-mile ride down the White River not only gives you the rich history of Jamaica, it shows you the beauty of our land as you pass by coconut plantations, bamboo groves and along river banks filled with indigenous flora and fauna. The real adventure lies in the White River as you enjoy her many moods, which will bring you to challenging rapids and enchanting lagoons. The breathtaking views and vistas of this tour, which takes you between two of our island’s most scenic parishes, St. Mary and St. Ann on what locals call the 'Interparish Express', can only be found on the River Tubing Safari Tour. As you disembark the White River, you’ll find yourself in one of Jamaica’s most beautiful valleys. The White River Valley property is a garden paradise with over 100 species of flowers for your viewing pleasure. Your dolphin encounter in Roatan takes place in a natural setting that resembles a Tahitian island village. The resort is laid out on two small keys, one of which is the private home to a large family of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. You’ll travel across the resort's lagoon to Bailey’s Key where your encounter will begin with a brief orientation at a beachfront cabana. Following the orientation, you'll walk along a white sandy beach to into gin-clear, waist-deep Caribbean waters and join trained naturalists, where you'll receive a personal introduction to a resident dolphin. The trainer will describe the dolphins’ characteristics, anatomy and behaviors and give you the opportunity to touch, kiss and play with a member of this friendly family of marine mammals. During the session you'll have excellent photo opportunities in addition to professional photographs that will be taken of you and your new friends. These photographs will be available for purchase following the encounter. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age. less

Your experience begins with a 25-minute bus transfer to the Atlantis Resort at Paradise Island. Upon arrival, you’ll be escorted to a reserved location on the beach where you’ll be provided a beach lounge chair and towel to bask in the sun and a self-guided map which will help you find your way around the resort. You can enjoy shopping at a variety of unique stores, gaming in the Atlantis Casino or visit the Dig, a unique marine habitat that is home to more than 50,000 marine life. Water bikes, peddle boats, kayaks, water hammocks and snorkeling equipment are all available for an additional charge. Note: Participants ages 3 or younger receive free admission if accompanied by a participating paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years of age). There is a considerable amount of walking on this tour. Complimentary guided tours are available at the Discover Atlantis kiosk throughout the day. This tour does not include the use of the swimming pools, water slides, pool deck and pool lounge chairs, as these areas are exclusive to hotel guests. The Atlantis Resort uses a cashless system at many of its outdoor food and beverage venues located near the beach area. Guests should bring a credit card to use at these locations. Cash venues are very limited. Transportation for this tour is by bus, there is approximately 25 minutes each way depending on traffic conditions. This tour is only available on Norwegian Epic, Norwegian Sun and Norwegian Pearl sailings. Guests participating on an Atlantis Shore Excursion must arrive at the place and time stated on the Shore Excursion ticket. Atlantis tour tickets will not be honored at the resort. less

Take a short drive to the Dolphin Center at the Nuevo Vallarta Marina. After a brief presentation, head down the dock to a 14,500-square-foot holding pen and as you stand waist-deep in the water, you’ll be introduced to the beautiful Pacific bottlenose dolphin in a hands-on, up-close encounter for approximately 15 minutes. They are as curious about you as you are about them. Take full advantage of this unique opportunity to pet them gently and you’ll even receive a dolphin kiss. During your encounter you’ll also learn ways to ensure their preservation and foster the well-being of these amazing creatures. After your activity with the dolphins, enjoy a complimentary lunch at the dolphin marina and free time to purchase souvenirs or photos to remind you and your family of this incredible experience.
