Step into a Safari Land Rover® and prepare to see the most beautiful places on the island. Sites that are usually inaccessible are no problem for a 4 x 4 Land Rover®. Drive up through the picturesque village of Buckleys, viewing the scenic valley of Body Pond. Then, it's off-roading time, to see some rare and amazing tropical plant life. Travel along Fig Tree Drive, home of Antigua's lush rainforest. As you come to the end of the rainforest, you'll tour along the southwest coast, an area of the island famous for pineapple plantations. Your knowledgeable guide will entertain you with tales of Antigua past and present. Then, it's on to the beach for a cool, refreshing dip. Note: Participants must be at least 4 years of age and weigh no more than 250 lbs. Not recommended for pregnant women or those with back or neck problems. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel. less

On the tour you’ll pass through the historic seaport, by Southernmost Point, down exciting Duval Street, and unearth the stories of our unique heritage from the Bahamas, Cuba and New England. From bold Spanish explorers and brave wreckers to the great cigar barons and sponge magnates, you’ll be transported from the golden age of settlement through the exciting days of the railroad, and discover island life through the years of the Great Depression. You’ll quickly see why Key West has been home to writers and poets, musicians and artists, and visitors who find the Southernmost City magical. Your tour will conclude at Mallory Square, the hub of Old Town Key West. Continue along a winding road near the rainforest bypassing the fishing villages of Anse la Raye and Canaries before coming to Soufriere, where the dramatic towering twin pinnacles 'The Pitons' majestically rise more than 2,500 feet. Visit the Sulphur Springs the world's only drive-in volcano, the lush Botanical Gardens and Diamond Mineral Waterfall, before continuing to Soufriere Bay where you'll board a catamaran/boat for the sea portion of your tour. Board your transportation for a sightseeing tour of Samana city. Your first stop will be at La Chorcha, an old building built in England to house the freed North American congregation in the 1860s. Next, you’ll head to a small exhibition featuring the skeletal remains of a humpback whale. You will learn some of the mysteries and habits of the whale, which makes an annual pilgrimage very near to the shores of Samana. Leaving Samana town behind, and on your way to Las Terrenas village, you will make a brief stop at a typical, rustic cigar factory where you can watch as the famous cigars are hand-rolled. You will also have a photo stop featuring the north coast of Samana. Once at Las Terrenas, well-known for its sand-floor and beach side café’s and bars, you will receive a brief orientation. You will then enjoy a rum-tasting featuring the famous Dominican rums. You will learn a bit about the rum production process before delighting in the results of the process. You will then have free-time to relax, take a dip in the sea or stroll the sand streets and visit the small shops before returning to the port. Enjoy a guided drive through one of the most beautiful cities in the Caribbean with its 17th century architecture and historical buildings. You will have the opportunity to stroll around the grounds of the biggest fortification built by the Spaniards in the New World on your self guided visit to Fort San Cristobal. Come see its Main Plaza, “Garitas” watchtowers and authentic mortal balls. Re-board your bus and continue your guided tour to the New City, which will take you to the Condado District, filled with high-rise condos and luxury resorts. A stop is made at one of the beautiful beaches and the Capitol Building for pictures. Return to Old San Juan where you'll visit the famous Plaza Colón. Here you may choose to stay to explore the local surroundings and enjoy some shopping or return to the ship. Take a step back in time and enjoy this captivating journey through history. Note: We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a hat and sunscreen. Due to walking required at the fort, the activity level is substantial. The fort is not wheelchair accessible. There is a steep ramp to access the fort (about 65 paces one way). The first level features the barracks, gun rooms, and video presentation. The next level requires walking up another steep ramp (about 35 paces one way). Accessing the third level observation ports for the best views of the city requires going up another steep ramp (about 65 paces one way). Some of the stops are unguided allowing guests to browse on their own. Traffic in old and new San Juan can be congested. Alternate routes are implemented whenever possible.
