Upon arriving in St. John, you'll view some of the most wonderful sights in the Caribbean, including white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and island views of the British Virgin Islands. You’ll also see Cinnamon Bay, one of the last working plantations on St. John. Back along the north shore coast road you’ll stop at overlooks such as Cinnamon Bay, Trunk Bay and Caneel Bay looking out over Rockefeller Plantation and Hawksnest Bay. You’ll have time to browse the charming shops and boutiques in Cruz Bay at the end of this island tour, before boarding the ferry back to your ship. Note: This tour originates in St. Thomas and goes directly to St. John by way of an approximately 45-minute ferry ride each way. less

The main house of this once-thriving plantation was built over 300 year ago and is magnificently furnished. The cellar houses the Caribbean's finest collection of antique carriages. Remarkably clear, the waters of St. John need to be seen to be believed. This is your opportunity to board a ferry for a short cruise through Pilsbury Sound to St. John. Upon arrival, you'll board an open-air safari taxi for a relaxing ride to Trunk Bay, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to view and photograph spectacular sights alongside the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy approximately one-and-a-half hours at beautiful Trunk Bay to swim, snorkel, sunbathe, or just relax under swaying palm trees. Afterward, you’ll reboard your transport and take a short trip back to Cruz Bay, if time permits, you can do a little shopping as you wait for the scenic return ferry cruise to St. Thomas. This tour will take you along Bay Street, the heart of Nassau’s shopping district, to the Queen's Staircase built in the days of England's Queen Victoria, it consists of over 65 steps cut out of solid coral rock. Catch your breath and shop around the kiosk before going to your next stop, Fort Fincastle. This fort was built in 1793 and it was designed based on the shape of a paddle wheel steamer. Next, take an outside visit to Fort Charlotte, built in the British-Colonial era to defend the island against marauding pirates. Here you’ll board a semi-submarine for an approximately 45-minute narrated tour of the coral reefs surrounding Creole Rock. The highlight of the trip is when a diver is surrounded by schools of fish and green spotted moray eels. Back on shore, your tour continues to the French capital of Marigot, where you’ll have time to explore this attractive port city with its sidewalk cafes, open-air market and duty-free shops. You'll be greeted at the pier by your bilingual guide and then board an air-conditioned motorcoach for a scenic drive around the island of Cozumel. Your first stop is the exciting Discover Mexico Park, where you'll see a taste of many famous places of Mexico displayed in Perfect Scale Models, also enjoy the museum and video projections. Then it’s off to the oldest settlement on the island, El Cedral. Learn about the ancient history of the Mayan culture that first inhibited this tiny village where the first Catholic service was held in Mexico. Next, continue around the southern tip of the island to the eastside where you'll see the untamed beaches on your way to El Mirador, a popular natural limestone formation for a photo opportunity and to stretch your legs. Get to know real Tequila Factory and sample tequila. Your trip then takes you back into town for a stop at Cozumel’s shopping district - don’t forget your ship’s recommended shopping guide. Then it’s on to Beacon Point, which offers breathtaking island views from the observation platform. Stop at Skyline overlook to see the historic harbor of Charlotte Amalie 800 feet above your cruise ship. Next, enjoy views of heart-shaped, palm-fringed Megan’s Bay (one of the top 10 beaches in the world) from Drake’s Seat before continuing to St. Peter Great House and Botanical Gardens, once the haunt of the rich and famous. This is a magnificent Caribbean estate, featuring stunning views, classic Caribbean architecture and vintage furnishings in a beautiful, tropical setting. Enjoy a refreshing complimentary rum or fruit punch and stroll the lush grounds, perched 1,000 feet above the ocean that is home to more than 100 varieties of tropical fauna. Board your air-conditioned coach for the approximately 25-minute drive to Bacardi located in Catano. Tour the famous Bacardi Visitor Center which traces the famed rum distillery's history and heritage from the company's founding to the present. Your approximately 90-minute, self-guided audio tour is a multimedia experience that visits seven exhibit rooms, including a state-of-the-art theater. Your tour concludes with a visit to the Hospitality Pavilion for a complimentary cocktail. Bacardi products are available for purchase. As you leave the town of Catano, you'll pass the Condado District, a modern area of high-rise condominiums and luxury resorts. This guided drive will take you to Old San Juan and its 17th century architecture alongside its magnificent historical buildings where you'll have the opportunity to stroll around the grounds of the biggest fortification built by the Spaniards in the New World, on your self-guided visit to Fort San Cristobal. Come see its Main Plaza, 'Garitas' watchtowers and authentic mortal balls. Once you are done your guide will bring you back to your ship. Note: Participants must be at least 21 years of age to sample alcoholic beverages. Bacardi is a popular site; for this reason extended wait time may be experienced. Sit back in your air-conditioned transportation as we travel through the colorful city of Coxen Hole to a panoramic observation sight for stunning views of the picturesque city port and town center. Take a postcard shot with your ship in the background. Great souvenir shopping can be done here as well. Continuing on we’ll travel through Dixon's Cove, famous for its history of pirates. We'll continue on through the communities of Brick Bay, Mount Pleasant and the fishing village of French Harbor before arriving to Sherman's Iguana Refuge and Fish Nursery in French Cay. Here you'll have a wonderful experience with nature as you mingle among hundreds of iguanas that live in their natural habitat but are as tame as pets. Watch massive tarpons swim alongside the barracuda and other shell fish species such as Caribbean lobsters and conch at the Fish Nursery. Visit an exclusive private estate known as Cindy’s Paradise Place at the top of First Bight Community. Enjoy stunning views of the whole island surrounded by the world-famous barrier reef. From the sultry history of the French Quarter to the grand majesty of St. Charles Avenue’s stately mansions, this tour has it all. Your guide ushers you through the city’s most fascinating neighborhoods, landmarks and cemeteries, while sharing interesting facts and fabled stories. Once aboard your comfortable coach, sit back and enjoy a narrated tour including the renowned French Quarter, Jackson Square, the Cabildo, (seat of the old Spanish government) and the architecture that makes New Orleans unique among American cities. Travel down historic Esplanade Avenue, the 'Grand Boulevard of the Creoles' and stop briefly at the St. Louis Cemetery, where your guide explains New Orleans' unique custom of above-ground burials. See Lake Pontchartrain and the New Orleans yacht harbor. Continue through the old town of Carrollton to St. Charles Avenue past Tulane and Loyola Universities and Audubon Park and Zoological Gardens. Follow the streetcar route, the traditional route of Mardi Gras parades, into the Garden District. Return to the Central Business District of New Orleans and pass by the spectacular Superdome.
