Enter Monkey Refugio where spider, white faced, and howler monkeys are eager and willing for you to hold and play with them. Trace the steps of the real pirates of the Caribbean inside Coxen’s Cave where you’ll encounter the infamous Captain John Coxen. Roam through the Botanical Garden and learn more about exotic plants indigenous to the region. Ready to bask in the sun? Imagine a place where jungle meets the ocean. You’ll visit a place where you can bask in the sun in private sun loungers at the waters edge or retreat to the shade of lush tropical vegetation. This excursion combines the charm of both old and new Mexico. Begin with a drive through the Marina Vallarta area and a stop at the small village’s local church. Continue to Hacienda Dona Engracia, one of the finest tequila factories in the area for a first-hand look at the manufacturing process of tequila and some free time to explore the grounds of this working hacienda. A short shopping stop will be made on the way into the center of Puerto Vallarta where you can walk along the popular Malecon, visit the Cathedral of our Lady of Guadalupe and see Old Town City Hall, while taking in fantastic views of the waterfront and the charm of the cobblestone streets. You may choose to stay in town on your own or return to your ship. Note: Short pants are not permitted in the cathedral. Tequila samples are only given to guests 21 and older. less

At Burrell Boom, a quaint settlement on the riverbank, you’ll be served a tasty local lunch with refreshments at The Olde River Tavern, located on the banks of the Olde Belize River. You’ll then board your tour bus and drive to Altun Ha (Mayan for 'Rock Stone Water'), where Dr. David Pendergast of the Royal Ontario Museum uncovered the famous jade head Kinich Ahau. At the ruins, your guide takes you through this breathtaking site named after the majestic cahoon palm tree that grows fronds up to 40 feet tall. Kohunlich Ruins include a sunken palace, acropolis, ball court, courtyards and the main attraction - the masks. Climb the pyramid-like temple for a view of the unique 10-foot high sculpted masks of the sun god 'Kinich Ahau.' Built before 500 A.D., these marvelous masks still retain some of their original colored stucco. Note: There is a government tax of $5-8 US for the use of video cameras at the site. No tripods and/or professional video cameras are allowed. A boxed lunch and a complimentary bottle of water is included. less

Would you like to enjoy a day of authentic Mexican fun? At Hacienda Dona Engracia we have a real Mexican Fiesta planned for you, with colors, displays, contests and more. Upon arrival enjoy a guided tour of the hacienda and tequila factory, with free tequila samples. During lunch you’ll be entertained with music, displays of dancing horses, traditional Mexican folkloric ballet and of course, typical Mexican food. After the party there will be time for some contests, prizes and fun. Then you’ll head to the downtown area for a city tour and some shopping in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. Passing through the charming downtown area you’ll see the famous waterfront Malecon, the ever popular statues and the beautiful Our Lady of Guadalupe Cathedral before you head back to your ship. Relax on board a modern catamaran as you cruise south of Puerto Vallarta following the spectacular tropical coastline of Banderas Bay. Your journey takes you past some of the most picturesque scenery in Vallarta, where dolphins and humpback whales are often sighted during the winter months. The morning is spent at the tranquil cove of Majahuitas, an unspoiled area of natural beauty on the southern coast of Banderas Bay. Only accessible by sea, Majahuitas offers ideal conditions for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking. After lunch aboard your catamaran, head off to Yelapa, an old charming Mexican fishing village set in it's own natural bay. Long a famous day trip from Puerto Vallarta, Yelapa has become a must on most tourist's lists, but since there are no roads in, this tropical paradise is only accessible by boat. The tiny village is a true escape from civilization. If you love the outdoors and want to spend time exploring nature, this idyllic spot is perfect for you. Hike through the jungle to the waterfall, swim in the cove's protected waters, or just relax on the expansive beach. As you cruise back to Puerto Vallarta, the on board fiesta wraps up a day full of fun-in-the-sun with an open bar, dancing, music and entertainment provided by the friendly crew. Note: Snorkel and kayak equipment are provided, minimum age for these activities is 8 years old. Bring your swimsuit, towel, hat, sunscreen and a light sweater or windbreaker. There is a 100-yard walk from pier to boat and a 500-yard optional hike up to the waterfalls. In Yelapa, walking is on uneven sandy surfaces with some rocky paths. less

This tour covers the entire length of the island of Bermuda and includes a view of the famous pink sand beaches. Your driver will pick you up in a bus shipside and head out through Dockyard into Somerset Village. You'll pass over Somerset Drawbridge, the smallest drawbridge in the world. A photo stop will be made at the Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, where you can enjoy the 360 degree view offered from the base. Continuing on this coastal drive allows for an even more impressive view of the South Shore beaches with their pink sand, azure blue waters and the imposing barrier reef that encircles the island. Pass by the Botanical Gardens and drive to St. Georges, a World Heritage Site. The town’s history is visible with its narrow winding alleys and cobblestone streets. Next you’ll make your way into the City of Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda, before your return to the ship.

Take a scenic drive to the tropical forest area of Bijagual, which is located near the boundaries of the Carara Biological Reserve. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Pura Vida Botanical Gardens, one of the most spectacular private gardens in Costa Rica. See beautifully manicured gardens noticing that they are also bordered by one of the tallest waterfalls in the country. Pura Vida is home to over 60,000 flowering plants, including 60 varieties of heliconia, 10 varieties of ginger, and orchids. Look for butterflies, macaws, parrots, parakeets, toucans, kingfishers, birds of prey, and waterfowl. During the 1 1/2 hour guided walk along gravel trails, your guide will help you explore this incredible wonderland. Take in the ocean views in the distance as you meander through the walkways and see some wildlife. After the walk concludes, continue on for a few minutes to Villa Lapas Ecological Hotel, where fresh tropical fruits will replenish your energy. Then browse the gift shop for souvenirs before heading back to your ship. Weather permitting, a quick stop will also made at the Tarcoles River for crocodile observation. Note: Participants must be in good health. Those with severe walking or mobility issues should not participate, as there is required walking on gravel terrain with some inclines. It’s a jungle out there - and we’ll guide you through it. Drive along the scenic coastal highway to Mismaloya, one of the most exciting jungle locations in the foothills of the mountains. This exotic tropical forest has been the set of several films, thanks to its dense vegetation and the absolute primal nature of the area. In this jungle paradise you’ll have plenty of time to explore the surroundings and take a swim in the natural pools formed by the river and guided walking tour. A Mexican lunch will be served under the palapa before you head back to town where you can either return to your ship or stay in town for some shopping before returning to your ship on your own. A short stop will be made on your way out to visit Hacienda Dona Engracia, one of the finest tequila factories in the area.
