Begin with a scenic ride along Skyline Drive offering breathtaking panoramas of Charlotte Amalie harbor, the Caribbean Sea, British Virgin Islands and Magens Bay, rated one of the top ten beaches in the world by National Geographic magazine. Enjoy a photo stop before continuing down to the heart-shaped beach and crystalline waters at Magens Bay for two hours of swimming and relaxation. Experience the world-famous Blackbeard's Castle and the Kongens (King's) Quarter, sometimes called "The Williamsburg of the Caribbean." Learn about the island's legacy of pirates, slavery, and life as you visit National Landmark Properties dating back to the late 1600s. Pass the famous 99 Steps and visit the Caribbean World Amber Museum, the Rum Museum and Factory, and West Indian Treasure Company. Your tour concludes on Main Street to indulge in the recommended downtown shopping. Note: Wear your swimsuit, sun protection and bring a towel. Tour duration is approximately 5 hours, depending upon your personal touring and shopping time. In order to allow for a leisurely shopping experience, this tour ends Downtown. Return to the ship is on your own and taxi safaris are readily available Downtown. The cost is approximately $4.00 per person. Explore the exciting world of Scuba in the crystal-clear waters of the Bahamas. You’ll be given a lesson by a diving Instructor who will teach you the basic concepts and skills for scuba diving. After receiving safety instructions, diving gear and practicing a few skills, accompany your instructor on a shallow dive with depths of approximately 15-30 feet. Your dive will last about 40-45 minutes depending on your air consumption. Here, you’ll find a large school of tropical fish while you explore the undersea world. Note: This is a one-tank dive for beginners. Participants must be at least 10 years of age and 5 feet or taller. Not advised for pregnant women or participants with history of heart or lung disorders. All gear equipment is included, except for wetsuits, which are at an additional cost. Bring your swimsuit and a towel. Dive cameras, t-shirts, food and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Guests need to fill out a medical history waiver form prior to participating. Guests currently taking medication or with a previous medical condition must provide a clearance note from their physician to participate in this tour. After about 45 minutes you will reach the exit point and then be taken to Bamboo Beach Club, an unforgettable tropical paradise. Enjoy one of the most unique cultural experiences on the island, as live entertainment is ongoing and gives you a real feel of the Jamaican culture. Dancers, reggae drummers, exotic singers and acrobats perform vibrant and energetic shows right on the beach. Take a swim in the sea, dip your toes in the sand, and sip on glasses of beer, Jamaican mojitos, rum punch and lemonade as our DJ plays a mix of local and reggae beats.
