Take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime experience, the thrill of racing aboard a multimillion-dollar America's Cup race boat. Two classic thoroughbreds nearly 70-feet long with masts the height of an eight-story building, duel in an equal match for a fractional advantage. They round the first mark and head off on the next leg. The race boats slice through the clear blue waters at speeds you have never sailed before. The skippers and crew members explain the strategy for winning the race, and you rise to the task! And, as if by miracle, a photo boat arrives to record for posterity the moment you raced a '12' to 'victory' in the St. Maarten 'America's Cup' 12-Meter Regatta. Note: Participants must be 12 years of age and no sailing experience is required. Let's party aboard a Chiva! Drink, laugh, clap, sing and listen to jokes, as you enjoy non-stop "papayera" or "vallenato". Meet new people, enjoy live music and take part in the open bar while your Chiva takes you around Cartagena. You’ll make a photo stop at San Felipe Fortress, Manga, Pie de la Popa, El Centro, Boca Grande, Laguito, Castillo Grande, and the old city. Your Chiva will stop at the historic Santa Calatina’s Bastion. Here you can stretch, enjoy refreshments, dance to the beat of the music band or enjoy local entertainment. You’ll have some time for souvenir and handicraft shopping at Las Bovedas Artisan Center. Note: Chiva buses are old artisan modified buses used in rural areas for public transport. They are painted colorfully with local arabesques and figures. Most of the chivas have an incorporated ladder for the rack on the roof which is also used for carrying people; seats are bench like, made out of wood and with doors instead of windows and all of them have a unique nickname. This unique dolphin experience allows small children, ages four to eight, to get closer to dolphins than they ever dreamed possible. The program starts with a poolside introduction to a family of dolphins. Children can touch and interact with them in a hands-on session led by an experienced dolphin trainer on a shallow shelf in a specially designed maternity pool. A special feature of the Dolphin Kids program is that the youngest members of the dolphin adventure family participate alongside their mothers in this very unique family experience. Everyone will receive a friendly dolphin kiss and have a chance to pet and hug the dolphins. Parents may accompany their children to the dolphin center by paying for an observer ticket, but will not participate in the water with the dolphins. Note: Participants must be between 4 and 8 years of age. This is a Dolphin Kids Encounter program. Parents must buy an observer ticket, but cannot participate in the water with the dolphins. Do not wear jewelry or sunscreen lotion as it may be harmful to the animals. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing and bring a towel. Lockers available free of charge. After your encounter, enjoy a complimentary lunch and some free time to purchase memories of your experience to share with your friends and family. less

Float down the Copalita River in an eight-person raft and experience its beautiful landscape. Your guide will give instructions and safety briefing, and then you'll enjoy your descent while floating silently downstream for approx 60 minutes. There is much to see for all nature lovers: The natural habitat of the local tropical birds, parrots, egrets, herons, frigate birds, cormorants, sand pipers, king fishers, oriols and wrens; and the variety in tropical flora and fauna - 80% of the vegetation is low jungle caducifoliae (drops leaves once a year)- with some tree species growing up to 18 meters. Approximately 100 species of birds are present in this area, including several endangered, protected and rare species. This is an unforgettable day with overwhelming natural beauty. Note: Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Guests must be in good physical condition. Pregnant women and guests with heart or respiratory conditions or back and neck injuries are not allowed to participate. Not recommended for guests in wheelchairs or who use walking aids such as canes or crutches. Necessary gear such as helmets and life vests will be provided. Visit the Montserrat Children’ Home, an orphanage created in 1982 by Fray Casiano de Madrid. Here, you’ll be welcomed by one of the sisters and children. Your tour guide will serve as interpreter as you are given an explanation of the programs carried at the home. You’ll meet and partake with the children as you learn about their daily duties, games and programs. These children are brought up with good values and manners which can be applied to their future adult lives. The home was operated by a group of young ladies who later became the Congregation of Missionary Sisters of the Assumption. Today, they provide comprehensive care to dozens of children from the ages of one through 18 and aim to give them the best possible quality of life. Next, visit the orchid’s farm, located in the small village of Miramar. Here, you'll learn about the orchid’s habitat, their means of cultivation, blooming and how they are prepared for export. Your guide will acquaint you with the country’s history, politics and culture while you admire the northern countryside and landscape. Costa Rica is a blessed country with year-round spring weather, and the exuberance of its flora has given it the name of Garden of the Americas. Enjoy tropical fruits buffet and refreshments before heading back to your ship. Note: Tour sequence may vary, this is a donation tour. All rollercoaster enthusiasts and adventure seekers will simply love this thrill ride as you fly down the mountain and through the lush tropical forest on a specially built Jamaican bobsled and raised track. Board your air-conditioned transportation for the short drive to Mystic Mountain. Upon arrival embark the Sky Explorer chairlift for a picturesque 15-minute ride through the tropical canopy to the top station. Prior to boarding the bobsled spend a few minutes discovering the interactive educational displays showcasing Jamaica’s history, culture and of course the story of Jamaica’s original bobsled team that competed in the 1988 and 1992 Winter Olympics. After a safety orientation briefing, board your bobsled for an exhilarating ride down the mountain. The ride features a gravity-driven plunge of 3,280 feet with many twists and turns as you make your way through the tropical forest. You control the speed of your descent with an in-sled handbrake, allowing for either a leisurely ride or a pulse quickening dive to the bottom of the mountain. Once you come to a controlled stop, you and the bobsled are slowly raised back to the top through the forest on an elevated tramway. Spend as much time as you desire at the top admiring the panoramic views, swimming in the infinity edge pool or enjoying a tasty snack from the restaurant. When you are ready to depart, simply hop a ride on the Sky Explorer back to the bottom where a shuttle will take you back to the ship. Note: Participants must be at least 46 inches tall and not suffer from a previous heart condition, neck or back injuries or is pregnant. less

Take part in one of Mexico’s most valued traditions as you taste a variety of Mexico’s famous Tequila and Mezcal. From the pier, you’ll be transferred to a historic local house that has been transformed into a boutique hotel. This charming setting boasts a collection of local folk art and exotic plant arrangements from the region. The owner will show you around the grounds before gathering the group in the dining room. Learn about the tequila and mezcal making processes as well as the different properties that make each unique. After a brief history lesson, you’ll have the opportunity to taste some of Mexico’s best tequila and mezcal. Then, enjoy a demonstration on how to mix tequila into the perfect margarita. Afterwards, you will travel by van to the culturally diverse city of Tapachula. Its history and heritage has been influenced not only by the Mayans, Mestizo and Spanish but by German, Chinese, Japanese and French immigrants as well. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the town square where you’ll find a historic church, the city hall building as well as vendors and small stores. During this unforgettable excursion you’ll learn about dolphins at the Interactive Learning Center. Once you arrive to Atlantis, watch an informative video and listen to a marine mammal specialist. Race alongside dolphins, cruise along the surface, or dive to the depths of the saltwater lagoon on your hand-held scooter, while you control your own speed! Explore this wide-open dolphin playground and enjoy Dolphin Cay’s signature ‘foot push,’ where dolphins propel you across the lagoon on a boogie board for a rush unlike any you’ve experienced. You’ll be provided with a snorkel and mask. You’ll also receive an Atlantis map, which will allow you to take a self-guided tour at your leisure of the Ruins Lagoon, a recreation of the sunken streets of mythical Atlantis and the Dig, a replica of an archaeological excavation site. Enjoy complimentary soft drinks while sunbathing at Dolphin’s Cay private beach. Note: Participants must be at least 10 years of age and a minimum height of 3 feet. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women. Wear comfortable shoes as there is a considerable amount of walking once at the resort. Guests must be able to swim in deep water without support vests or assistance. Wetsuits, personal lockers, beach towels and soft drinks are provided. Wetsuits are mandatory. This tour has access to Dolphin Cay private beach to sunbathe and watch the dolphins only; however swimming is not available. This tour is non-refundable. Dolphin Observer tickets are sold onboard only. The transportation for this tour is by bus, approximately 25-minutes each way depending on traffic conditions. Guests participating on an Atlantis Shore Excursion must arrive at the place and time stated on the Shore Excursion ticket. Atlantis tour tickets will not be honored at the resort. There is a considerable amount of walking on this tour (approximately 0.4 miles). To ensure availability, dolphin excursions must be booked no later than 24 hours prior to the port call.
