This combination excursion gives you the opportunity to ride a historical train that has been in service for more than 50 years and participate on a scenic ride through rural countryside and tropical fields. Afterwards, board your motorcoach en route to the Tarcoles River where you’ll go on a boat and explore the spectacular natural scenery this river has to offer. The river and mangroves attract many types of bird wildlife such as toucans, spoonbills, herons, egrets, jacanas, pelicans, scarlet macaws, iguanas and crocodiles. Upon your return enjoy some live marimba melodies and enjoy a delicious buffet of seasonal fruits and tropical refreshments. Enough time will be provided to select crafts made by local artisans before returning to your ship. Note: This excursion might operate in reverse order. Please wear casual clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and bring a camera and raingear. Wildlife sightings while common cannot be guaranteed. Advance notice is needed for guests in wheelchairs; motorized scooters cannot be handled, only foldable wheelchairs. The type of walking required is along even roads and compact gravel trails. A free bird guide will be provided at the beginning of the river cruise, which will allow participants to identify any feathered creatures seen along the way. less

Board the Rising Son II for Bermuda’s ultimate sailing experience. Lounge in the roomy shaded cockpit, or lie out on one of the huge trampolines. Sip complimentary beverages as you cruise by the old remains of Bermuda fortifications. Chat with the crew about Bermuda's past and present as you cruise toward beautiful and secluded swim sites. These sites are hidden among a chain of islands in Mangrove Bay, one of Bermuda's most remote coastal regions. The catamaran will anchor in six feet of water, where you may choose to swim up to the nearby beach, kayak or kick around with the crew's snorkel gear. After 1 1/2 hours of playtime, you’ll be welcomed back aboard for unlimited complimentary Rum Swizzles. Let the island music get you into the vacation spirit as you head out for another hour of true catamaran sailing. Note: Participants must weigh no more than 300 lbs., be good swimmers, and in good health. Bring sunscreen, a towel and a hat. This tour is not recommended for infants. Guests should be able to walk short distances without assistance. The location for swimming may vary depending on weather conditions. A full cash bar is available. Gear is included. less

Your relaxing fun-filled day begins with a short scenic ride to a quaint marina where you’ll board the catamaran. At the marina dock, your friendly crew will greet you and acquaint you with the vessel. Glide along the eastern end of the island before setting sail to the most pristine of the U.S. Virgin Islands. The brisk sail across Pillsbury Sound brings the catamaran to its special mooring destination where you can swim on a beautiful St. John beach, snorkel, or simply relax under the palms. Enjoy freshly baked breads, cheeses, fruits, and a variety of beverages onboard. Champagne and other beverages are complimentary after swimming and snorkeling. After your relaxing stay at the beach, delight in the tropical breezes as you make the downwind return sail to St. Thomas. Note: Wear your swimsuit, and bring a towel and sunscreen. Participants must be at least 4 years of age and able to navigate a six-step ladder through a hatchway to access the restroom on board. There are several steps required to enter and exit the water. Guests entering the water must be able to reboard the vessel without assistance. Alternate snorkel site may be used based on weather and sea conditions. Snorkeling equipment including snorkel vest, professional instruction, and supervision are provided. Alcoholic beverages are served after snorkeling. Participants must be at least 21 years old to consume alcohol. Maximum weight per guest is 300 lbs. less

Discover the real Barbados above and below, really! Board these specially designed 4x4 vehicles for a scenic drive as your driver guide takes you to some of the more beautiful places around the island and entertains you with his great sense of humor and knowledge of the island. Your first stop is Harrison Cave's dub as one of the ten wonders of the world. Then prepare for an exciting one mile journey onboard an electric Tram through underground caverns of stalactites, stalagmites and fast flowing streams. After, re-board your 4x4 vehicle where you will then venture off-road through Joe's River Forest and its towering trees as we descend onto the East Coast in Bathsheba for refreshments and breathtaking scenery of the unusual rock formations created by the pounding Atlantic Surf. The experience continues cross country some 1000 feet above sea level before you descend on the west coast home to the rich and world famous, Sandy Lane Hotel, before you return to the port. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age. Maximum weight allowed is 275 lbs. Some walking and standing is required. Order of tour may change due to prevailing conditions at the time. Prior to boarding the tram at the caves, there is a walk of about 150 feet. Access a glass fronted elevator (3 stories) or walk along a cliff sided boardwalk with steps and inclines to the valley floor where trams are located. At the Cave Interpretative Centre, a short video will be shown prior boarding the trams. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age. Maximum weight allowed is 275 lbs. Travel off-road on ATV 'quads' en route to discover the interior of the Samana Peninsula. At the tender pier, you’ll board your transportation and be transferred to Ranch Gina where you’ll receive a safety briefing and instructions on the operation of your ATV. Then, you're off, caravan style to discover the back-roads and areas of interest while your tour guide provides narration. Your first visit will be to a typical Dominican rural house and learn about the culture and way of life of the Dominican people. Continue to La Cascada Lulu for a photo stop. Your final stop will be a visit to El Valle Beach, a white-sand beach fringed with palm trees. Note: Participants must be at least 18 years of age, weigh no more than 250 lbs, in good health and provide a valid driver's license. All participants are required to sign a waiver. You’ll journey to the ancient place of Mayan pilgrimage known today as Chacchoben also known as The Place of Red Corn. At the pier, you’ll be greeted by a bilingual guide who will direct you to an air-conditioned bus. Onboard the bus your guide will brief you on the interesting history and unique culture of the tour ahead. Upon arrival at Chacchoben you’ll be surrounded by jungle. Your guide will escort you through the ruins, giving you complete explanations of the sacred temples and other structures seen there. See original red paint on the stucco walls of one of the pyramids and the temple where a mural was found showing the astronomical positions of the planet Venus. You’ll have time to climb the Gran Basamento taking you above tree level. Here archaeologists found ceremonial offerings dating to around 1000 B.C. Your guide will also explain about the wildlife and medicinal plants that are used by the modern-day descendants of the ancient Mayan people. Note: Tour includes complimentary beverages. There is a government tax of $5-8 US for the use of video cameras at the site. No tripods and/or professional video cameras are allowed. We recommend that you bring insect repellent. less

Experience Mexico’s past and present as you explore the ancient Mayan archaeological site of Izapa. Examine artifacts in the Regional Museum and then wander Tapachula’s town square on a sightseeing adventure that will both educate and delight you. Take an approximate 45 minute ride to the ancient ruins of Izapa. From it’s beginnings as a small village around 1500 B.C, Izapa grew into the region’s most influential cultural and commercial center. From here, you’ll travel by bus to the culturally diverse city of Tapachula whose history and heritage has been influenced not only by the Mayans, Mestizo and Spanish but by German, Chinese, Japanese and French immigrants as well. Visit the Archaeological Museum where you’ll be able to inspect Mayan artifacts found in the region. Then, your tour guide will introduce you to some the city’s highlights on a short walking tour around the town square. You’ll have free time for shopping in local artisan shops for leather goods, ceramics and more. You can also explore cafes and colorful streets before returning by bus to your ship. Note: Guests should wear a hat and comfortable shoes. Bring eco-friendly sunscreen and bug repellent. Most areas are not wheelchair accessible. less
