This unforgettable and exciting excursion will have you travelling along the coastline on Sir Francis Drakes Highway to the famous Pussers Landing where you can browse in the quaint boutiques. After your 30 minutes stop, drive to Capoons Bay, Apple Bay and Carrot Bay then you will ascend about 900 feet above sea level between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy the stunning views and the different shades of the ocean that operate harmoniously with the clouds. This relaxing drive stops at Nature's Way where you can get the best made ice cold fruit smoothie. This complimentary beverage is just for you and you can sip it as you travel to Long Bay beach at Beef Island. Take your photos and a plunge in the warm crystal clear water. A stop at the Maritime Museum is a must as you view a display of photographs and artifacts recovered from the 1867 wreck of the Royal Mail Steamer" Rhone" . Note: Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel. The majority of the transportation used are open-air safari type vehicles. Tortola is a very beautiful island, however there will be many curved roads and going up and down hills. less

Take a journey for approximately 45 minutes to the ancient ruins of Izapa. From it’s beginnings as a small village, Izapa grew into the region’s most influential cultural and commercial center with a population of possibly up to 10,000 people. Izapa brought together many of Mesoamerica’s ancient cultures and many believe it may be the site of origin of the sacred Mayan Calendar; although, much study remains to be done in order to unlock these secrets. Next, travel by bus to Chocolate Discovery, where you’ll be able to see how the cocoa beans are transformed into chocolate right at the main square. Also, you’ll see and sample the local cuisine, as well as see a variety of local handcrafts and exotic flowers of the region. Local dances and marimba players will be sharing their skills with lively performances. After a stop at the local historic church, you will be on your way back to your ship. Note: Guests should wear a hat and comfortable shoes. Bring eco-friendly sunscreen and bug repellent. Most areas are not wheelchair accessible. less

This combination excursion gives you the opportunity to ride a historical train that has been in service for more than 50 years and participate on a scenic ride through rural countryside and tropical fields. Afterwards, board your motorcoach en route to the Tarcoles River where you’ll go on a boat and explore the spectacular natural scenery this river has to offer. The river and mangroves attract many types of bird wildlife such as toucans, spoonbills, herons, egrets, jacanas, pelicans, scarlet macaws, iguanas and crocodiles. Upon your return enjoy some live marimba melodies and enjoy a delicious buffet of seasonal fruits and tropical refreshments. Enough time will be provided to select crafts made by local artisans before returning to your ship. Note: This excursion might operate in reverse order. Please wear casual clothing, comfortable walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and bring a camera and raingear. Wildlife sightings while common cannot be guaranteed. Advance notice is needed for guests in wheelchairs; motorized scooters cannot be handled, only foldable wheelchairs. The type of walking required is along even roads and compact gravel trails. A free bird guide will be provided at the beginning of the river cruise, which will allow participants to identify any feathered creatures seen along the way. less

Board the Rising Son II for Bermuda’s ultimate sailing experience. Lounge in the roomy shaded cockpit, or lie out on one of the huge trampolines. Sip complimentary beverages as you cruise by the old remains of Bermuda fortifications. Chat with the crew about Bermuda's past and present as you cruise toward beautiful and secluded swim sites. These sites are hidden among a chain of islands in Mangrove Bay, one of Bermuda's most remote coastal regions. The catamaran will anchor in six feet of water, where you may choose to swim up to the nearby beach, kayak or kick around with the crew's snorkel gear. After 1 1/2 hours of playtime, you’ll be welcomed back aboard for unlimited complimentary Rum Swizzles. Let the island music get you into the vacation spirit as you head out for another hour of true catamaran sailing. Note: Participants must weigh no more than 300 lbs., be good swimmers, and in good health. Bring sunscreen, a towel and a hat. This tour is not recommended for infants. Explore the beauty and diversity of the Virgin Islands' marine environment above and below the sea with lots of opportunities for interaction with fascinating marine animals, birds and reptiles. You will be able to watch behaviors hard to see in the wild. Marvel at the grace of our sea turtles, sharks and stingrays. Visit the Lorikeet aviary where you can feed nectar to these playful and colorful birds. You should have an opportunity to catch at least one of the narrated feedings. Then depart for the Butterfly Garden, a lush tropical oasis where hundreds of butterflies from around the world fly free. Experience Mexico’s past and present as you explore the ancient Mayan archaeological site of Izapa. Examine artifacts in the Regional Museum and then wander Tapachula’s town square on a sightseeing adventure that will both educate and delight you. Take an approximate 45 minute ride to the ancient ruins of Izapa. From it’s beginnings as a small village around 1500 B.C, Izapa grew into the region’s most influential cultural and commercial center. From here, you’ll travel by bus to the culturally diverse city of Tapachula whose history and heritage has been influenced not only by the Mayans, Mestizo and Spanish but by German, Chinese, Japanese and French immigrants as well. Visit the Archaeological Museum where you’ll be able to inspect Mayan artifacts found in the region. Then, your tour guide will introduce you to some the city’s highlights on a short walking tour around the town square. You’ll have free time for shopping in local artisan shops for leather goods, ceramics and more. You can also explore cafes and colorful streets before returning by bus to your ship. Indulge in the sights and sounds that are distinctly the Samana Peninsula. Enjoy expert narration from your friendly guide as he or she points out areas of interest en route to your first stop, La Churcha. Here you'll have an outside panoramic view and time to take photos. This interesting church, circa 1860, was brought from England and reassembled piece by piece in Samana. Your next stop will be the small Whale Exhibit where you'll discover a few of the mysteries of the humpback whales. These magnificent creatures have made an annual pilgrimage to the waters off the Samana Peninsula for many centuries. Reboard your transport for the ride to the Taino Park where you'll experience a recreated history of the lifestyles of the pre-Columbian inhabitants of the island of Hispaniola, the Taino people. The tour will take you through different recreated scenes of the daily life of the Tainos by way of the reconstruction of their villages and life size figures, and up to their eventual encounter with the Spanish conquistadores. At the end of the tour you;ll have free time to browse the park gift shops and stores. Your tour will next take you to Puerto Bahia Marina where you can enjoy the views and impressive sights of its oceanfront marina with restaurants and bars. You may take time to enjoy a drink at the world renowned Cafe del Mar while enjoying the beautiful waterfront of Samana Bay. As you walk through the cobblestone streets of Old San Juan you will taste coffee in unique forms and products from three of the most popular coffee shops this historical city provides. Learn about the coffee haciendas out in our mountains and visit venues like the Conservation of Trust of PR. Sip “cortadito”, triple layered caramel coffee and affogato…yummy! Meet your Barista and let him design you an “El Morro Garita or Sentry box art latte”. Be introduced to your pastry chef, providing you with a hand on cuisine experience and the secrets of the mouthwatering Mallorca. Take a journey into the heart of rural Chiapas for a deeper understanding of the local people and landscapes. Discover the culture that blends ancient traditions with modern necessity. Board your air-conditioned bus and travel through the Chiapas countryside to the Ejido Miguel Aleman banana farm. Your guide will acquaint you with the history of the region, its people and traditions, as well as the growing and collection process of the bananas. Then, travel into the town that owns and runs the banana co-op and visit the local community center or school; here, you’ll meet and mingle with the local children and the dedicated teachers and social workers. You’ll be able to donate a kit pack to one of the kids at the community center or local school. The kit pack contains some of their basic day to day needs. Continue to the Banana Packing Plant, where you’ll discover how the whole community works together to pack the bananas they all produce. On the way back, you will get a last glimpse of life in rural Chiapas before returning to the pier. Note: Guests should wear a hat and comfortable shoes. Upon arrival, your host will give you a quick orientation of the areas and facilities available to you. This tour includes an open national bar, beach volleyball, beach chairs, animated beach party, beach games for children, kayaks. A beautiful restaurant, a souvenir store and additional water sports are available at extra cost, plus there’s great snorkeling straight off the beach. This is a one stop beach destination. Your day of discovery begins when you board you air conditioned transportation. You’ll pass by buildings and homes featuring Colonial, Republican and Moorish styles and your guide explains the many influences that came to be in Cartagena. Your first stop will be 'Punta Icacos', near the fishing village of La Boquilla. Here, you’ll be greeted by local fishermen who earn a living by traditional means of fishing. These fishermen will explain the process of making, repairing and casting the nets, as well as provide a demonstration. You’ll even have the opportunity to learn the art of throwing the net if you wish or you can also sip on fresh coconut milk or coconut water while you watch your companions cast the net. On your way back to Cartagena your guide will provide you with more information regarding Columbian history including the "Vallenato". The Vallenato is a traditional type of music typically using an accordion, flute and drum. Next, stop at Rancho Grande where you’ll be greeted and entertained by your own band of Vallenato. Sample a traditional Columbian snack or "frito" if you whish before making your way to the Emerald Museum. Here, you’ll see craftsmen at work as well as learn the history and cultural importance of the precious stone. Then, visit the famous walled or Old City and Portal de Dulce, an area where local vendors sell the handmade Columbian candies, famous around the world. Take a sweet sample before continuing your walk through the Plaza de la Aduana and Simon Bolivar Square. Along the way your guide will point out areas of interest as well as information on the many churches, building and monuments before you begin your free time in the colonial city. Feel free to stroll along the beautiful streets, browse the many shops and admire the beautiful architecture and flower covered balconies before returning to your ship. Note: Bring comfortable shoes and casual clothes. Wear sunscreen. Participants must be able to stand and walk unassisted as well as easily navigate narrow pathways. Your sightseeing drive through rolling hills, high mountains, plains, valleys, and riverbeds is just part of the gorgeous landscape that make you think of paradise. Costa Rica’s topography is one of the world’s most diverse. You’ll start by heading east to Esparza, a town that has become one of the most picturesque in the Costa Rica’s Central Pacific region. The central park and its church are emblematic of Costa Rica’s hardworking rural towns. Local dancers will greet you at the park with colorful dresses and you’ll enjoy the masquerades and hand-made souvenir exhibitions while you learn about their traditions. Your scenic drive includes some stretches along the Pacific Ocean passing by mango and cashew plantations, farming areas and most certainly seeing some birds along the way, all examples of sustainable living. Take the opportunity to capture unique pictures for back home, while traveling down to sea level, admiring the most breathtaking views.
