Drive through the center of Oslo passing the Akerskus Fortress, new Opera House, Parliament Building, the main street ‘Karl Johan’, Royal Palace, and the Nobel Institute, en route to Vigeland Sculpture Park. This Park was created and completed by one man, Gustav Vigeland. Centrally placed in the park is a 55 foot high monolith featuring 121 stone figures of men, women, and children in their struggle for life. There are more than 150 sculptures, all symbolizing the different stages in the life of mankind. Your guide will explain the different sculptures and monuments.
Continue to the Bygdoy Peninsula for a visit to the Open Air Folk Museum. Among the 150 wooden buildings constituting the museum, is one of Norway’s unique Stave churches, dating back to around the year 1200. Your last stop will be a visit to the Kon Tiki Museum which contains the balsa wood raft used by Thor Heyerdahl on his crossing of the Pacific Ocean in 1947. The museum also contains the reed boat RA II and exhibits brought back from his incredible voyages.

Immerse yourself in the magic of Chiapas’s natural environments as you head off the beaten path to explore beautiful mangrove streams and lagoons. After being greeted by your boat captain, just sit back, relax and enjoy the spectacular views surrounding as you navigate through the waterways. Experience the wildlife, especially the region’s diverse array of birds, that appear along the way. Your guide will share information about the area’s eco-system and point out various species of flora and fauna. You may see pelicans, herons, ospreys, cormorants, hummingbirds, egrets, spoonbills, storks, turtles and much more. This nature reserve also provides a way of life to the local fishermen who use the same methods of catching shrimp and crab. You might have the opportunity to watch them at work as you float towards the end of your exotic journey. Note: Guests should wear a hat and comfortable shoes. The Shetlands, located 112 miles from the most northerly point to the southern tip, is the cross-roads of the northern seas, and unlike anywhere else in Scotland. They roll out in a long vista of moor and wiry pasture, penetrated by great sea inlets. Spectacular vertical stacks coated with seabird colonies, cliffs and coves curtained with wild-flowers; hidden white beaches on an endless coast, small crofts and settlements sheltering by the sea-edge. As you come ashore, you’ll notice the main town of Lerwick, with its narrow Main Street and small shops. Climbing out of Lerwick, the road travels south and you’ll soon be seeing the vistas of hillsides. Turn off the main road to travel through small agricultural areas where sheep farming is important. You’ll see the distinctive black and brown Shetland sheep grazing in pastures enclosed by neat dry-stone walls, the product of local quarries. You’ll also travel across heather-lad hills to Burra Isle and to Scalloway, the former capital of the Shetlands. See Scalloway Castle, a forbidding ruin dominating the town, built by Earl Patrick Stewart in 1600 using forced local labor. Stewart was the notorious despot who tyrannized Orkney and the Shetlands, where he extorted crushing taxes and fines from the people of the Shetlands. His cruelty eventually led to his downfall and, in 1615, he and his son were executed in Edinburgh. Built in Medieval style, the roofless shell, with corner turrets and gables, stands on a narrow promontory by the water. Today, it stands side by side with the commerce of a busy fishing port, a silent sentinel. Your tour route then heads towards the fertile Tingwall Valley. The road passes a collection of farm buildings, and then suddenly there are belts of trees, rising abruptly amongst the barren hills. From the comparatively tranquil landscapes of the Tingwall Valley, you’ll head towards Weisdale Voe where the landscape changes dramatically. Here you'll pay a visit to the small workshops of Shetland jewelers which manufacture a range of silver and gold jewelry featuring Celtic, Viking and local wildlife designs. The showroom also stocks a selection of local crafts. The excursion itinerary then takes to the eastern side of mainland Shetland and returns towards Lerwick. less

Take a walking tour of Oslo to admire its historic buildings, cozy cafes and art galleries. You’ll see the Museum of Contemporary Art, Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, the old Military Hospital, and Christiania’s old concert hall. In the city’s ‘golden center,’ you’ll see monuments and buildings around Karl Johan Street – the Parliament Building, the University, the National Theater, and the Royal Palace. Continue past City Hall Square and the police horse stables before walking into the grounds of the Akershus Fortress. Here, you’ll also find the Norwegian Resistance Museum. Finally, follow a path from the fortress leading directly to the pier.

This tour takes you beyond the hotel zone to secluded coves and isolated beaches for the ultimate snorkel excursion. You can choose to snorkel, power snorkel, stand up paddleboard or kayak. Pass by Land's End arch and the Lover's Beach for an up-close look at this spectacular natural wonder; here, you’ll find some resident sea lions. On this two-tank dive you’ll travel through deep submarine canyons just off San Lucas Bay and marvel at the rich marine environment on this adventure. Diving locations are just off the rocky shore and feature large boulders and pinnacles; the rocky walls attract schools of fish such as snapper and goatfish. The ledges are covered with marine invertebrates, starfish, nudibranchs and urchins. Look out for king and Cortez angelfish, Moorish idols and guinea fowl puffers. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age, weigh less than 280 lbs. and in good physical condition. You’ll be required to complete a medical release form. You must present a valid certification card (C-Card) and must have logged a certified dive within the last year. All equipment, including professional supervision and boat transportation is included. Dive sites are chosen based on weather and sea conditions and are subject to change. less

Explore the amazing world of Huatulco by water and land. Visit the beautiful beach of "La Entrega", where healthy coral plates shelter millions of colorful fish. Once here, don’t miss the "Bat Cave", located a few yards from the beach; snorkel into the cave and discover why it’s called the Lover’s Corner. Relax under a palm umbrella called ‘Palapa’ and enjoy refreshments or a delicious seafood dish at an additional cost. Next, swim the underwater world of Huatulco while tanning under the sun of this Mexican South Pacific beach. On your way back to the pier, you’ll have the chance to fill your eyes with different tones of blue from the sightseeing spots located along the roads and enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the shoreline of Huatulco. You’ll make a stop on the impressive viewpoint of “La Entrega” where you’ll be able to take pictures while admiring your ship and the Bay of Santa Cruz. You’ll be standing waist-deep in the lagoon as you and the sea lion interact while doing various activities designed for maximum fun such as kisses, flipper shakes and even jumping over your head as you swim up to them. Start with a panoramic drive to view of the San Felipe de Barajas Fortress, situated outside the walled city. This monumental fort is considered to be the most outstanding feat of Spanish military engineering in the new world. After a quick drive through the narrow streets of the walled city, you’ll continue along the coastline to La Boquilla fisherman village. Embark on a leisurely canoe ride through the mangrove tunnels across the Swamp of the Virgin. Visit the mangroves at La Cienaga de Juan Polo, where a great diversity of birds such as Kingsfisher, White heron, Common Laura, Pink Spatula and Pelicans live. Relax as you enjoy the beautiful flora and fauna that encompasses this fascinating eco-system. Note: Wear comfortable clothing and shoes and bring sunscreen and a hat. Float down the Copalita River in an eight-person raft and experience its beautiful landscape. Your guide will give instructions and safety briefing, and then you'll enjoy your descent while floating silently downstream for approx 60 minutes. There is much to see for all nature lovers: The natural habitat of the local tropical birds, parrots, egrets, herons, frigate birds, cormorants, sand pipers, king fishers, oriols and wrens; and the variety in tropical flora and fauna - 80% of the vegetation is low jungle caducifoliae (drops leaves once a year)- with some tree species growing up to 18 meters. Approximately 100 species of birds are present in this area, including several endangered, protected and rare species. This is an unforgettable day with overwhelming natural beauty. Note: Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Guests must be in good physical condition. Pregnant women and guests with heart or respiratory conditions or back and neck injuries are not allowed to participate. Not recommended for guests in wheelchairs or who use walking aids such as canes or crutches. Necessary gear such as helmets and life vests will be provided. For the snorkeling enthusiast, this tour combines two of the best areas in the emerald waters of Huatulco. From the pier area it is a 10-minute sail to La Entrega Beach, while a site briefing is given. There you’ll enjoy 45 minutes of snorkeling in the calm, translucent waters of the area and be amazed at the variety of marine life seen on the coral reef. Next is a 20-minute trip to Cacaluta Bay, which some locals call King's Beach because it was the favorite of King Juan Carlos I of Spain on his 1993 visit to Huatulco. Along the way, you’ll pass by the spectacular blowhole and Organo and Maguey Bays. Snorkel another 45 minutes from the boat in the passage between the island and beach, an outstanding pristine place with white coral and rocks. Note: Participants must be at least 16 years of age and in good physical condition. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel and sunscreen. You’ll be required to sign a waiver release form in order to participate. Some light current might be present. Participants should be able to get in and out of the boat by ladder. Depending on weather, water clarity and sea conditions, the above itinerary may vary and/or the stop at Cacaluta could be changed to an alternate site. All dives will be from the boat with no beach snorkeling. There are no showers on the boat. less
