This classic city tour takes in all the highlights of Reykjavik with one stop at the Pearl Vantage Point. You'll leave the harbor towards the Laugardalur or 'warm water valley', passing the city’s main sports and recreation area with its outdoor geothermal swimming pool. From here, you'll head inland and arrive at the City’s municipal conservation area of Heidmork. Reykjavik has easy access to a plentiful, clean and uncontaminated water supply from the cold spring area Gvendarbrunnar. The surrounding lava fields, craters and imposing mountain ranges bear witness to the country’s fiery origins and succeed in providing visitors with a taste of the great outdoors. You'll return to the hustle and bustle of the inner city, driving past the open-air museum at Arbaer where selected old houses are shown and cross the Ellidaar, (Ellida River) one of the world's cleanest Salmon rivers known to flow through a capital city. You'll then make a stop at The Pearl (or Perlan), which, is built on the hot water reservoir tanks that provide Reykjavik with water for the taps and radiators. Here, the panoramic view at the platform is so splendidly clear, it is the perfect photo opportunity. You'll continue past the Hallgrims church, and head for the charming old quarter of Reykjavik with its colorful wooden houses and narrow streets before passing the city lake, Tjornin, with its rich birdlife. Your next stop will be at the harbor area for a photo stop. On the way back, you'll follow the coastline, pass the famous Hofdi house where the summit meeting between President Ronald Reagan and Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev was held in 1986. Experience Mexico’s past and present as you explore the ancient Mayan archaeological site of Izapa. Examine artifacts in the Regional Museum and then wander Tapachula’s town square on a sightseeing adventure that will both educate and delight you. Take an approximate 45 minute ride to the ancient ruins of Izapa. From it’s beginnings as a small village around 1500 B.C, Izapa grew into the region’s most influential cultural and commercial center. From here, you’ll travel by bus to the culturally diverse city of Tapachula whose history and heritage has been influenced not only by the Mayans, Mestizo and Spanish but by German, Chinese, Japanese and French immigrants as well. Visit the Archaeological Museum where you’ll be able to inspect Mayan artifacts found in the region. Then, your tour guide will introduce you to some the city’s highlights on a short walking tour around the town square. You’ll have free time for shopping in local artisan shops for leather goods, ceramics and more. You can also explore cafes and colorful streets before returning by bus to your ship. Board your coach for an approximate 30 minute transfer to Kourouta Beach. This is a public beach area where you’ll have free time (approximately 3.5 hours) to relax under the sun and swim. Sun beds and umbrellas are available for rent at the beach on a first-come, first served-basis. There is a beach taverna nearby for refreshments or a light snack at your own expense. Credit cards and foreign currencies are not accepted. You’ll need Euros for purchases at the beach.

Note: Please remember to wear your swimsuit and take a towel and sunscreen. Please note that this beach is a family beach and nude sunbathing is not permitted. Swimming is at the guest's own risk as there is no life guard on duty. Please note that this is not a shuttle service. If you should miss the scheduled departure from the beach, it will be your responsibility at your own expense to return to your ship. Following a short transfer by tender boat from your ship to the port of Athinios, you'll board the awaiting motorcoach that will transfer you to Perivolos Beach, located on the southern side of the island. On arrival at the beach, you'll have the opportunity to swim in the crystal waters of the Aegean Sea, relax under the always shining Greek sun or even entertain yourself with the variety of watersports (not included) available on the beach by local concessionaires. After a day of relaxation your coach returns you to the capital of the island, Fira where you’ll have free time to stroll through the city and admire the beautiful views of the caldera before taking the cable car down to the port to return by tender to your ship.

Alesund, the largest town on the Northwest coast, has a beautiful setting, built on several islands stretching out into the ocean. You will drive to the Atlantic Ocean Park, a unique aquarium in Norway. Here, the tanks are built to resemble the coastal environments and its largest tank contains 4 million liters of seawater. You can even view the marine life through an acryl panel that is 26,5 cm thick, 18 m long and 4 m high. The Atlantic Ocean Park also features an out-door pool with penguins; here, you can look straight out towards "Breisundet" - the wide sound surrounded by islands and far out the open ocean. You’ll see seals coming regularly to be fed! On the way back we have the opportunity to study some of the fine details of the "art nouveau" architecture before we head up to Mount Aksla. Here we make a stop to take in the spectacular view towards the ocean and the many islands spread out. After a short drive through the streets of Ålesund we are back at the pier. At first sight you’ll see that Barcelona is a city with charming streets, busy with people and full of life. The old town districts are famed for their historical monuments, narrow streets and Bohemian atmosphere, and are a perfect place for a stroll. The city also has the biggest selection of modernist architecture making it a genuine open-air museum. Barcelona is the only European capital with almost three miles of beaches where you can enjoy the most modern amenities. From the pier, head to the Sagrada Familia, passing through the Barceloneta Quarter or Fisherman Area, and Calle Marina. Your guide will offer you an explanation of all the details related to the church. Continue with a panoramic drive along Passeig de Gracia, the best-known boulevard in town. See one of the masterpieces of Gaudi’s architecture: the Casa Mila, best known by Barcelonians as 'La Pedrera' and Casa Batllo. Reaching Diagonal Avenue you enter the upper Eixample Area where the Sagrada Familia church is. After this, continue to the Montjuic Hill, claimed by the city on the occasion of the 1929 International Exposition, when the mountain was developed and trade fair halls and sports installations were constructed as well as the parks and gardens which are to be found all over the mountain. Today it is the most important recreational area in Barcelona. Drive by the Olympic Ring and make a brief stop at the Mirador del Alcalde for a panoramic view of the city. Finally, arrive at the Gothic Quarter for a walking visit. The facade of the cathedral and octagonal dome are Neo-Gothic structures of the 19th century, designed according to a 15th-century drawing. From here, you’ll be dropped off at a Norwegian Cruise Line program hotel, Mont Blanc, Catalunya Square or continue to the airport. Discover the main sites of interest in Helsinki, also known as the 'White City of the North.' Along the way you’ll pass Embassy Park and the Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral with its brilliant gold onion domes. Continue on to Senate Square and see important buildings attributed to the Neo-Classic architect Carl Ludwig Engel, including the famous Lutheran Cathedral. You’ll pass the open-air market on your way to the Olympic Stadium where the 1952 Olympic Games were held. Then it’s on to Sibelius Park where you can photograph a monument honoring the great Finnish composer Jean Sibelius. Pass by the Opera House and then stop to see the Temppeliaukio Rock Church, a unique house of worship blasted into solid rock and topped by a copper dome. Finally it’s on to Mannerheim Street, Helsinki’s main thoroughfare, and other important landmarks. At the end of the tour, you can get off in the downtown area to explore the city on your own or return by your bus to the cruise pier. Should you decide to remain in the city, you’ll be responsible for your own return to the cruise pier. This option is only available for morning departures. Note: Order of sights might vary. We cannot guarantee entry if services are being held. After departing the port, drive along the Paseo Maritimo with hotels on one side and luxurious yachts on the other. You’ll pass the cathedral and the Almudaina Palace, along the way to the center of Palma through Avenida Argentina and Avenida Jaime III with its exclusive shops, and Via Roma, known as Flower Street. On the way to Valldemossa, see impressive landscapes of pine forest and groves of almond and olive trees. Valldemossa is one of the most beautiful villages of the island with a magnificent view over the valley and the capital of Palma on the horizon. A stop for a soft drink will be made in Valldemossa. Returning to Palma, you’ll drive up to the Bellver Castle, and have a beautiful view overlooking the Paseo Maritimo and the town. Then, traveling through the city, you’ll reach the Plaza de Toros (bull fighting ring) where you’ll have free time to take some photos or to go into one of the famous pearl factories where the famous Majorca Pearls are manufactured. Here you can see how expert artisans create the man-made pearls and you’ll have an opportunity to purchase some to take home. Note: Bellver Castle is not visited on this tour. less

Depart the pier and take a short walk across to the train station to board your exclusively chartered standard train for an approximate 3 to 3 1/2 hour journey from Warnemunde to Berlin. While relaxing and watching the German countryside pass by, you’ll be served a light breakfast snack. Upon arrival at one of Berlin’s train stations, your local Berlin tour guide will welcome and assist you to board your coach. Your sightseeing tour begins with an overview of some of the major highlights of Berlin. You’ll pass by remnants of the Berlin Wall, Alexanderplatz Square, Checkpoint Charlie, the Red City Hall, Unter den Linden Boulevard, Gendarmenmarkt Square, Potsdam Square, the Victory Column, Bellevue Palace, Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag government building and Bebelplatz with the Empty Library memorial. After passing these world-famous landmarks and attractions, you’ll have the opportunity to spend approximately 3 hours on your own to visit a museum, do some shopping or return to some of the sights for closer inspection. After your time at leisure, you’ll meet your escort at a central point and return by coach to the train station, where you board your private train for the return journey to Warnemunde. A drive to the southern part of the Lanzarote will take you past the picturesque villages of Macher and Uga and cross black lava streams before arriving at the southwest coast of the island, passing by Los Hervideros where the sea water seems to boil in a volcanic cave. After a brief photo stop and a short drive, you’ll reach the Timanfaya National Park, a natural museum of unique beauty. Bizarre craters, streams of lava, and fields of ashes are mixed here with a nearly unrealistic lunar landscape, all formed during the last eruption in the 18th century. Upon arrival to Islote de Hilario, a crater with the highest surface temperatures in the region, you’ll experience still-existing activity not far underground as you gather around for the fun demonstrations. The geothermal energy is so strong that water gushes up and dry weed catches fire within seconds. At the restaurant El Diablo, located at the top of the hill, food is cooked on a natural grill powered by the heat within the earth below. Board a coach to embark on a tour of the Fire Mountains called "Lunar Route" which goes deep inside the heart of the National Park and lasts approximately 45 minutes. Through a recorded narration, you’ll learn about the history of the volcanic eruptions and see how slowly life conquers the inhospitable landscape with very few endemic plants. From here you’ll drive to the wine-growing area of La Geria where the locals have modified grape-growing through the centuries in order to preserve the vines from the harsh natural elements and provide a special cultivation for the grapes that produce the famous Malvasia wine. These vines are grown inside dimple-like craters and surrounded by volcanic stone semi-circles (called Zocos), built for each individual vine to provide much needed protection from the fierce winds. After this photo stop you’ll return to your ship. Note: Because Fire Mountains is the most visited attraction, to avoid delays at the entrance, tour order may vary but all mentioned sites will be covered. Your city drive takes you through the main squares and sites of Messina. Stop at Cristo Re Church’s viewpoint. Continue your sightseeing along the north coast, with views of Ganzirri Lakes, Messina Strait and Capo Peloro. Before returning to your ship, you’ll stop at Cathedral Square with its astronomical clock tower, and have a chance to visit the cathedral and the treasure rooms; where among other historical and artistic works can be seen such as the golden “Manta” of the Madonna of the letter. This tour introduces you to the wonderful delights of Nice by combining a relaxing ride onboard a ‘tourist train’ with a stroll in the old town, Nice, the undisputed ‘Queen and Capital’ of the French Riviera. Take a panoramic tour of Cartagena. Begin with a photo stop of San Felipe de Barajas Fortress, originally built in the 17th century and considered the largest Spanish fort in the New World. Snap pictures of the ancient towering walls and main entrance. Today, the Palma Aquarium provides a fun and exciting journey of discovery down the ages. Your tour drives past the Paseo Maritimo with numerous hotels on one side and luxury yachts on the other. Your guide will point out the many highlights of this beautiful city. Palma Aquarium is a spectacular marine park that faithfully recreates sea and oceanic habitats and ecosystems. The park provides visitors with a unique and unforgettable experience: interaction, surprises and endless educational elements. The 55 aquariums contain an exceptional range of flora and fauna from the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian, Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Here you’ll find 8,000 specimens from 700 different species in approximately 1.32 million gallons (5 million liters) of seawater. Your guide will take you through some of the areas, and allow you free time to wander on your own (your guide will wait in a common area until departure time). If you want to spend some time at the beach, you’ll find one approximately 985 feet (300 meters) in front of the Palma Aquarium. You set your pace and itinerary, just tell us where you want to go! Note: Entrance, parking fees and meals are not included, in order to allow you complete freedom of choice.
