Enjoy a picturesque winding road, a city perched high above the Bay of Naples and a city full of highlights. Start with a panoramic drive from Naples along the winding coast taking you to the quaint city of Sorrento. Upon arrival in Sorrento, your guide will introduce you to this lovely city and give you free time for getting to know the city better, for shopping or just to do as you please. You’ll then meet your guide at the designated place and time for the return drive with more beautiful views of the coast to Naples for lunch. Dine at a typical Neapolitan pizzeria where you'll experience the "original pizza" in the city that boasts the world's first pizzeria back in 1830. Sit back and enjoy a classic Margherita pizza accompanied by a mixed green salad and beverage. After lunch take a sightseeing loop around the city of Naples for a quick orientation, driving past the round-towered Castel Nuovo, San Carlo Opera House, Umberto Gallery, the Royal Palace and San Francesco di Paola Church. Capture a panoramic view of the city and the Bay of Naples from the vantage point of Posillipo Hill before returning to your ship. Note: The tour is only available for Norwegian Jade winter sailings and Norwegian Epic summer sailings. Guests must be able to walk approximately 500 yards over even surfaces with 5 - 10 steps. We recommend that you wear comfortable walking shoes, dress in layers and bring bottled water. Walking during the free time is at the guests' discretion. The drive between Naples and Sorrento is approximately 1 ½ hours each way. Due to traffic restrictions of the Sorrento center a short walk from the motorcoach drop off point to the main center and vice versa will be required. less

Travel through the city districts of Sodermalm, Gamla Stan, Norrmalm, Ostermalm, and Djurgarden. Pass the Royal Palace, which overlooks Stockholm’s inner harbor. Fjallgatan with its magnificent view of the city is a must, as well as the enchanting medieval Old Town, “Gamla Stan” with the Royal Palace. From the historic Island of Riddarholmen, adjacent to the Old Town, you have a stunning view over the lake Malaren and the City Hall. Proceed past the Royal Dramatic Theatre along Strandvagen to the island of Djurgarden. This is full of Stockholm’s amusement and recreation centers, also great parklands, beautiful gardens, cafés and restaurants. Here, you’ll also find the Grona Lund Tivoli, the Skansen Open Air Museum and the well known Vasa Museum, housing the 17th century warship Vasa. On the island of Kungsholmen, you’ll pass the impressive City Hall, renowned for its architecture, and site of the annual Nobel Prize. Proceed south via the Western Bridge to Sodermalm before returning to your ship. Note: If traveling in a wheelchair, please call 1.866.625.1167 for assistance with these reservations. These spaces are capacity controlled. You will not be able to book this option online. There will be no inside visits conducted on this tour; there will be photo stops only. Take a scenic drive to the tropical forest area of Bijagual, which is located near the boundaries of the Carara Biological Reserve. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Pura Vida Botanical Gardens, one of the most spectacular private gardens in Costa Rica. See beautifully manicured gardens noticing that they are also bordered by one of the tallest waterfalls in the country. Pura Vida is home to over 60,000 flowering plants, including 60 varieties of heliconia, 10 varieties of ginger, and orchids. Look for butterflies, macaws, parrots, parakeets, toucans, kingfishers, birds of prey, and waterfowl. During the 1 1/2 hour guided walk along gravel trails, your guide will help you explore this incredible wonderland. Take in the ocean views in the distance as you meander through the walkways and see some wildlife. After the walk concludes, continue on for a few minutes to Villa Lapas Ecological Hotel, where fresh tropical fruits will replenish your energy. Then browse the gift shop for souvenirs before heading back to your ship. Weather permitting, a quick stop will also made at the Tarcoles River for crocodile observation. Note: Participants must be in good health. Those with severe walking or mobility issues should not participate, as there is required walking on gravel terrain with some inclines.
