Your day begins with a scenic drive to Palmares County. Along the way, a knowledgeable guide will provide you with fascinating information regarding Costa Rica's culture and history and give you the chance to ask questions. Once in Palmares, you’ll see Costa Rica’s most fascinating churches, and will have the opportunity to visit them and learn of their uniqueness. Your next stop will be Doka Estate, located at an altitude of 4,500 feet above sea level. This beautiful estate and coffee plantation was declared a historical and architectural heritage site by the Costa Rican Government. Your guide will relay the magic of coffee from seed to cup. Enjoy a typical buffet at La Cajuela restaurant surrounded by beautiful gardens with mountain views. You’ll have free time to visit souvenir shops and take home some special coffee products. Your last stop will be La Garita, a magnificent botanical garden featuring a learning greenhouse, flower showroom and a bird area of scarlet macaws, blue and gold macaws and cockatoos. Note: Wear comfortable shoes, long pants and a light jacket; bring sunscreen and sunglasses. less

First, visit Alesund’s attractive setting, built on three islands with the spectacular Sunnmore Alps in the background. Pass by Borgundfjord, with charming suburbs and well-kept gardens. Head over to the municipality of Stordal, famous for its furniture factories, a very important export article in this region. Reach to the fertile valley of Valldal, where strawberry cultivation is very common; ascend up the valley to Trollstigen, reaching 850 meters above sea level. Start the descent down the Trolls' Path with its daring hairpin bends. Down in the valley make a photo stop to take in the lovely waterfall called Stigfossen waterfall cascading down the mountainside.
Next, detour up to Trollveggen; here, you’ll find the Troll Wall with the highest perpendicular rock face in Europe. Climbers from all parts of the world come visit this 1,000-meter tall wall to try out the various routes to the top. Then, pass by Romsdalsfjord with its many small villages known for its ship and boat building. Before returning to your ship, cross over the Orskog mountain plateau, a popular skiing area for the people in Alesund.

This classic Reykjavik excursion encompasses the ‘Big Three’ – Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir, and more. The ‘Big Three’ are collectively known as the Golden Circle and provide a look at some of the scenic wonders for which Iceland is justly renowned. You’ll begin your day venturing into the beautiful Thingvellir national park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site only about 30 miles from Reykjavik, and ranking at the top of Iceland’s attractions. This national park has outstanding sceneries with an area surrounded by mountains and encompassing a vast lava plain of green moss and wild flowers. Continue to Geyser area where you’ll see hissing springs and other geothermal phenomena. Lunch will be served in this area amongst these scenic surroundings. Next, drive to the Gullfoss waterfall. The ‘Golden Waterfall’ is the most famous of the country’s many waterfalls. Here, the river Hvita drops 96 feet in two falls, creating an awesome spectacle. Then, visit waterfall Faxi with its salmon ladder and adjoining traditional sheep round up pen; also, the town of Hveragerdi to see an earthquake exhibition. Being located on an old magma chamber, Hveragerdi is notorious not only for its abundance of hot springs, which heat the community’s greenhouse industry, but also for its earthquakes. Lastly, appreciate a scenic drive of the city on your way back to your ship. Note: The itinerary might be reversed, if necessary. Most of the sights of this tour can be seen from the coach. less

Enjoy a picturesque winding road, a city perched high above the Bay of Naples and a city full of highlights. Start with a panoramic drive from Naples along the winding coast taking you to the quaint city of Sorrento. Upon arrival in Sorrento, your guide will introduce you to this lovely city and give you free time for getting to know the city better, for shopping or just to do as you please. You’ll then meet your guide at the designated place and time for the return drive with more beautiful views of the coast to Naples for lunch. Dine at a typical Neapolitan pizzeria where you'll experience the "original pizza" in the city that boasts the world's first pizzeria back in 1830. Sit back and enjoy a classic Margherita pizza accompanied by a mixed green salad and beverage. After lunch take a sightseeing loop around the city of Naples for a quick orientation, driving past the round-towered Castel Nuovo, San Carlo Opera House, Umberto Gallery, the Royal Palace and San Francesco di Paola Church. Capture a panoramic view of the city and the Bay of Naples from the vantage point of Posillipo Hill before returning to your ship.
