You'll begin this tour by visiting Ålesund’s attractive setting, built on three islands with the spectacular Sunnmøre Alps in the background. Pass by Borgundfjord, with charming suburbs and well-kept gardens. Head over to the municipality of Stordal, famous for its furniture factories, a very important export item in this region. Reach the fertile valley of Valldal, where strawberry cultivation is very common; ascend the valley to Trollstigen, reaching 850 meters above sea level. Start the descent down the Trolls' Path’ with its daring hairpin bends. Down in the valley, make a photo stop to take in the lovely waterfall called Stigfossen Waterfall cascading down the mountainside. Next, detour up to Trollveggen; here, you’ll find the Troll Wall with the highest perpendicular rock face in Europe. Alpinists from all parts of the world come visit this 1000 meter tall wall to try out the various routes to the top. Then, pass by Romsdalsfjord with its many small villages known for woodcarving and rose painting as well as ship- and boat- building. Before returning to your ship, cross over the Ørskog mountain plateau, a popular skiing area for the people in Ålesund. Note: Complimentary lunch will be provided. Depart the pier and take a short walk across to the train station to board your exclusively chartered standard train for an approximate 3 to 3 1/2 hour journey from Warnemunde to Berlin. While relaxing and watching the German countryside pass by, you’ll be served a light breakfast snack. Upon arrival at one of Berlin’s train stations, your escort will accompany you on a short coach transfer to a central drop off point in Berlin from where you’ll explore Berlin on your own. Return to a central train station in the early evening as your escort has instructed you, for your return train journey back to Warnemunde. Note: Upon arrival at Berlin station, you’ll receive a short coach transfer from the station to a central drop point. You spend time on your own in Berlin and also return to the departure station on your own. The tour price does not include any entrance fees, lunch or guiding services. It will be your responsibility to be at the return train station at the instructed departure time. This classic Reykjavik excursion encompasses the ‘Big Three’ – Gullfoss, Geysir and Thingvellir, and more. The ‘Big Three’ are collectively known as the Golden Circle and provide a look at some of the scenic wonders for which Iceland is justly renowned. You’ll begin your day venturing into the beautiful Thingvellir national park - a UNESCO World Heritage Site only about 30 miles from Reykjavik, and ranking at the top of Iceland’s attractions. This national park has outstanding sceneries with an area surrounded by mountains and encompassing a vast lava plain of green moss and wild flowers. Continue to Geyser area where you’ll see hissing springs and other geothermal phenomena. Lunch will be served in this area amongst these scenic surroundings. Next, drive to the Gullfoss waterfall. The ‘Golden Waterfall’ is the most famous of the country’s many waterfalls. Here, the river Hvita drops 96 feet in two falls, creating an awesome spectacle. Then, visit waterfall Faxi with its salmon ladder and adjoining traditional sheep round up pen; also, the town of Hveragerdi to see an earthquake exhibition. Being located on an old magma chamber, Hveragerdi is notorious not only for its abundance of hot springs, which heat the community’s greenhouse industry, but also for its earthquakes. Lastly, appreciate a scenic drive of the city on your way back to your ship. Note: The itinerary might be reversed, if necessary. Most of the sights of this tour can be seen from the coach. less

Then, you’ll be dropped off at a central location where you’ll have approximately three hours of free time. Your escort will advise you of the pick-up time for your return back to Civitavecchia. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a connection with these truly remarkable creatures. You’ll have an opportunity to talk, touch, play and swim with gentle and exquisite bottlenose dolphins. Your swim experience begins with a brief presentation on dolphin characteristics, how to use hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with your dolphin and various safety guidelines. Next, your group of no more than eight participants will head to the Dolphin Lagoon where you’ll wade into the shallow, clear waters to begin your exclusive dolphin experience. You'll meet and play with a dolphin for 30 minutes, getting to know each other through hugs, kisses, rubdowns and ultimately, an exciting belly ride. The duration of the program is approximately 60 minutes, including orientation. After your dolphin swim, enjoy complimentary lunch at the dolphin marina and some free time to purchase memories of your experience with the dolphins. Depart the pier to La Popa Monastery, located on top of a hill overlooking Cartagena. This monastery was built at the beginning of the 17th century and houses a Colonial museum and a chapel dedicated to Virgen de la Candelaria, patron saint of Cartagena. Next, make a photo stop at San Felipe Fortress. This castle defended the city from many attacks and withstood the bloodiest assault from the British Admiral Vernon. Then, proceed to the Old City where you’ll walk approximately five blocks in the Colonial part of the city. Once at Bolivar Plaza, you’ll find Saint Peter Claver Church, the cathedral and the Inquisition Palace. After your walk, drive through the modern part of the city to a rest stop at the Pierino Gallo Plaza, for refreshments and some shopping. Afterwards, you’ll visit Pastelillo Fort, constructed in the mid 1700's. This is home to one of the most exclusive restaurants in town, Club de Pesca. You’ll visit Pisa first, to avoid the heavy traffic backup entering Florence in the morning. Arriving in Pisa, your escort will walk you to the famous Miracle Square to enjoy some free time to take pictures of the Leaning Tower. Continue to Florence, where in the early afternoon, you’ll be dropped off at a central location in Florence and have approximately 3 1/2 hours to shop and explore the city at your leisure. A safety briefing will be provided before your sweat bath. After your Temazcal experience, you’ll be applied a clay facial mask, which you will rinse off short after.
