At first sight you’ll see that Barcelona is a city with charming streets, busy with people and full of life. The old town districts are famed for their historical monuments, narrow streets and Bohemian atmosphere, and are a perfect place for a stroll. The city also has the biggest selection of modernist architecture, making it a genuine open-air museum. Barcelona is the only European capital with almost three miles of beaches where you can enjoy the most modern amenities. From the pier, head to the Sagrada Familia, passing through the Barceloneta Quarter or Fisherman Area, and Calle Marina. Your guide will offer you an explanation of all the details related to the church. Continue with a panoramic drive along Passeig de Gracia, the best-known boulevard in town. See one of the masterpieces of Gaudi’s architecture: the Casa Mila, best known by Barcelonians as ‘La Pedrera’ and Casa Batllo. Reaching Diagonal Avenue, enter the upper Eixample Area where the Sagrada Familia church is. After this, continue to the Montjuic Hill, claimed by the city on the occasion of the 1929 International Exposition, when the mountain was developed and trade fair halls and sports installations were constructed, as well as the parks and gardens which are to be found all over the mountain. Today it is the most important recreational area in Barcelona. Drive by the Olympic Ring and make a brief stop at the Mirador del Alcalde for a panoramic view of the city. Finally, arrive at the Gothic Quarter for a walking visit. The facade of the cathedral and octagonal dome are Neo-Gothic structures of the 19th century, designed according to a 15th-century drawing. Discover one of the most beautiful bays of Europe on this relaxing tour and get close to places only accessible by boat. You’ll get within close proximity of the arsenal and admire the National Marine buildings. See the marine cemetery, the last anchorage place for old vessels; the port of La Seyne sur Mer and its old shipyards along with the Corniche of Tamaris. Cruise by Lazaret Bay and its mussel farms, Les Sablettes, St Mandrier Peninsula, the jetty which closed the bay from the east and its fortifications Eyguillette, Balaguier, St Louis, Lamalgue, Tour Royale and Cap Brun.

This is an ideal option for those who don’t want to miss going to Florence, but have difficulty with the extensive amount of walking involved in all other tours that visit the legendary city. Before entering Florence, you’ll stop at a leather factory where you’ll see artisans at work as well as have the opportunity to do some shopping. Proceed to Michelangelo Square for a magnificent view of the city and a great photo opportunity. You’ll then go on a panoramic ride along the hills of Florence and along the Arno River. Your coach will leave you near St. Croce Square with its many shops, restaurants and cafes. Ponte Vecchio and Signoria square are only a few minutes walk away. You’ll have approximately 1 1/2 hours of free time to browse, shop or simply wander the streets of Florence. At a designated time, you’ll meet your escort for the ride back to Livorno. Get away from the hustle and bustle of Naples and enjoy the quaint atmosphere of Sorrento. Start with a panoramic drive from Naples along the beautiful coast. Upon arrival in Sorrento, your guide will introduce you to this lovely city and give out your drink coupons which you can use for a complimentary soft drink or ice-cream anytime during your free time. Get to know the city better, shop, or do as you please (the amount if time spent in Sorrento depends on traffic conditions). You’ll meet your guide at the designated place and time for the return drive to Naples with more beautiful views of the coast. Note: Walking during the free time is at the guests' discretion. Due to traffic restrictions of the Sorrento center a short walk from the motorcoach drop off point to the main center and vice versa will be required. less
