Today’s adventure will be one of a kind! You’ll board your sea kayaks and set out into the clear blue Adriatic Sea. Enjoy paddling along the magnificent Dubrovnik City Walls, and take a swim in one of the secluded caves and simply become one with nature. Note: Tour participation is limited, but is subject to a minimum number of participants to operate. The maximum weight for each passenger is 242 lbs (110 kg). Each guest will be given a paddle, life jacket, and a bottle of water. We recommend that you bring a towel, a swimsuit, sunglasses, sunscreen and a change of clothes. Depart Dubrovnik by motorcoach along the Adriatic Road through the scenic and picturesque Dubrovnik Countryside toward the Village of Gruda. In Gruda you’ll be met by professional staff who will give a tour briefing. After about fifteen minutes of preparation, your adventure begins. The ride is very scenic as you pedal through the countryside, vineyards and along the Ljuta River. En route, stop near the river, where fresh local fruits will be served. At the end of your biking adventure, you’ll visit a local winery in Gruda Village for a wine tasting. The type of vehicle used in this tour can only be found in Iceland. Each vehicle is custom built with the biggest available road legal tires in the world. These Supertrucks are piloted by trained professionals who have an intimate knowledge of the sensitive Icelandic sub-Arctic nature. This super 4x4 adventure takes you to places magically created by the power of volcanoes, ice and time. Shortly after heading out from Reykjavik, you’ll leave Road No. 1 to drive along the pipeline road until you get to the mountain and pass Frakkastigur Track where you'll go 'off road'. Frakkastigur Mountain Pass offers panoramic views over Lake Pingvallavatn, active volcano Hengill, the geothermal powerplant of Nesjavellir and its surroundings – truly a breathtaking view. Nesjavellir Power Plant, which was formally opened in 1990, powers a 190-megawatt geothermal plant, using the nearby field of boreholes, developing the largest high-temperature field in Iceland. This incredible geothermal field is in fact one of the main sources of hot water harnessed to heat houses of Reykjavik. From Nesjavellir you’ll take the gravel road along Lake Thingvallavatn, driving along the lush farmlands of the south to the birch grown area of Thrastarlundur. Here, in this beautiful area, you’ll make a short comfort stop before continuing your adventure. After re-boarding your vehicle, you’ll head off the beaten track by way of a trail known as 'The Thousand Waters'. Your convoy winds its way through numerous rivers, mud banks and streams before arriving back in the capital. Discover the ultimate dolphin adventure by spending an exciting day (approximately 6 hours) working beside the trainers. You’ll gain an insight and understanding of the basic skills needed to care for and train dolphins and sea lions through practical hands-on experience, while being an active member of the team of marine mammal experts. You’ll be in close contact with the dolphins and sea lions throughout the day – both in the pool and poolside - while assisting trainers in every aspect of their work. This is a fun-filled, one-of-a-kind adventure. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age. A light lunch from the snack bar is included. Upon arrival at Tarquinia Porta Clementina, you’ll collect your bicycles and meet the group leader. Then, proceed through the Medieval historic center of Tarquinia passing by some of the most important monuments in this historic village. Visit the main palazzo and the National Etruscan Museum. Continue towards Santa Maria in Castello until you arrive at the typical farmhouse for a wine tasting session. From here, you’ll return to your ship by coach. Float down the Copalita River in an eight-person raft and experience its beautiful landscape. Your guide will give instructions and safety briefing, and then you'll enjoy your descent while floating silently downstream for approx 60 minutes. There is much to see for all nature lovers: The natural habitat of the local tropical birds, parrots, egrets, herons, frigate birds, cormorants, sand pipers, king fishers, oriols and wrens; and the variety in tropical flora and fauna - 80% of the vegetation is low jungle caducifoliae (drops leaves once a year)- with some tree species growing up to 18 meters. Approximately 100 species of birds are present in this area, including several endangered, protected and rare species. This is an unforgettable day with overwhelming natural beauty. Note: Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Guests must be in good physical condition. Pregnant women and guests with heart or respiratory conditions or back and neck injuries are not allowed to participate. Not recommended for guests in wheelchairs or who use walking aids such as canes or crutches. Necessary gear such as helmets and life vests will be provided.
