This exclusive tour is an opportunity to travel in a small group by minibus to see the magnificent ruins of Ephesus which is one of the best preserved Greek/Roman cities in Asia Minor. You’ll experience other historical and natural values around it such as at your first stop, the House of Virgin Mary. This was declared a place of pilgrimage in 1892, and has since been visited by many Christian pilgrims. From here you’ll continue to Ephesus, one of the most interesting and extensive ancient cities in the world. Built in the 3rd century B.C., this is the center of attraction in the Aegean Region. The remains from the Roman period are a grand amphitheater, the Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, the Scholastic Baths, the Odeon, the Lower Agora, and the State Agora. The tour will end with a stop at a local handicraft center designed as a typical Turkish village to see how the famous Turkish carpets are made before driving to Izmir. Note: This tour is similar to IZM_01 Ephesus & the Virgin Mary tour but is conducted in small groups and requires a minimum number of passengers to operate. Expect crowded venues and long lines. Following a short transfer by tender boat from your ship to the port of Athinios, you'll board the awaiting motorcoach that will transfer you to Perivolos Beach, located on the southern side of the island. On arrival at the beach, you'll have the opportunity to swim in the crystal waters of the Aegean Sea, relax under the always shining Greek sun or even entertain yourself with the variety of watersports (not included) available on the beach by local concessionaires. After a day of relaxation your coach returns you to the capital of the island, Fira where you’ll have free time to stroll through the city and admire the beautiful views of the caldera before taking the cable car down to the port to return by tender to your ship.

This ultimate experience offers you a perfect opportunity to see the countryside, meet the locals and sample local products and cuisine without missing the highlights of Dubrovnik. Start with a pleasant bus ride along the Adriatic coastline. Your first stop is in the small, charming village of Orasac. This trip through time will certainly delight you once you come across the old home that greets you with the chance to taste some homemade cheese, smoked ham and wine. Not much has changed here through the ages - the mill is still driven by a horse. Enjoy a demonstration of how olive oil is made, the old fashioned way. After visiting Orasac Village you will continue towards the small town of Ston which is the "oyster capital" of Croatia. This little town is often called a smaller version of Dubrovnik. Especially notable are the magnificent 5 km long walls surrounding the town. Its construction started in 1317 and finished in the 16th century and it is one of the longest defensive walls in the world. Interesting are also the ancient salt pans that were in use during the Dubrovnik Republic; salt is still produced here. When you mention Ston in Croatia, people usually think of the oysters. Oyster farms are found all around the area. In Mali Ston, board a local boat where your host will welcome you on board and introduce you to oyster & mussel beds, their production, and you’ll even have the opportunity to taste fresh mussels and oysters. After this very unique experience step back ashore to enjoy sea food specialties served in a charming local tavern. After, return to Dubrovnik, where your guide will show you the highlights of the Old Town, followed by free time for further independent exploration. Driving for approximately 30 minutes from the port through the lush and verdant Corfiot countryside will bring you to a leading resort at Dassia village. Lying on the east coast of the island, you’ll have approximately four hours to sit back and enjoy the beautiful setting with its beach and crystal-clear waters. This ultimate tour of Dubrovnik encompasses the main highlights of this unique place and you get to enjoy it in a small group by minibus. You’ll depart the pier walking approximately 495 feet (approximately 150 meters) to the parking area and toward the newly open cable car station. Ascend by cable car to enjoy a panoramic view from Srd hill. You’ll have a bird’s eye view of the entire city and of the old Dubrovnik rooftops which you’ll always remember. Enjoy spectacular views while sipping a glass of Croatian wine and tasting some of the finest Croatian cheeses. From Mount Srdj, you’ll depart by minibus on a scenic drive to the picturesque seaside resort town of Cavtat, with a long history that dates back to the 6th century BC. Today, the city that was founded by the Greeks, is a popular tourist destination. Its seafront promenade is filled with shops, and restaurants. You’ll have an opportunity to sit at one of the many cafes along the coast or enjoy a nice walk along the beautiful sea front promenade. Depart Cavtat back to Dubrovnik for a short guided walking tour of the city, followed by free time before heading back to your ship. Note: This tour requires approximately 1 mile of walking. This tour is operated in small groups and the participation is limited, but a minimum needs to be reached in order to operate. Get away from the hustle and bustle of Naples and enjoy the quaint atmosphere of Sorrento. Start with a panoramic drive from Naples along the beautiful coast. Upon arrival in Sorrento, your guide will introduce you to this lovely city and give out your drink coupons which you can use for a complimentary soft drink or ice-cream anytime during your free time. Get to know the city better, shop, or do as you please (the amount if time spent in Sorrento depends on traffic conditions). You’ll meet your guide at the designated place and time for the return drive to Naples with more beautiful views of the coast. Note: Walking during the free time is at the guests' discretion. Due to traffic restrictions of the Sorrento center a short walk from the motorcoach drop off point to the main center and vice versa will be required. less
