Following a short transfer by tender boat from your ship to the port of Athinios, you'll board the awaiting motorcoach that will transfer you to Perivolos Beach, located on the southern side of the island. On arrival at the beach, you'll have the opportunity to swim in the crystal waters of the Aegean Sea, relax under the always shining Greek sun or even entertain yourself with the variety of watersports (not included) available on the beach by local concessionaires. After a day of relaxation your coach returns you to the capital of the island, Fira where you’ll have free time to stroll through the city and admire the beautiful views of the caldera before taking the cable car down to the port to return by tender to your ship.
Note: Please remember to wear your swimsuit, bring a towel and sun protection. This tour will only operate from June through August. Temperatures can reach extreme highs during summer months; we recommend that you drink a lot of water, use suitable sun protection and dress in layers. Guests who are planning to visit religious sites during free time or on tour, please dress appropriately; no bare shoulders or shorts are allowed. less

This excursion combines the charm of both old and new Mexico. Begin with a drive through the Marina Vallarta area and a stop at the small village’s local church. Continue to Hacienda Dona Engracia, one of the finest tequila factories in the area for a first-hand look at the manufacturing process of tequila and some free time to explore the grounds of this working hacienda. A short shopping stop will be made on the way into the center of Puerto Vallarta where you can walk along the popular Malecon, visit the Cathedral of our Lady of Guadalupe and see Old Town City Hall, while taking in fantastic views of the waterfront and the charm of the cobblestone streets. You may choose to stay in town on your own or return to your ship. Note: Short pants are not permitted in the cathedral. Tequila samples are only given to guests 21 and older. less

Start with a pleasant drive through Hafnarfjordur town, picturesquely located on an ancient lava flow. Continue along the pretty enchanting Kleifarvatn Lake, one of the deepest lakes in Iceland, where you'll make a short photo stop. Then head to the geothermal fields of Krysuvik, where you'll witness the powerful jets of steam escaping from deep below the earth’s crust and purple and yellow pools of boiling mud of the solfataras. Drive across the impressive volcanic plateau of Reykjanes, crossing the bustling fishing village of Grindavik. The Blue Lagoon is close by, crowned by clouds of vapor and surrounded by lava, owing its existence to a nearby geothermal power plant. The water of the lagoon is warm, mineral-rich and reputed for its healing properties. This natural and very popular health spa is now a major attraction in the region. After viewing the Blue Lagoon, drive over the lava-covered Reykjanes peninsula to the outskirts of the little town Njardvik the 'Icelander' is 23 m long, 5.25 m wide and weighs 80 gross tons. To commemorate the thousandth anniversary of his countrymen navigating to and discovering North America, the shipbuilder Gunnar Eggertsson traveled on the 'Icelander' to America and back again in the year 2000. Homeward bound, you'll drive back through the Reykjanes lava fields, before arriving at the pier. less

Would you like to enjoy a day of authentic Mexican fun? At Hacienda Dona Engracia we have a real Mexican Fiesta planned for you, with colors, displays, contests and more. Upon arrival enjoy a guided tour of the hacienda and tequila factory, with free tequila samples. During lunch you’ll be entertained with music, displays of dancing horses, traditional Mexican folkloric ballet and of course, typical Mexican food. After the party there will be time for some contests, prizes and fun. Then you’ll head to the downtown area for a city tour and some shopping in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. Passing through the charming downtown area you’ll see the famous waterfront Malecon, the ever popular statues and the beautiful Our Lady of Guadalupe Cathedral before you head back to your ship. This leisurely tour combines a scenic drive around the picturesque north of the island with some photo stops, a tasting of local specialties and some free time at one of the top resort destinations in the Canary Islands, Puerto de la Cruz. From the pier of Santa Cruz, head north passing by the Orotava Valley. Enjoy the great views over the green banana plantations of La Orotava and Puerto de la Cruz, the main tourist resort of the north of the Island. Your first photo stop is next to Humboldt’s panoramic view point, over the valley. Continue to San Pedro on the north coast for another panoramic photo stop. Turning back on the road to Los Realejos, the next stop is at the emblematic meson El Monasterio, situated on a hill in the middle of the Orotava Valley. Here you’ll have a fantastic view over the green valley and the blue coastline while enjoying tasty local specialties and wine. Your last destination is Puerto de la Cruz for sightseeing through the city with some short stops, passing by its famous Plaza del Charco, the picturesque fishing harbor and the Garden Beach. Travel into the Sierra Madre Mountains towards Argovia Plantation and Estate for your authentic temazcal experience. Upon arrival, you’ll be given a complimentary drink and educational information about the history of the Temazcal and its importance in ancient cultures. A safety briefing will be provided before your sweat bath. After your Temazcal experience, you’ll be applied a clay facial mask, which you will rinse off short after. Lastly, refresh yourself with a snack, taste some coffee or shop at the local stores before returning to your ship. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Guest should wear a hat and comfortable shoes. There will be some time to change clothes, if needed, prior to and following the bath. Most areas are not wheelchair accessible. Take a scenic drive to the tropical forest area of Bijagual, which is located near the boundaries of the Carara Biological Reserve. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Pura Vida Botanical Gardens, one of the most spectacular private gardens in Costa Rica. See beautifully manicured gardens noticing that they are also bordered by one of the tallest waterfalls in the country. Pura Vida is home to over 60,000 flowering plants, including 60 varieties of heliconia, 10 varieties of ginger, and orchids. Look for butterflies, macaws, parrots, parakeets, toucans, kingfishers, birds of prey, and waterfowl. During the 1 1/2 hour guided walk along gravel trails, your guide will help you explore this incredible wonderland. Take in the ocean views in the distance as you meander through the walkways and see some wildlife. After the walk concludes, continue on for a few minutes to Villa Lapas Ecological Hotel, where fresh tropical fruits will replenish your energy. Then browse the gift shop for souvenirs before heading back to your ship. Weather permitting, a quick stop will also made at the Tarcoles River for crocodile observation. Driving for approximately 30 minutes from the port through the lush and verdant Corfiot countryside will bring you to a leading resort at Dassia village. Lying on the east coast of the island, you’ll have approximately four hours to sit back and enjoy the beautiful setting with its beach and crystal-clear waters. Swim in the Ionian Sea and pay homage to the sun and sea gods who have showered their blessings upon this mythical isle. A beach bed and umbrella (one umbrella per two beds), and soft drink or coffee from the hotel are included. Further refreshments may be purchased from the canteens and beach bars on hand. For the more adventurous, watersports are available on the beach at an additional charge. Note: Please remember to wear your swimsuit, bring a towel and sun protection. Learn about some of the world’s endangered species of turtles. You’ll meet seven of eight species of marine turtles that exist worldwide at the Turtle Sanctuary located in Mazunte. This sanctuary is dedicated to the breeding study and preservation of turtles. You’ll also see different growing stages and learn what the Mexican government is doing to protect these very special creatures. Some of the marine turtles swim to the local shores to lay their eggs every year. Your next stop will be a cottage industry and cosmetic’s factory, set up in Mexico by 'The Body Shop' and now exporting their products around the world. Here, you may buy cold and facial masks, creams, shampoo, soap and oils, prepared only with natural ingredients. Then continue to Ventanilla Lagoon, a little community dedicated to maintain and preserve a crocodile farm. Ride a non-motorized canoe to see crocodiles, several species in their natural habitat; such as birds, raccoons, wild ducks, iguanas, crustaceans and reptiles. Note: Participants must be 8 years of age and in good physical conditions. Bring repellent, wear sunscreen and comfortable shoes. This is an ideal option for those who don’t want to miss going to Florence, but have difficulty with the extensive amount of walking involved in all other tours that visit the legendary city. Before entering Florence, you’ll stop at a leather factory where you’ll see artisans at work as well as have the opportunity to do some shopping. Proceed to Michelangelo Square for a magnificent view of the city and a great photo opportunity. You’ll then go on a panoramic ride along the hills of Florence and along the Arno River. Your coach will leave you near St. Croce Square with its many shops, restaurants and cafes. Ponte Vecchio and Signoria square are only a few minutes walk away. You’ll have approximately 1 1/2 hours of free time to browse, shop or simply wander the streets of Florence. At a designated time, you’ll meet your escort for the ride back to Livorno. Note: This is not a guided tour; an English speaking escort will accompany you to and from Florence, and will assist you with any questions you may have.
