Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a connection with these truly remarkable creatures. You’ll have an opportunity to talk, touch, play and swim with gentle and exquisite bottlenose dolphins. Your swim experience begins with a brief presentation on dolphin characteristics, how to use hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with your dolphin and various safety guidelines. Next, your group of no more than eight participants will head to the Dolphin Lagoon where you’ll wade into the shallow, clear waters to begin your exclusive dolphin experience. You'll meet and play with a dolphin for 30 minutes, getting to know each other through hugs, kisses, rubdowns and ultimately, an exciting belly ride. The duration of the program is approximately 60 minutes, including orientation. After your dolphin swim, enjoy complimentary lunch at the dolphin marina and some free time to purchase memories of your experience with the dolphins. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age and no less than 4 feet, 5 inches tall. Do not wear jewelry or sunscreen lotion as it may be harmful to the animals. Take a walking tour of Oslo to admire its historic buildings, cozy cafes and art galleries. You’ll see the Museum of Contemporary Art, Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art, the old Military Hospital, and Christiania’s old concert hall. In the city’s ‘golden center,’ you’ll see monuments and buildings around Karl Johan Street – the Parliament Building, the University, the National Theater, and the Royal Palace. Continue past City Hall Square and the police horse stables before walking into the grounds of the Akershus Fortress. Here, you’ll also find the Norwegian Resistance Museum. Finally, follow a path from the fortress leading directly to the pier.

This delightful after-dinner excursion offers the chance to experience that quintessential canal ride while being serenaded by musicians in traditional fashion. O sole mio! From your ship, you’ll transfer by private motor launch to St. Mark’s Basin where your gondola awaits. After your ride, you can stretch the evening’s magic with a stroll around St. Mark’s Square. Perhaps stop for an espresso at one of the elegant cafes with their orchestras and chandeliers before catching the motor launch back to your ship. Visit Stockholm’s oldest and coziest quarters, the Old Town of Gamla Stan. Witness the historic elegance of the exterior of the dominating Royal Palace, and stroll along the narrow, twisting alleys and cobblestone streets. You’ll experience the medieval intimacy of what is today a living historical monument of international renown. You’ll also see Stortorget and the Great Square – the hub of the Old Town, dominated by the old Stock Exchange, today housing the Nobel Museum and the Swedish Academy, which meets each year to decide the laureate of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Rejoin your coach and continue through the city center and on to the Nordic Hotel in the heart of the city, where the world’s first permanent ice bar is located. The interior is kept at -5° Centigrade all year round. The whole interior, including glasses, is made of pure, clear ice from the Torne River in Northern Sweden. A complimentary drink in an ice glass will be served and the staff will tell you more about the bar and its construction. Note: You’ll spend approximately 25 minutes in the ice bar. Drive through the center of Oslo and pass all of main sights including Akershus Castle, the new Opera House, Parliament Building, National Theater, the University and the Royal Castle. On your way to the museums, you’ll pass one of the farms belonging to the royal family. Visit the Viking Ship Museum, housing three authentic long ships and items found aboard the ships from the Viking era. Next you’ll stop at the Vigeland Sculpture Park. The park features an amazing assemblage of over 150 sculptures in stone, iron and bronze. Created by Gustav Vigeland, they represent the various stages of life. As you stroll along the paths, your guide will discuss this incredible park and its art. Continue through the beautiful residential areas of Oslo past Holmenkollen Ski Jump and stop for a fantastic view of the city and the fjord far below.

Start with a guided walk through old parts of Bergen. Make your way past the University Library and Botanical Gardens. See the Grieg Hall, built in the shape of a Grand piano and the park where many of the city’s Art Museums are located. Cross the Bergen’s main square, Torgalmenningen, with the Seamen’s statue. Soon after, pass the Fish Market on your way to Bryggen Hanseatic Quarters. Here, is where nowadays many artists and businessmen have settled, you can also find a great variety of restaurants and pubs in the area. Before reaching Bergen’s oldest street, Øvregaten Street, pass by St. Mary’s church, one of the outstanding Romanesque churches in the country. Bergen has seven mountains, and on this tour you’ll take the funicular to the top of Mt. Floien, 1,000 feet above the city. The ride takes about five minutes and travels at a 26-degree incline, stopping for commuters along the way. At the summit, be prepared for magnificent views of the city, harbor, and countryside, weather permitting. There’ll be time for shopping or a short walk on one of the forest trails before you return to the city center by funicular and before heading back to your ship. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age and in good health. Wear comfortable walking shoes and sunscreen. This tour may operate in reverse order. less

It began as a Viking settlement, followed by a market, later became a thriving town, and today it is one of the smallest and most pleasant capital cities in the world. Thorshavn today blends the historical and picturesque with all the features of a modern city. You’ll discover quality restaurants and hotels, conference facilities, interesting museums, discotheques, cinema, live theater, exhibitions, sports facilities, parks, and of course excellent shopping. The town and the surrounding areas are ideal for window shopping and pleasant strolls. As Thorshavn is located in the center of the country, the well-developed bus and ferry service can whisk you away to almost every corner of the Faroes and back again the same day. Your tour will visit Tinganes, which is the historic part of Thorshavn. Enjoy a short stop at Skansin to explore the old fort before driving up to the beautiful Nordic House Cultural Centre. This monumental fort is considered to be the most outstanding feat of Spanish military engineering in the new world. After a quick drive through the narrow streets of the walled city, you’ll continue along the coastline to La Boquilla fisherman village. Embark on a leisurely canoe ride through the mangrove tunnels across the Swamp of the Virgin. Visit the mangroves at La Cienaga de Juan Polo, where a great diversity of birds such as Kingsfisher, White heron, Common Laura, Pink Spatula and Pelicans live. Begin your tour by passing the Fortress of Bergenhus with the coronation hall - King Haakon's Hall. Also drive by the Fish Market, Bryggen and Gablehouses. Enjoy the green slope sights of the city and its characteristic mountains. Pass by the Grieghall, the concert hall of Bergen, as well as the suburbs with old well kept houses and gardens. Visit the Fantoft Stave Church, rebuilt after a fire in 1992. This church has been re-constructed using pinewood from the Sognefjord area, similar to the ones built in the Middle Ages. The building has an oriental look with dragonheads and serpents on the roofs to frighten away the evil spirits. Upon returning to the central areas via different route, head out to the peninsula of Nordnes which divides the harbour of Bergen in two sections. Lastly, before returning to your ship, there will be a guided walk through Bryggen, the Hanseatic Quarter, currently featured on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Bergen was founded in 1070, when the Kingdom of Norway was at the peak of its power. Today, Bergen is the second largest city in Norway. Pass by the medieval King Haakon's Hall and the Rosenkrantz Tower. Continue to the picturesque, wooden buildings of Bryggen, also called the Hanseatic quarter of Bergen. Then, turn up to the lower Fløien Funicular station, where in a few minutes you’ll be whisked up to the top of the hill at approximately 1000 ft above sea level for some breathtaking views. Pass by the Fish Market and drive towards the peninsula of Nordnes, with its typical 19th century white painted wooden houses. Continue along the peninsula with splendid views through the centre of the city; here, you’ll get a glimpse of the Nordasvannet Lake. By this lake is where the composer Edvard Grieg resided. After a brief presentation, head down the dock to a 14,500-square-foot holding pen and as you stand waist-deep in the water, you’ll be introduced to the beautiful Pacific bottlenose dolphin in a hands-on, up-close encounter for approximately 15 minutes. They are as curious about you as you are about them. Take full advantage of this unique opportunity to pet them gently and you’ll even receive a dolphin kiss. During your encounter you’ll also learn ways to ensure their preservation and foster the well-being of these amazing creatures.
