The perfect day to do everything or nothing starts on board the Catamaran in Banderas Bay. Enjoy a beach day full of activity or complete relaxation. Enjoy a scenic cruise along the colorful town of Puerto Vallarta, Los Arcos National Park and the cove of Mismaloya, where you’ll have great photo opportunities. First stop is at Colomitos Beach where you can practice your snorkeling and may be able to closely watch beautiful species of tropical and Pacific Ocean fish, sea horses, sea urchins and marine wildlife in general. You may choose to just spend a little while relaxing at the beach. The following destination will be Majahuitas, a white sandy beach with clear and calm waters, where you can again enjoy the sand and surf or if you prefer, do some kayaking or snorkeling. During your catamaran cruise, depending on the season, you might get to see some wildlife such as dolphins, manta rays, sea turtles or humpback whales. On the way back to shore, enjoy music and entertainment to put an end to your perfect day at Banderas Bay. Note: Continental breakfast and a light lunch are included in the price of this tour. less

Your day begins with a scenic drive to Palmares County. Along the way, a knowledgeable guide will provide you with fascinating information regarding Costa Rica's culture and history and give you the chance to ask questions. Once in Palmares, you’ll see Costa Rica’s most fascinating churches, and will have the opportunity to visit them and learn of their uniqueness. Your next stop will be Doka Estate, located at an altitude of 4,500 feet above sea level. This beautiful estate and coffee plantation was declared a historical and architectural heritage site by the Costa Rican Government. Your guide will relay the magic of coffee from seed to cup. Enjoy a typical buffet at La Cajuela restaurant surrounded by beautiful gardens with mountain views. You’ll have free time to visit souvenir shops and take home some special coffee products. Your last stop will be La Garita, a magnificent botanical garden featuring a learning greenhouse, flower showroom and a bird area of scarlet macaws, blue and gold macaws and cockatoos. Begin your adventure by taking a deluxe drive to the Guanacaste flat lands while enjoying the beautiful passages surrounded by trees and cattle fields. Once at the operation base, you’ll have time to change and get ready to paddle after being briefed on safety procedures. Float down the Corobici River and enjoy its great scenery and wildlife. This classic floating trip is perfect for birdwatchers and nature lovers. As you raft along this tranquil river, you might spot one of the more than 300 species of birds from the nearby Palo Verde National Park. The more commonly seen birds are ospreys, kingfishers, cormorants, and blue, tiger and boat-billed herons. Other wildlife in the area includes otters, howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, anteaters, iguanas and many other lizards. At the conclusion of your trip, a native-style lunch will be served. Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age, weigh less than 270 lbs. and be in good health. Bring a towel, sunscreen and an extra set of clothes if desired; tour may get you wet. less

Fall in love with the fortified city of Avignon, famous for its theater festival and remarkable history. Passing through any of the seven gates of the superbly preserved walls, discover the city of the Popes. You’ll have plenty of free time to do whatever you wish. Stroll through the enchanting pedestrian shopping area, enjoy lunch at one of its many great restaurants or perhaps visit the impressive Palace of the Popes, built in the 14th century. Aix en Provence was the capital of the Provence region and its attractions are many. Embark on a walking tour of the Cours Mirabeau. This wide avenue is shaded by trees and was built in the 1600s on the site of the city’s medieval ramparts. Its verdant tunnel of foliage protects pedestrians from the heat of the Provencal sun. Aristocratic facades of the old hotels line the Cours and their wrought iron balconies and finely carved doorways invite the visitor to explore. Enjoy the scenery of Provence on your drive back to Marseille Note: Tour involves walking for approximately 3 hours on uneven ground and cobblestone, with a few steps in Avignon. Get to know the city of Marseille and the charming old town of Aix en Provence, two iconic cities rich in history and culture. You’ll drive to Marseille to enjoy the sites, arriving by the Corniche J.F. Kennedy, which follows the natural coast and offers a lovely view of the islands dominated by the Marseilleveyre Summit. The Notre Dame de la Garde Basilica was built in the mid-19th century in the Romano-Byzantine style. Those able to climb the 170 steps to the top will be rewarded with a 360° panoramic view of Marseilles and the surrounding area. And if not, you’ll still have a great view from the lookout point. Discover the medieval charm of Aix en Provence on a walking tour to see some of its main sites. You’ll visit Cours Mirabeau one of the most popular and lively areas in town. This wide avenue decorated with fountains and shaded by rows of trees is the central hub of Aix. You'll see the Saint Sauveur Cathedral and its unique combination of architectural styles that date from the 5th to the 17th century. Following the guided tour, you’ll have some free time to shop, have lunch on your own at one of the lively cafes or to explore further. You’ll meet your guide at a designated time and place for the return to Toulon. Your San Sebastian land expedition begins with a 90-minute drive by air-conditioned van from Puerto Vallarta to the 17th century mining town of San Sebastián. As the road weaves through the mountains, you'll enjoy fantastic scenery and typical scenes of rural Mexican life, making the journey both breathtaking and relaxing. Enjoy a typical lunch before your walk through town. Once in San Sebastian, wander around in this very peaceful town, which has changed so little in hundreds of years. Come across a quaint cobblestone plaza lined by dignified white buildings, a classic Porfirian bandstand, an 18th century church dedicated to San Sebastián and many old world Haciendas. Driving along the scenic Lower Corniche you’ll reach the dazzling city of Nice that enjoys a privileged setting on the hill-framed curve of the Baie de Anges on this shore excursion. Travel along the Promenade de Anglais, see the Russian Orthodox Church and take a walk around the fascinating old town with its narrow streets teeming with life. Reboard your coach for the drive to the Medieval village of Eze. You’ll be dropped off at the general parking area in Eze and will have the choice to visit the perfume factory or to walk up the steep cobblestone streets of Eze where the alluring Medieval atmosphere will enchant you. Don’t miss the magnificent views of the coast from the top before rejoining your coach to continue to the diamond, Monaco. Your coach will park at the foot of the rock, where you'll be carried to the top by escalators and elevators. On the upper level, enjoy a guided walking tour, passing by the main sights. After a short drive along the F1 circuit, you’ll reach Monte Carlo where you’ll start another walking tour that will bring you up (80 steps) to the square where you’ll discover the well-known Grand Casino. Here you’ll have some free time to take in the attractions of your choice around the Place du Casino before returning by motorcoach to your ship. The posh waterfront of St. Tropez and the “Little Venice” of Provence are yours to enjoy on this day. Drive along the wooded coastline to the fashionable, picturesque waterfront of St. Tropez. Join your guide on a walking tour of the port and the old harbor filled with yachts, from the most humble to the most luxurious. On the waterfront and in neighboring streets, the old pink and yellow houses have been converted into cafés, luxury boutiques and antique shops. You’ll have some time at leisure to do as you wish. Need suggestions? Why not relax at a waterfront café, watch an artist create a masterpiece or browse the local market? After some free time for lunch on your own, you’ll see how the other half lives in “Little Venice” as you continue to Port Grimaud. This is the first of the Cote d'Azur's custom-built resorts and it was designed to resemble an old world Mediterranean fishing village. During your free time, you might opt take a mini cruise along its canals, enjoy people watching from a café or climb up to the roof of the church for a striking panorama of the gulf of St Tropez. Drive along the F1 circuit towards the motorway to Cannes. Stop in Cannes, a world-renowned resort town which is host to so many glittering movie festivals. Your drive will then continue to Saint Paul de Vence where you'll discover the quaint village which has retained much of its Medieval appearance, its ramparts remaining remarkably intact to this day. There will be an opportunity to stroll through the narrow, cobblestone lanes, exploring the many wonderful boutiques before returning to the Principality of Monaco. Once you reach Monaco by motorcoach, you'll be carried to the top of the rock by escalators and elevators. On the upper level, enjoy a guided walking tour passing by the Oceanographic Museum, the cathedral, and the exterior of the Prince's Palace. You’ll have the option to return to the pier by motorcoach or you can choose to walk back on your own. Note: During summer months expect extreme heat, crowded venues and long lines. Before leaving Monaco, you’ll drive along the F1 circuit towards the motorway to Cannes. Enjoy a stop in this world-renowned resort town which is host to so many glittering movie festivals. After stopping in Cannes, you’ll continue along a scenic coastal road that will lead to Nice. Enter the city driving along the Promenade des Anglais, a splendid palm-lined boulevard stretching three miles along the Baie des Anges. You’ll pass landmarks such as the legendary Negresco, an imposing hotel with a Rococo facade and the Russian Orthodox Cathedral, built with pink bricks, light gray marble and vividly colored ceramics that gives an exotic touch to the Nice scene. Your drive continues passing Regina Hotel to Cimiez Hill, a sophisticated part of Nice with many large villas. You’ll pass the Franciscan Monastery, gardens and Roman arenas before arriving in Old Nice. Here you’ll visit the old city where tall houses, bright with flowers or washing, protect from the glare of sun and keep the streets cool. Continue with a walk on Cours Saleya, the elegant promenade of Old Nice, lined with shops and restaurants and with the famous flower market (the Flower Market is closed on Mondays). On your visit to Marseille, you’ll see the entrance of the old port guarded by the two fortresses: Saint John and Saint Nicolas. Drive to the Basilica Notre Dame de la Garde for a very interesting visit where you’ll discover the city of Marseille. In Avignon, city of art and culture, the metropolis of the Vaucluse region which spreads along the banks of the Rhone River, see the famous Pont d’Avignon with only four of its arches remaining. Avignon was a small but prosperous town when its destiny changed in the early 14th century with the exile of the Popes to France, leading to a century of brilliance. It is surrounded by ramparts and dominated by the Doms Rock which is crowned by the magnificent Cathedral and Palace of the Popes. Enjoy some free time for lunch and shopping on your own. Note: Tour involves walking for approximately 3 hours on uneven ground and cobblestone, with a few steps in Avignon. Driving time between Marseille and Avignon is approximately 1 1/2 hours long. Board your coach for the drive to the Medieval village of Eze. As you climb its steep cobblestone streets, the alluring Medieval atmosphere will enchant you. Don’t miss the magnificent views of the coast from the top. Rejoin your coach to continue to ‘The Diamond’, Monaco. Your coach will park at the foot of the rock, where you'll be carried to the top by escalators and elevators. On the upper level enjoy a guided walking tour, passing by the main sights. After free time for lunch, you’ll reach Monte Carlo Square and first discover the well-known Casino Square. You’ll have some free time to take in the attractions of your choice around the Place du Casino. Then your coach will take you directly back to Cannes. Note: Your coach will park at the old train station and you’ll continue on foot (approx. 30 minutes) uphill, over cobblestone streets and large steps. To reach Casino Square, there is an approximate 10 minute walk and 80 steps from the coach parking area. Casino de Monte Carlo opens its Salles Americaines (free admission) at noon, with slot machines only. Salles Publiques (entrance fee of 10 Euros in cash) is open at 12:00 noon for Roulette, 2:00 p.m. for slot machines. Visitors must be at least 18 years of age, show passport and driver’s license. Formal dress is not required to enter most of the casino, but smart dress is strongly encouraged; no shorts or flip-flops are allowed. There is a free-admission, American-style casino at the Cafe de Paris, which opens at 10:00 a.m. less
