Depart the pier to La Popa Monastery, located on top of a hill overlooking Cartagena. This monastery was built at the beginning of the 17th century and houses a Colonial museum and a chapel dedicated to Virgen de la Candelaria, patron saint of Cartagena. Next, make a photo stop at San Felipe Fortress. This castle defended the city from many attacks and withstood the bloodiest assault from the British Admiral Vernon. Then, proceed to the Old City where you’ll walk approximately five blocks in the Colonial part of the city. Once at Bolivar Plaza, you’ll find Saint Peter Claver Church, the cathedral and the Inquisition Palace. After your walk, drive through the modern part of the city to a rest stop at the Pierino Gallo Plaza, for refreshments and some shopping. Afterwards, you’ll visit Pastelillo Fort, constructed in the mid 1700's. This is home to one of the most exclusive restaurants in town, Club de Pesca. Located in a corner of the 300 year old fortress, the restaurant overlooks Cartagena's marina and has a view of the walled city. At this elegant setting, take in the surroundings while enjoying a delicious Caribbean appetizer with a contemporary touch. Note: Bring comfortable clothing and shoes. less

The type of vehicle used in this tour can only be found in Iceland. Each vehicle is custom built with the biggest available road legal tires in the world. These Supertrucks are piloted by trained professionals who have an intimate knowledge of the sensitive Icelandic sub-Arctic nature. This super 4x4 adventure takes you to places magically created by the power of volcanoes, ice and time. Shortly after heading out from Reykjavik, you’ll leave Road No. 1 to drive along the pipeline road until you get to the mountain and pass Frakkastigur Track where you'll go 'off road'. Frakkastigur Mountain Pass offers panoramic views over Lake Pingvallavatn, active volcano Hengill, the geothermal powerplant of Nesjavellir and its surroundings – truly a breathtaking view. Nesjavellir Power Plant, which was formally opened in 1990, powers a 190-megawatt geothermal plant, using the nearby field of boreholes, developing the largest high-temperature field in Iceland. This incredible geothermal field is in fact one of the main sources of hot water harnessed to heat houses of Reykjavik. From Nesjavellir you’ll take the gravel road along Lake Thingvallavatn, driving along the lush farmlands of the south to the birch grown area of Thrastarlundur. Here, in this beautiful area, you’ll make a short comfort stop before continuing your adventure. After re-boarding your vehicle, you’ll head off the beaten track by way of a trail known as 'The Thousand Waters'. Your convoy winds its way through numerous rivers, mud banks and streams before arriving back in the capital. Note: This tour is not recommended for passengers with back or neck problems due to the rough overland driving. less

This ultimate experience offers you a perfect opportunity to see the countryside, meet the locals and sample local products and cuisine without missing the highlights of Dubrovnik. Start with a pleasant bus ride along the Adriatic coastline. Your first stop is in the small, charming village of Orasac. This trip through time will certainly delight you once you come across the old home that greets you with the chance to taste some homemade cheese, smoked ham and wine. Not much has changed here through the ages - the mill is still driven by a horse. Enjoy a demonstration of how olive oil is made, the old fashioned way. After visiting Orasac Village you will continue towards the small town of Ston which is the "oyster capital" of Croatia. This little town is often called a smaller version of Dubrovnik. Especially notable are the magnificent 5 km long walls surrounding the town. Its construction started in 1317 and finished in the 16th century and it is one of the longest defensive walls in the world. Interesting are also the ancient salt pans that were in use during the Dubrovnik Republic; salt is still produced here. When you mention Ston in Croatia, people usually think of the oysters. Oyster farms are found all around the area. In Mali Ston, board a local boat where your host will welcome you on board and introduce you to oyster & mussel beds, their production, and you’ll even have the opportunity to taste fresh mussels and oysters. After this very unique experience step back ashore to enjoy sea food specialties served in a charming local tavern. After, return to Dubrovnik, where your guide will show you the highlights of the Old Town, followed by free time for further independent exploration. Note: This tour is not suitable for passengers who have difficulties walking, getting in and out of the boat or negotiating steps. When tendering into Dubrovnik Old Town tour duration will be shorter. less
