Harness up and zip across valleys and gulches. Soar over streams and view places more spectacular than you could ever imagine! This exclusive zip experience takes place on private lands that have never before been open to the public. It's a backcountry adventure that will take you deep into and above Kauai's interior as you traverse down a mountainside into the lush valley below. The tour starts with a historic and scenic drive to the start of the zip course. Descend the mountainside sailing along a series of seven zip lines. At the end of the zipping, enjoy a delicious snack and a refreshing swim. Relax, bask in the sun or just soak in a natural swimming pool. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age and weigh between 100 lbs. to 250 lbs. Not recommended for guests who are prone to seizures, uncomfortable with heights, pregnant, or those with neck, back, shoulder, hip, or knee problems. You’ll drive through Kona’s coffee country and visit Kona Joe's Coffee, where they have adopted methods from the world's finest wine producers to cultivate the award winning Kona Joe trellised coffee. You’ll see how coffee is processed and then sample the "People's Choice Award" coffee. Next, you’ll visit the "Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory". This is the only factory of its kind in Hawaii. You’ll see and learn how chocolate is made from the actual cacao trees grown on the property. And of course, you’ll have the chance to sample the luxurious chocolates! This is a rare chance to visit the endangered tropical cloud forests high above Kona, experience one of the most prestigious Kona Coffee farms, and explore the ancient fish traps of Kaloko Honokohau National Historical Park. Your trained ranger guide will explore and share a private 70 acre cloud forest sanctuary. Walking under a canopy of 30 foot tall tree ferns, Ohia trees, and bamboo, learn about the tropical flora, birds and the endangered cloud forest itself before traveling to the award-winning Mountain Thunder Coffee Farm. Tour the coffee mill and then get ready to taste one of the most sought after coffees in the world grown on the volcanic slopes of Kona. Next take a scenic drive to the Kaloko Honokohau National Historical Park. Your adventure will begin with a comfortable van ride up to the 6,500 foot elevation of Mount Haleakala. As your guide points out Maui highlights from a panoramic 100-mile bicoastal view, you can gaze at Maui's green central valley, the blue Pacific Ocean, West Maui Mountains and the neighboring islands of Lanai, Molokai, Molokini and Kaho'olawe. The bike journey starts at an elevation of 6,500 feet. Then following your guide, you’ll gently bike down the 21 switchbacks on the western slopes of the world’s largest resting volcano as your escort van driver follows for your safety. You are welcome to ride in the escort van at any time. Along the way there will be photo stops to capture your Maui moments. You'll visit the Sunrise Market and Protea Flower Farm where you can purchase exotic flowers as well as local foods, sandwiches, salads and beverages. Enjoy Maui's beautiful landscapes as you bike through some of the most unique parts of Maui. You’ll love to coast through eucalyptus forests, glide past the colorful lavender farms in Kula, and travel along jacaranda tree-lined roadways.
