Take an exclusive journey through the history of Kilohana, the Manor House, train and Kalamaku show. This specially created evening begins with a ride on the Kauai Plantation Railway. This is an authentic narrow-gauge railroad that conducts tours of working tropical agriculture crops within the Kilohana estate and on surrounding lands. Powered by a diesel-engine locomotive, passengers ride in four restored King Kalakaua-style wooden cars. Your next stop will be at 22 North, a perfectly restored manor house at Kilohana which was the most expensive and beautiful home ever built on Kauai. You’ll delight in a unique meal featuring Kauai-grown meats, fish and produce, including fruits and vegetables from Kilohana Plantation’s 60-acre orchard and agricultural park. The manor house has been designated as a state historic landmark and has been restored to its vintage 1930 style. After dinner, you’ll be escorted to the Kalamaku show and your preferred performance seating. This is the story of a family journey across the vast blue waters of the Pacific with the spirit of the ocean as their guide. Our narrator recounts this epic tale through old Hawaiian chants and song while the dancers keep their rhythms against the strong beat of the drums. The story climaxes with a fantastic fire dream featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing. Note: Beverages at 22 North are available for purchase. Beverages and premium seating is included at the Kalamaku show. Must be at least 21 years of age and provide a valid ID to consume alcohol. Participants between the ages of 3 and 17 years of age will be charged the child rate. Price reflected on NCL.com is inclusive of the $10 Pre-book savings. less

Experience life on the planet’s most active volcano during this deluxe tour to Kilauea. Meet your guide for the day and board your tour vehicle. The drive to the volcano will take you through Banyan Drive where visiting dignitaries such as Babe Ruth, Cecil B. DeMille, and then-Senator Richard Nixon planted the famed Banyan trees. The drive also takes you past the waterfront Japanese Gardens of Queen Liliuokalani. The lush greenery of Hilo gives way to stark black basalt lava flows in Kalapana, a village completely destroyed by the advancing lava flows just a few years ago. Your first stop is the Painted Church. Now decommissioned, it was moved by determined villagers not once but twice to evade the molten lava flows. Next, you'll walk across the recent lava flows to the newest black sand beach on the island. You'll witness how the volcano engulfed everything in it’s path, even completely filling in Kaimu Bay with molten lava. This walk takes you over what once was the best swimming beach on Hawaii Island. Continue along the scenic Puna coastline to view the jagged lava cliffs of MacKenzie State Park. Then your guide will share a volcanically heated lava cove where you can take a refreshing dip or snorkel looking for tropical fish and the occasional giant green sea turtle. Finally, you'll visit Lava Tree State Park to view the incredible lava formations found here. Left behind in a sudden lava flow in 1790, the hot lava cooled around the native Ohia trees in black rock formations that must be seen to be believed. Your return drive will take you through Hilo. A Hawaiian-style barbecue lunch, which includes complimentary beer and French Champagne, is prepared by your guide along the way, and special dietary needs are happily accommodated with advance notice. There are opportunities to purchase local products and souvenirs along the way. Note: Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and bring a swimsuit and towel. Tour capacity is limited, molten lava will not be seen, and order of itinerary may change. Participants must be at least 4 years of age. less

Sit back and enjoy the sights along the famed Hana Highway without having to navigate the twisting, curving road yourself. An expert driver takes the wheel, while you take in the incredible scenery: lava cliffs, tumbling waterfalls, the rugged northern coastline, and tropical hillsides. You’ll visit various sites along the way to 'heavenly Hana,' the wonderfully isolated, unspoiled region between the eastern slopes of Haleakala and the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy lunch on your own at Hana Ranch before heading to the Kipahulu District of Haleakala National Park. There you’ll have the chance to photograph the glistening pools formed by several waterfalls cascading down the side of Haleakala. Before heading back to your ship, indulge your taste buds and try some local wine at the Tedeschi Winery. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age. This tour is not recommended for those guests who are prone to motion sickness or suffer from back problems, as part of the road traveled is unpaved.
