Departing from Nawiliwili pier, you'll drive through the 'tunnel of trees' to the south coast, passing the beautiful area of Koloa. While continuing along the island's one main highway, enjoy views of Kauai's many distinctive terrains and the small villages and island landmarks. The centerpiece of your trip, Waimea Canyon, greets you with a spectacular view: an array of rainbow colors created by the reds and browns of exposed volcanic rock, mingled with the blues and greens of lush tropical vegetation. At the helicopter terminal, your pilot will be waiting to take you on an approximately 45-minute flight that includes music and narration on the culture, history and myths that go with the spectacular scenery you'll see. Soar through the heavens for a bird's-eye view of magnificent waterfalls, majestic canyons and inaccessible beaches. See the 3,400-foot Mount Namolokama Waterfalls, Waimea Canyon the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific,' the Na Pali Coast, Hale Lea Hanalei Valley, even the famous Makana Bali Hai, and, weather permitting, Mount Waialeale. Explore Volcanoes National Park and learn about Hawaii's Goddess of Fire, Madame Pele, as you drive along the crater's rim as allowed by park rangers; due to activity, parts may be closed. Standing at just over 4,000 feet, Kilauea is not the tallest volcano on the Big Island, but it's certainly the most active. Pass the Kilauea Iki Crater before stopping at the Thurston Lava Tube, where a short walk gives you the opportunity for an up-close view of an extinct lava tube. This tour also visits the Jaggar Museum, where you'll view Halema`uma`u Fire Pit. Finally, end your day with a visit to Big Island Candies where you can sample the tasty treats and take some home. Note: Please be advised that while at Volcanoes National Park, you may encounter natural sulfur gases which can affect those with respiratory problems and you won't see molten lava. Thurston Lava Tube is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven pathways and steps. An additional optional shopping stop may be provided. less

Enjoy lunch on your own at Hana Ranch before heading to the Kipahulu District of Haleakala National Park. There you’ll have the chance to photograph the glistening pools formed by several waterfalls cascading down the side of Haleakala. Upon disembarkation of your cruise ship, proceed to the designated tour bus to commence your tour of Oahu's North Shore and surrounding landscape. Your tour will take you through pineapple and sugar cane fields to the north side of the Island of Oahu. Here you’ll view the island's famous surfing beaches such as Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and Banzai Pipeline before continuing on along beautiful coastline to the other side of the Ko’olau mountain range. You'll see shrimp farms, Chinaman's Hat, and then make a stop at the Mac Nut Farm. Finally you’ll have a 30 minute visit at Byodo Temple on your way back to the airport. Note: This tour is only available for guests with flights after 4:00 pm. Guests are responsible for ensuring their debarkation tours are compatible with their flight departure times.
