Pacific Coastal Cruises: Excursions

The Marietas Islands have been classified as a National Wildlife Preserve due to the numerous species of birds, marine mammals and fish that live here. This tour will let you experience the ecological sights and sounds of this natural environment. From the pier, an eco-guide will escort you to your state-of-the-art catamaran where you’ll meet your crew and receive a brief orientation. Leaving the dock, begin the 1-1/2-hour trip across Banderas Bay to the Marietas Islands. En route, get acquainted with the area through interesting and historical commentary. Keep an eye out for wild dolphins and sea turtles, which thrive in these waters. During the winter months (December to March) humpback whales are also a common sight. If encountered, your boat will pause to observe these creatures. As you approach the islands, your crew will provide you with detailed instructions on both snorkeling and kayaking. You’ll be fitted with snorkeling equipment and a review sheet, which contains information on the types of fish and animals you may encounter. After a 10-minute guided bird-watching trip around the islands by boat to familiarize you with the water conditions and to see the various species, your boat will drop anchor and you’ll have approximately 1 1/2 hours to explore the waters by kayak and/or snorkel. Enjoy a deli-style lunch and open bar aboard the catamaran on the way back as you just sit back and enjoy the entertainment provided by your enthusiastic crew. Depending on weather conditions, you’ll make a beach stop on the return back to your ship. Note: Participants must be in good health. Fasten your seat belts and get ready for fun! Hop on your fully automatic Xrail Buggy for the safest off road experience. Explore Cabo San Lucas’s magical transition from desert to ocean as you travel through mountains and canyons at Migrino sandy river beds, making your way to Half Moon canyon and TreeRock. Here, your guide will enrich you with the knowledge of native history. Step on the gas and enjoy a thrilling ride until you reach the river’s delta where the desert merges with the Pacific Ocean. Next, make your way back to the starting point and then to your ship. Note: Participants must be at least 6 years of age and in good health. Price is per Buggy, only one person needs to book the tour. Drivers must be at least 18 years old and present a valid driver’s license to the tour operator. Pregnant women and guests with back/neck injuries, heart conditions or epilepsy may not participate on this excursion. Helmets and goggles are provided at the starting point of the tour. Our authentic Jamaican Country Bus, the “Zion Bus Line”, will take you on a unique tour from Island Village in Ocho Rios, via Claremont to the birth and final resting place of the King of Reggae, Bob Marley. This pilgrimage has been specifically designed for Reggae enthusiasts and hardcore Bob Marley fans, who would like to visit the “Graceland” of Reggae. The bus ride is a scenic tour of rural St. Ann. Rock to the rhythm of Bob’s greatest hits as your “dreadlocked” driver negotiates the narrow winding country roads to the mountain village of Nine Miles. Level the vibes with an IRIE Rum Punch and listen carefully as your “ductor” (conductor & guide) tells tales of the life and times of young Bob and how he grew up in the hills of St. Ann. On the return trip, stop at the local Jerk Centre for an authentic Jamaican lunch treat of Jerked Pork or Jerked Chicken, Rice & Peas, Festival and Lemonade . Your tour begins with a sightseeing drive along the northeastern coastline to a small town known as St. Ann’s Bay. View the sights from your comfortable coach seat as your guide narrates the history, tales and interesting facts about Jamaica. Observe the town’s classic Court House of 1866 and Statue of Columbus, honoring his landing. On the return drive, observe the culture of exciting Ocho Rios as you are comfortably chauffeured through the stimulating town. A stop will be made at Wassi Art, a local pottery of skilled artisans. A guided tour allows you to interact with these fine artisans as they turn clay into masterpieces, found in the tempting gift shop at the end of the tour. Then, visit Jamaica’s Garden of Eden, the place that the Taino Indians called “Coyaba” or Paradise. Hear the roar, feel the fresh mist of the spray from the spectacular waterfall, cascading down, level after glorious level. Follow the trails with your professional attraction guide through this rainforest. Experience all the shades of green, splashed with exotic flowers of every conceivable color. Coyaba Gardens presents a fascinating museum with ancient artifacts from the natives and early colonials excavated on site. Pause at the eye-catching gift shop with native art and craft before re-boarding your coach. With time at leisure, relax on the outdoor terrace of the Almond Tree Restaurant that overlooks the hypnotic Caribbean Sea. Enjoy a cup of Jamaica’s world famous Blue Mountain Coffee and scrumptious banana bread made daily by the restaurant. Time permitting, take a stroll of the manicured gardens on the property. Your boat will pull up right at the pier where you and other participants will board. Wear your life jackets and get ready for the thrill of your life. As the boat motors out through the Cabo harbor and into the bay, you’ll be fitted with a harness and then one at a time, you’ll sit down on the back of the boat, it’s simple and easy… the boat does the rest! You’ll soar up to 600 feet depending on the wind and water conditions. Tandem is possible depending on the combined weight of the participants and wind speed at the moment. Take your camera up with you and create aerial memories to show your friends and prove that you really did it! Get a bird’s eye view of Land’s End. Return to your starting point dry and sitting down on the back of the boat. Actual flight time is approximately 10 minutes each.

Note: Participants must be at least 7 years of age and those under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (adult need not fly, but must buy a ride-along ticket). Required minimum weight should be at least 100 lbs. with a maximum combined weight of 550 lbs. Minimum and maximum weight may change as per Captain’s discretion based on wind conditions. This tour is not for pregnant women and those guests with neck or back problems, as boat ride can be rough at times. Bottled water and soft drinks are included. See the wonders of waterfalls and enjoy fantastic photo opportunities on your way to Dunn's River Falls. As you approach Dunn’s River, enjoy a truly spectacular view of the worlds most talked about waterfall. Upon arrival to the world-famous Dunn’s River Falls, your friendly hostesses will lead you to your capable guides who will assist you in climbing the 600-feet of cool refreshing water as it cascades over natural limestone terraces. Feel the excitement as you ascend the rushing waters as they plunge directly into the pristine Caribbean Sea. After enjoying the falls, you’ll head to at Dolphin Cove and experience all that it has to offer. At the conclusion of your tour you’ll have the option of being dropped-off at a local shopping plaza for shopping time at your leisure and then make your own way back to your ship. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Participants must weigh no more than 250 lbs. This Tour is not recommended for those who are pregnant, who have back or neck injuries, or those with heart and respiratory conditions. You will not interact with dolphins on this tour. The Dunn’s River Falls are the highlight of Jamaica and tend to be very congested. All guests participating in a tour that visits the falls should wear foot protection that can get wet. River socks are available for rent at the falls. The rocks at the falls are slippery. Climbing the falls is optional and at your own risk. Participants who do not wish to climb the falls may enjoy the small beach at the base. The walk to the beach is on a slope with many stairs, therefore participants should be in reasonably good health. less
