Victoria is the gateway to the Puget Sound, Gulf Islands, and San Juan Islands, and is home to three resident pods of Orca Whales. This tour is designed to take you as up close and personal as permitted with the whales and sea life as they explore their natural feeding grounds along the shores British Columbia’s rugged coastline. You’ll board a motorcoach for a short transfer over to the whale watching vessel departure point. The vessels are equipped with restrooms, and offer covered as well as open viewing locations. As you travel to the viewing location, be sure to enjoy the majesty of the coastline and mountains surrounding you. This area is a playground for many of the world’s wealthiest yacht owners, and multi-million dollar yachts can often be seen cruising through the waters. Note: Orcas are regularly seen, but not guaranteed. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women and people with back problems. less

Your day of discovery begins when you board you air conditioned transportation. You’ll pass by buildings and homes featuring Colonial, Republican and Moorish styles and your guide explains the many influences that came to be in Cartagena. Your first stop will be 'Punta Icacos', near the fishing village of La Boquilla. Here, you’ll be greeted by local fishermen who earn a living by traditional means of fishing. These fishermen will explain the process of making, repairing and casting the nets, as well as provide a demonstration. You’ll even have the opportunity to learn the art of throwing the net if you wish or you can also sip on fresh coconut milk or coconut water while you watch your companions cast the net. On your way back to Cartagena your guide will provide you with more information regarding Columbian history including the "Vallenato". The Vallenato is a traditional type of music typically using an accordion, flute and drum. Next, stop at Rancho Grande where you’ll be greeted and entertained by your own band of Vallenato. Sample a traditional Columbian snack or "frito" if you whish before making your way to the Emerald Museum. Here, you’ll see craftsmen at work as well as learn the history and cultural importance of the precious stone. Then, visit the famous walled or Old City and Portal de Dulce, an area where local vendors sell the handmade Columbian candies, famous around the world. Take a sweet sample before continuing your walk through the Plaza de la Aduana and Simon Bolivar Square. Along the way your guide will point out areas of interest as well as information on the many churches, building and monuments before you begin your free time in the colonial city. Feel free to stroll along the beautiful streets, browse the many shops and admire the beautiful architecture and flower covered balconies before returning to your ship. Note: Bring comfortable shoes and casual clothes. Wear sunscreen. Participants must be able to stand and walk unassisted as well as easily navigate narrow pathways. The roads to the village can be bumpy. less

This excursion combines the charm of both old and new Mexico. Begin with a drive through the Marina Vallarta area and a stop at the small village’s local church. Continue to Hacienda Dona Engracia, one of the finest tequila factories in the area for a first-hand look at the manufacturing process of tequila and some free time to explore the grounds of this working hacienda. A short shopping stop will be made on the way into the center of Puerto Vallarta where you can walk along the popular Malecon, visit the Cathedral of our Lady of Guadalupe and see Old Town City Hall, while taking in fantastic views of the waterfront and the charm of the cobblestone streets. You may choose to stay in town on your own or return to your ship. Note: Short pants are not permitted in the cathedral. Tequila samples are only given to guests 21 and older. less

Ride the rails in style, revisit the gold rush era, and experience the life of a prospector on this fun-filled family tour. In the comfort of your parlor car, a costumed escort “from 1898” will entertain you with stories of gold prospecting. The train follows the same route that thousands of prospectors trotted on foot in search of gold. Historical narration is provided by the White Pass & Yukon railroad crew as you witness the breathtaking panorama.
Transfer to a motorcoach for a short drive to the Klondike Gold Fields and be immersed in the wild history of the Klondike Gold Rush. The dredge master will acquaint you with the gold dredge, a 350 ton gold sifting machine brought back from the Klondike. Learn the art of gold panning and practice your technique in heated water. After you’ve hit pay dirt, weigh your fortune in the Gold Shack. Enjoy browsing in the Gold Parlor where you can shop for gifts and souvenirs. You can also watch a film about gold dredging or Alaska's Northern Lights. Food and drink is available for purchase at the Gold Rush Restaurant & Brewery.
Note: For your convenience, a shuttle bus runs continuously back to the ship so that you can stay as long as you like.

See the best of Cartagena with a tour of the city accompanied by local guide experts. Your first stop will be a view of the imposing military fort of San Felipe de Barajas situated outside the walled city and considered to be the most outstanding feat of Spanish military engineering in the New World. You'll then continue to the historic Colonial city characterized by its walls which took 194 years to be completed. These immense walls enabled Cartagena to defend itself from the numerous attacks of English pirates and other invaders. You’ll be able to walk through Spanish Colonial architecture, some of the best preserved in South America with its imposing merchant’s houses, narrow streets, flower bedecked balconies, civic buildings and beautiful churches. The city is dotted with many squares and public spaces which are now home to sidewalk cafes and restaurants where locals and visitors relax and enjoy the magic of this city. Your next stop will be Bocagrande, which in contrast with the old city is modern with high rise apartment complexes, hotels and restaurants, a great place for visitors. You’ll then have a brief stop for shopping at the Pierino Gallo shopping center famous for its wide variety of jewelry shops. Note: There is a 30 minute continuous walk-in old town. Experience Mexico’s past and present as you explore the ancient Mayan archaeological site of Izapa. Examine artifacts in the Regional Museum and then wander Tapachula’s town square on a sightseeing adventure that will both educate and delight you. Take an approximate 45 minute ride to the ancient ruins of Izapa. From it’s beginnings as a small village around 1500 B.C, Izapa grew into the region’s most influential cultural and commercial center. From here, you’ll travel by bus to the culturally diverse city of Tapachula whose history and heritage has been influenced not only by the Mayans, Mestizo and Spanish but by German, Chinese, Japanese and French immigrants as well. Visit the Archaeological Museum where you’ll be able to inspect Mayan artifacts found in the region. Then, your tour guide will introduce you to some the city’s highlights on a short walking tour around the town square. You’ll have free time for shopping in local artisan shops for leather goods, ceramics and more. You can also explore cafes and colorful streets before returning by bus to your ship. Note: Guests should wear a hat and comfortable shoes. Bring eco-friendly sunscreen and bug repellent. Most areas are not wheelchair accessible. less

Your day begins with a scenic drive to Palmares County. Along the way, a knowledgeable guide will provide you with fascinating information regarding Costa Rica's culture and history and give you the chance to ask questions. Once in Palmares, you’ll see Costa Rica’s most fascinating churches, and will have the opportunity to visit them and learn of their uniqueness. Your next stop will be Doka Estate, located at an altitude of 4,500 feet above sea level. This beautiful estate and coffee plantation was declared a historical and architectural heritage site by the Costa Rican Government. Your guide will relay the magic of coffee from seed to cup. Enjoy a typical buffet at La Cajuela restaurant surrounded by beautiful gardens with mountain views. You’ll have free time to visit souvenir shops and take home some special coffee products. Your last stop will be La Garita, a magnificent botanical garden featuring a learning greenhouse, flower showroom and a bird area of scarlet macaws, blue and gold macaws and cockatoos. View the area's natural beauty and surrounding resorts before passing by unusual rock formations at Organo Bay. Here, a stop will be made for swimming, relaxing time and some refreshments. Your cruise will continue to the tranquil Maguey and Chahue Bay's; then, proceed to Santa Cruz Bay, with its beautiful beaches and see the impressive blowhole located nearby. Soak up the views on the scenic Skyride to Paradise Point. The Skyride takes you approximately 700 feet above sea level to one of the most amazing views in the Caribbean. Enjoy a panoramic vista of the harbor, cruise ships and the hillside town of Charlotte Amalie. The round-trip Skyride ride is 15 minutes, allowing plenty of time at the top to relax with a frozen drink or lunch. The Skyride is located directly across the street from the Havensight Mall. Come at your leisure, as the Skyride runs continuously. Note: There are 25 steps at the Skyride entrance and 10 at the top not including the optional Nature Trail.
