From your antique narrow-gauge car view incredible scenery as your tour guide shares stories and the history of the Klondike Gold Rush. Board a motorcoach to travel the spectacular Klondike Highway taking in the sights of Tormented Valley and Pitchfork Falls. At the foot of the pass, nestled next to a waterfall, rests Liarsville Gold Rush Trail Camp and Salmon Bake. Here a cast of sourdoughs and dance hall girls will entertain you with a hilarious melodrama and a poem. You’ll be set free in the Liarsville gold fields, where you are guaranteed to find the precious metal that drove people wild with Gold Fever!
Enjoy a barbeque of freshly grilled Alaskan salmon, baked beans, potatoes, coleslaw, sourdough rolls, coffee, lemonade and hot apple strudel. Wander over to camp to see the waterfall and have your picture taken with one of the dance hall girls or the camp mascot, a lovable husky. The grand finale is a visit to the Red Onion Saloon in historic downtown Skagway. The Red Onions’ madams will throw you a private party in the prestigious Red Onion Brothel. Sip Alaskan Amber beer, wine, or Madam's punch as you’re entertained by tales of the girls who used to work in these historic rooms! You’ll see the priceless nickel silver dress worn by the Onion’s first madam and many other artifacts left behind.

Your adventure begins with a 75 minute journey through North America's deepest fjord aboard a high speed 26 passenger expedition boat. Watch for whales, seals, sea lions, and cascading waterfalls along the way to a remote beach at Glacier Point, one of the most beautiful places in Alaska.
After a short, adventurous drive across the forested glacial moraines, and a quarter mile walk, the forest suddenly opens to a breathtaking view of the glacier. The crystal blue ice tumbles from the jagged peaks into a pristine lake where 31 foot voyager canoes wait to take you to the very face of the glacier. Throughout your tour, expert guides share their extensive knowledge of this amazing area. Grab your gear and get instruction in the use of stable, state-of-the-art, two person kayaks. Paddle across the cold, pristine waters that the gold rush stampeders plied more than 100 years ago to reach the gold fields of the Yukon. Enjoy pristine alpine wilderness complemented by the scenery of snow-capped mountains that rise in all directions. Your experienced guide will share tales of the gold rush and tell you about the natural history. Watch for bear, mountain goat, caribou and eagles amid the alpine terrain of Tormented Valley. Enjoy a light snack before boarding a motorcoach for your return to Skagway.
Note: Participants must be at least 9 years of age. Guests over 6’4” and with a waist size over 44 inches may not fit in the kayak. This exploratory journey introduces you to this pristine wilderness in an intimate setting with a Certified Naturalist Guide as your leader. Whale sightings are guaranteed on this small group outing combining a marine exploration with a gentle hike at the Mendenhall Glacier on a rain forest trail. Your trip begins with your guide sharing stories and perspectives as you travel out to the Mendenhall Glacier. A short hike takes you along a wooded path once completely covered by the massive glacier. Spend an hour exploring amid forested moraines and sweeping glacial landscapes—even track the glacier's recession over the past 100 years. This small corner of the Tongass National Forest is home to beavers, eagles, salmon, porcupines and black bears. Following a short drive, you’ll climb aboard an exploration vessel specifically designed for up-close wildlife viewing. The customized covered watercraft puts you eye-to-eye with the denizens that thrive in these protected waters. Humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, porpoises, seals and sea birds are commonly seen. Keep a camera handy as you travel from place to place or drift quietly to capture the behaviors and antics of these notable marine residents. Get ready to catch Dolly Varden, Sockeye and Pink Salmon on this one of a kind excursion. You’ll be met and taken to the small boat harbor to board your ferry for the journey to Haines. Keep an eye out for seals, whales and other wildlife as you listen to the stories of Skagway, Haines and upper Lynn Canal. Upon arrival in Haines you’ll be transported to Chilkoot Lake for your fishing adventure. There’s a maximum of 6 anglers per boat and everyone is in control of their own rod and reel. Experienced guides take care of all the baiting, netting and tangled lines so you can enjoy yourself fishing.
Keep a look out for some of the lakes locals, the majestic Bald Eagle and great coastal brown bears make this picturesque valley home and are fairly cooperative in posing for pictures. Be sure to bring layered clothing and extra film. “The fish you catch make the best pictures, the ones that got away make the best stories, and the time you spend make the best memories.” All gear, rods, reels, bait, lures, snacks, some rain gear, and safety equipment are provided.
Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age. Fishing duration is approximately 3 hours. Alaska State Law requires a fishing license that can be purchased on the fishing boat for $20. Guests 15 and under do not need licenses. Fishing is conducted on a catch-and-release basis.

Combine a scenic helicopter flight, a wilderness hike in the Tongass National Forest and a ride aboard the historic narrow-gauge White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad. It’s a perfect mix of breathtaking scenery, great transportation and exercise. Board a helicopter for your flight with views of glacially carved valleys and stunning scenery before landing at Glacier Station. Set out on a 4 to 5 mile hike along the remote upper Skagway River and through pristine old-growth and temperate rain forest on your way to see the magnificent Laughton Glacier.
Your guide will share information about the region's unique natural history throughout the hike and allow plenty of time for photography. Bears, mountain goats, moose and other wildlife call Laughton Valley home. Return to Glacier Station and board the White Pass & Yukon Route Railroad for the 14 mile scenic ride back to Skagway. Your guide will provide an overview of the train and its history. Flight pattern varies based on current weather conditions.
Note: Participants must be at least 9 years of age, be in good physical condition and able to walk over uneven terrain for 3 hours. Dress in layers and wear sturdy walking shoes. Please refrain from bringing large packs or excess gear due to helicopter weigh and space restrictions. Passport required. Guests 250 lbs. and over are charged an additional rate to reserve two seats for safety and comfort.
