Your day begins with a scenic drive to Palmares County. Along the way, a knowledgeable guide will provide you with fascinating information regarding Costa Rica's culture and history and give you the chance to ask questions. Once in Palmares, you’ll see Costa Rica’s most fascinating churches, and will have the opportunity to visit them and learn of their uniqueness. Your next stop will be Doka Estate, located at an altitude of 4,500 feet above sea level. This beautiful estate and coffee plantation was declared a historical and architectural heritage site by the Costa Rican Government. Your guide will relay the magic of coffee from seed to cup. Enjoy a typical buffet at La Cajuela restaurant surrounded by beautiful gardens with mountain views. You’ll have free time to visit souvenir shops and take home some special coffee products. Your last stop will be La Garita, a magnificent botanical garden featuring a learning greenhouse, flower showroom and a bird area of scarlet macaws, blue and gold macaws and cockatoos. Note: Wear comfortable shoes, long pants and a light jacket; bring sunscreen and sunglasses. less

Experience the thrill of a zip-line canopy tour without missing out on the rainforest’s rich wildlife. This innovative ‘Tranopy’ tour combines the in-depth forest view of an aerial tram with the excitement of a canopy tour. Your naturalist guide will accompany you to point out some of the secrets of the primary and secondary rainforest that surrounds you. Your Tranopy tour starts with a ride on the famous tram where you’ll experience all the different layers of the rainforest, from the floor up to the treetops. Silently glide through the colorful, complex beauty of the rainforest canopy. The 30-minute tram ride will bring you through the forest, over tumbling cascades and to the beginning of your canopy adventure. You’ll experience canopying though ten cables – five of which are over 200 meters long. To your right, you’ll find the dense rainforest, and to your left is an extensive view of the valley all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Over 1.5 kilometers of cables will take you through everything from the rich rainforest ecosystems to sweeping views high above the forest floor. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age and weigh no more than 260 lbs. Not recommended for pregnant women or guests with back or neck injuries. Panoramic ocean views and common sightings of wildlife that thrive in the canopy will introduce you to this unique transitional forest. This is also one of the few areas in Costa Rica where you can occasionally see spectacular scarlet macaws majestically soaring above the treetops or sitting in one of the trees. To complete your rainforest experience, visit the Serpentarium, a medicinal plant Garden and Heliconias Gallery. You’ll also have a chance to pass though a snake exhibit set in the tropical rainforest. Enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to your ship. Note: Wear light clothes, closed-toe shoes. Travel by air-conditioned van for approximately 90 minutes through the lush forests and breathtaking scenery of the Sierra Madre to the Argovia Plantation and Estate. Explore the beautiful buildings and spectacular landscapes that make up this one-of-a-kind plantation. Visit the coffee production plant and explore the grounds. Your professional guides will provide in-depth information about the history of the area, the people of Chiapas and the intense work put into creating the perfect cup of coffee. Argovia has diversified its output and also specializes in growing over 125 different ornamental flowers. Here, you’ll tour the flower plantation as well and see these extraordinary specimens of nature’s gifts. Begin your adventure by taking a deluxe drive to the Guanacaste flat lands while enjoying the beautiful passages surrounded by trees and cattle fields. Once at the operation base, you’ll have time to change and get ready to paddle after being briefed on safety procedures. Float down the Corobici River and enjoy its great scenery and wildlife. This classic floating trip is perfect for birdwatchers and nature lovers. As you raft along this tranquil river, you might spot one of the more than 300 species of birds from the nearby Palo Verde National Park. The more commonly seen birds are ospreys, kingfishers, cormorants, and blue, tiger and boat-billed herons. Other wildlife in the area includes otters, howler monkeys, white-faced monkeys, anteaters, iguanas and many other lizards. At the conclusion of your trip, a native-style lunch will be served. Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age, weigh less than 270 lbs. and be in good health. Bring a towel, sunscreen and an extra set of clothes if desired; tour may get you wet. less

Experience the magic and the mystery of the famed Yukon Territory. From the comfort of your motorcoach climb up the South Klondike Highway to the top of the White Pass, 3,292 feet above sea level. Enjoy the majestic peaks, waterfalls and glaciers on this incredible drive. After leaving the White Pass and the U.S.A.,you’ll enter Canada and the unspoiled beauty of the Yukon Territory. Admire the chain of lakes that form the headwaters of the Yukon River, explore the rustic town of Carcross, see the “world’s smallest desert,” and listen to the tales of the Klondike Gold rush shared by your guide.
Enjoy a delicious chicken BBQ lunch complete with grandma’s famous homemade donuts. Afterwards visit the Yukon’s most complete museum exhibit of local wildlife and onto Dog Musher’s Village to meet the mushers, racing dogs and puppies. Back in Fraser, you’ll board the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad for a truly unforgettable ride on this historic narrow-gauge railroad.

This trip combines a train ride aboard the Historic White Pass & Yukon Route Railway with a wilderness trek to the magnificent Laughton Glacier. You’ll board the train for a one hour scenic journey filled with spectacular waterfalls, rushing rivers and jagged mountain peaks. At Glacier Station begin your fully guided round-trip hike of up to 8 miles, in the wilds of Alaska. The magnificent sub-Alpine rainforest valley is home to moose, bear, mountain goats and other wildlife.
The spectacular trail winds along the raging Skagway River to the majestic Laughton Glacier. The terrain changes dramatically as you leave the rocky riverbed and climb over a boulder field and onto the glacier. Enjoy the breathtaking views and exposed crevasses of the frozen river of ice. Upon your return to the trailhead, you’ll be greeted with a traditional “Bush Buffet”. Relax and enjoy the ride back to town on 'The Scenic Railway of the World.
Note: Participants must be at least 9 years of age, in good physical condition and able to walk over uneven and sometimes difficult terrain. Dress in layers and wear sturdy walking shoes. Train returns from Canada, all participants are required to carry a valid passport.

This trip combines a 27.7 mile White Pass Railway ride with a 4 to 6 mile round-trip wilderness hike toward Denver Falls, in lush old growth forest. After a 22 mile bus ride, your rail journey will be broken into two parts, before and after the hike. This world renowned railway adventure carries you through the scenic White Pass complete with waterfalls, rushing rivers, trestles, and tunnels as you trace the trail of '98. This southbound trip offers outstanding views from Inspiration Point and other locations along the route. After disembarking at Denver Station, your professional guides will lead you through the glacially carved valley full of dense, old growth forest.
The trail traces the raging East Fork of the Skagway River, meeting it intermittently and providing excellent photo opportunities. Be alert, and keep your camera close, as the remote valley is home to bears and other wildlife. From the depths of the river valley, gaze at the magnificent craggy peaks of the Sawtooth Mountains that make this valley deeper than the Grand Canyon. Your narrated hike will introduce you to the flora, fauna and history that make the region unique. Hiking through the pristine Tongass National Forest with 1,000 year old trees with photo stops by the river and Denver Falls will highlight this perfect mix of exercise and natural beauty. After the hike, continue with your return train ride to Skagway.

The perfect day to do everything or nothing starts on board the Catamaran in Banderas Bay. Enjoy a beach day full of activity or complete relaxation. Enjoy a scenic cruise along the colorful town of Puerto Vallarta, Los Arcos National Park and the cove of Mismaloya, where you’ll have great photo opportunities. First stop is at Colomitos Beach where you can practice your snorkeling and may be able to closely watch beautiful species of tropical and Pacific Ocean fish, sea horses, sea urchins and marine wildlife in general. You may choose to just spend a little while relaxing at the beach. The following destination will be Majahuitas, a white sandy beach with clear and calm waters, where you can again enjoy the sand and surf or if you prefer, do some kayaking or snorkeling. During your catamaran cruise, depending on the season, you might get to see some wildlife such as dolphins, manta rays, sea turtles or humpback whales. On the way back to shore, enjoy music and entertainment to put an end to your perfect day at Banderas Bay. Note: Continental breakfast and a light lunch are included in the price of this tour. less
