Victoria is the gateway to the Puget Sound, Gulf Islands, and San Juan Islands, and is home to three resident pods of Orca Whales. This tour is designed to take you as up close and personal as permitted with the whales and sea life as they explore their natural feeding grounds along the shores British Columbia’s rugged coastline. You’ll board a motorcoach for a short transfer over to the whale watching vessel departure point. The vessels are equipped with restrooms, and offer covered as well as open viewing locations. As you travel to the viewing location, be sure to enjoy the majesty of the coastline and mountains surrounding you. This area is a playground for many of the world’s wealthiest yacht owners, and multi-million dollar yachts can often be seen cruising through the waters. Note: Orcas are regularly seen, but not guaranteed. This tour is not recommended for pregnant women and people with back problems. less

This "hot shop" adventure invites you to create your own glass art with real gold in the “Last Frontier”. Your tour starts with a narrated tour of Skagway en route to Jewell Gardens, a tranquil oasis of organic flowers and plants. Upon arrival your guide will offer a private orientation of the garden and hot shop. You’ll create the ultimate Alaska memento, a handmade ornament to display or hang.
In the spirit of the Gold Rush, you’ll have the opportunity to incorporate 24K gold for a dazzling effect. Your work of art can be shipped anywhere in the world, compliments of Jewell Gardens. Then take a guided tour of the glass gallery, followed by tea service, lunch or light dinner (depending on time of day) made with fresh ingredients from the garden and served with a beverage, glass of wine or beer. After your meal, you’re free to visit the gardens, gallery or shop.
Note: Participants must be at least 7 years of age. Participants are advised to wear cotton or other natural fiber clothes if possible. Protective lab coats, safety glasses, and individual sterilized mouthpieces are provided.

Ride the rails in style, revisit the gold rush era, and experience the life of a prospector on this fun-filled family tour. In the comfort of your parlor car, a costumed escort “from 1898” will entertain you with stories of gold prospecting. The train follows the same route that thousands of prospectors trotted on foot in search of gold. Historical narration is provided by the White Pass & Yukon railroad crew as you witness the breathtaking panorama.
Transfer to a motorcoach for a short drive to the Klondike Gold Fields and be immersed in the wild history of the Klondike Gold Rush. The dredge master will acquaint you with the gold dredge, a 350 ton gold sifting machine brought back from the Klondike. Learn the art of gold panning and practice your technique in heated water. After you’ve hit pay dirt, weigh your fortune in the Gold Shack. Enjoy browsing in the Gold Parlor where you can shop for gifts and souvenirs. You can also watch a film about gold dredging or Alaska's Northern Lights. Food and drink is available for purchase at the Gold Rush Restaurant & Brewery.

Enjoy a magical evening cruise that features guaranteed whale viewing! Following a short ride to scenic Auke Bay, you’ll board a waterjet-powered catamaran specially designed for wildlife viewing. Relax in the warm, spacious cabin as you set out to explore Stephen’s Passage, a pristine marine wilderness surrounded by snow-capped peaks and glaciers. This is a favored summer feeding ground for humpback whales. Once whales have been sighted, your Captain will maneuver the vessel to provide you with exceptional viewing and photographic opportunities. You’ll be amazed by the grace of these ocean giants as they slowly arc their massive tail flukes into the air. Be sure to bring a warm jacket to wear on the topside observation deck, the whales are often close enough to hear them breathe. If conditions allow, an underwater hydrophone will be deployed so that you hear their incredible “singing”. Your onboard naturalist will explain the behavior and habitat of the humpback whale and other wildlife you may encounter, including killer whales, sea lions, porpoise, harbor seals, bald eagles and more. While enjoying the peaceful ambiance of Alaska’s long evening glow you’ll be treated to a variety of appetizers, desserts and complimentary beverages. A no-host bar offers wine, beer and soda for an additional charge. The operators of this excursion guarantee you'll be able to view at least one whale, or you will receive $100 cash as you disembark the vessel. Learn about, meet and interact with the bottlenose dolphin. The friendly nature and legendary intelligence of these animals account for their huge popularity. You’ll be transferred to and from Blue Lagoon Island by boat, from the pier (40 minutes each way). This lagoon is home to 19 bottlenose dolphins. Upon arrival, you’ll meet the dolphin trainers for a 10-minute educational briefing and be helped onto a floating platform in small groups for the opportunity to touch and interact with dolphins in waist-deep water. Note: Participants ages 3 or younger receive free admission if accompanied in the program by a participating paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years of age). Children between the ages of 3 to 12 must be accompanied in the water by a paying guardian/parent. The paying guardian/parent must be book at the same time of the child participant; these booking cannot be made onboard as space is very limited. Actual in-water encounter time is approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Approximately 1/2 to 1 mile of walking on the pier is required. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel from your ship. After a brief presentation, head down the dock to a 14,500-square-foot holding pen and as you stand waist-deep in the water, you’ll be introduced to the beautiful Pacific bottlenose dolphin in a hands-on, up-close encounter for approximately 15 minutes. They are as curious about you as you are about them. Take full advantage of this unique opportunity to pet them gently and you’ll even receive a dolphin kiss. During your encounter you’ll also learn ways to ensure their preservation and foster the well-being of these amazing creatures. After your activity with the dolphins, enjoy a complimentary lunch at the dolphin marina and free time to purchase souvenirs or photos to remind you and your family of this incredible experience. The round-trip Skyride ride is 15 minutes, allowing plenty of time at the top to relax with a frozen drink or lunch. The Skyride is located directly across the street from the Havensight Mall. Come at your leisure, as the Skyride runs continuously. Note: There are 25 steps at the Skyride entrance and 10 at the top not including the optional Nature Trail.
