This excursion guarantees excellent eagle viewing. Majestic totems and a waterfront clan house demonstrate the historical native culture at Totem Bight State Park. Get a close-up view of Guard Island Lighthouse. Enjoy a short narrated drive through Ketchikan en route to meet your Captain and Alaskan crew. Board your vessel, where you’ll hear professional narration, while you munch on salmon spread, cheese, crackers, fresh fruit, and cookies. Hot chocolate, coffee, tea, water, or soft drinks are all free. Relax in the heated main cabin or experience the open-air observation deck. Observe the areas of harvest and ancient old growth, and learn of the historical and modern uses of this very special temperate rainforest and its complex ecosystem. Cruise by historic Ward Cove Cannery and Loggerville, Alaska’s only 'floating town.' One half of this tour features the Revillagigedo Island waterfront; with its homes of the local 'rich and famous,' while the remainder explores the remote Guard Island and primitive Gravina Island. Binoculars are provided for your use. Eagles, of course, are guaranteed and we usually see harbor seals and abundant moon jellyfish. Whales, deer, blue heron and a variety of gulls and sea birds are also common.

Spend a relaxing day at Bacab Eco Park surrounded by nature at its best. Start and end your Belize adventure traveling between Bacab Eco Park and your ship in an air-conditioned motorcoach and learn about the country, its natural wonders, diverse culture and history from your guide. Upon entering the park and throughout the recreation area you’ll see tropical wildflowers, flowering trees and shrubs from which native butterflies and hummingbirds drink sweet nectar. An elevated palmetto boardwalk leads you under the shade of orchid laden bullet trees and palmetto palms to the main recreation area featuring restaurant, bar and an exotic swimming pool area. Kick off your shoes and relax in a hammock in the shade of a buttonwood tree. At your leisure, enjoy a delicious truly Belizean lunch prepared just for you served buffet style. If relaxing is not for you, then learn about the many uses of native plants on Ixchel’s Walk, a self-guided medicinal/botanical trail, or stroll along a winding pathway in the Wild Wings Butterfly House. Your tour begins with a sightseeing drive along the northeastern coastline to a small town known as St. Ann’s Bay. View the sights from your comfortable coach seat as your guide narrates the history, tales and interesting facts about Jamaica. Observe the town’s classic Court House of 1866 and Statue of Columbus, honoring his landing. On the return drive, observe the culture of exciting Ocho Rios as you are comfortably chauffeured through the stimulating town. A stop will be made at Wassi Art, a local pottery of skilled artisans. A guided tour allows you to interact with these fine artisans as they turn clay into masterpieces, found in the tempting gift shop at the end of the tour. Then, visit Jamaica’s Garden of Eden, the place that the Taino Indians called “Coyaba” or Paradise. Hear the roar, feel the fresh mist of the spray from the spectacular waterfall, cascading down, level after glorious level. Follow the trails with your professional attraction guide through this rainforest. Experience all the shades of green, splashed with exotic flowers of every conceivable color. Coyaba Gardens presents a fascinating museum with ancient artifacts from the natives and early colonials excavated on site. Your driver/guide interprets the myths and legends depicted on the many poles standing along the trail. Step into an authentic ceremonial clan house and immerse yourself in stories that describe the lifestyle and rituals practiced by the original inhabitants of the northwest coast. While visiting Totem Bight State Park, enjoy a short stop at the Alaska Totem Trading Store, a quaint museum and gift store. On your way back to town, learn about the industries that helped build Ketchikan and the several canneries that helped make this town the 'Salmon Capital of the World.' You may combine 'Totem Bight State Park' and 'The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show' tours for a great day in Ketchikan. Note: Order of tour may vary. Your submarine dive adventure begins on board ferry vessel Ana that will take you on a 12 minute cruise along Cozumel's west coast. Upon arriving at the Chankanaab dive site you are transferred to the Atlantis Submarine where you will have the opportunity to view this underwater paradise through large windows in air-conditioned comfort. Marvel at the huge variety of tropical fish including parrotfish, grunts, and groupers as your captain expertly navigates through magnificent 30 foot (9 meter) coral heads. Throughout your voyage an informative, live narration is provided by an experienced co-pilot who will be happy to answer any questions. Learn about, meet and interact with the bottlenose dolphin. The friendly nature and legendary intelligence of these animals account for their huge popularity. You’ll be transferred to and from Blue Lagoon Island by boat, from the pier (40 minutes each way). This lagoon is home to 19 bottlenose dolphins. Upon arrival, you’ll meet the dolphin trainers for a 10-minute educational briefing and be helped onto a floating platform in small groups for the opportunity to touch and interact with dolphins in waist-deep water. Note: Participants ages 3 or younger receive free admission if accompanied in the program by a participating paying adult (parent or guardian at least 18 years of age). Children between the ages of 3 to 12 must be accompanied in the water by a paying guardian/parent. The paying guardian/parent must be book at the same time of the child participant; these booking cannot be made onboard as space is very limited. Actual in-water encounter time is approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Approximately 1/2 to 1 mile of walking on the pier is required. Wear your swimsuit and bring a towel from your ship. Space is very limited so please book early. less

See picturesque Whale Park with its beautiful flowers and antique clock; travel by the salmon ladder on Ketchikan Creek, viewing the spawning grounds and live salmon in season; loop through the Totem Heritage Center, where you’ll discover and listen to tales of Alaska Native totem poles and stop at Creek Street and learn of Ketchikan’s colorful past and salty beginnings. Pick up your feet and put your hands in the air as you drive (literally) into Ketchikan’s bustling harbor. Travel through downtown Ketchikan and pass by bustling boat harbors, lush City Park and beautiful Ketchikan Creek. Next, you’ll have an opportunity to stretch your legs on this brief photo/shopping stop. Photograph majestic totems up-close, and shop at one of Ketchikan’s finest stores to purchase authentic Native-made items, as well as curios. Finally, it is off to Creek Street – Ketchikan’s historical red light district. Those who wish to will have an opportunity to explore Creek Street on their own. Your trolley driver will offer you a return to the ship or you may leisurely enjoy the many shops and eateries of the downtown area and make your own way back. less

As an observer, you’ll have a fun interactive orientation briefing covering their natural history, animal training techniques, ocean conservation and wildlife guidelines. Enjoy the up-close and personal view of these gentle marine mammals from a nearby platform - as you remain high and dry. Your journey continues along the National Scenic Byway through the awe-inspiring Chilkat Valley to the preserve. After a riverside picnic, you’ll board 18-foot inflatable rafts to enjoy a peaceful float (no whitewater) down the river through the very heart of the preserve. Watch for eagles, bears, moose, and even wolves, drawn here by the spawning salmon. 7,000 foot tall peaks tower above as you float past the ancient native village of Klukwan. This is an unforgettable adventure into the grandeur of Alaska!
Note: Participants must be at least 7 years of age and weigh no more than 350 lbs. Ponchos and boots are provided at the site. Guests must be in good health and able to walk over loose gravel and dry river delta to board the rafts.
