Fulfill your dream of Scuba diving with Discover Scuba! Your excursion begins with a short ride through the quaint town of Mahahual to an eco-friendly dive center. Here you’ll be fitted with Scuba gear and given an introductory lesson to Scuba followed by an instructor-guided dive of the spectacular Meso-American Barrier Reef. This breathtaking reef is known for its beautiful corals and exotic marine life. Common marine life includes sea turtles, lobsters, stingrays, dolphin and an endless variety of tropical reef fish. After your dive excursion you may choose to return to your ship or stay and experience the local culture and beautiful beaches of Mahahual. Once a fishing village, Mahahual is now a small town thriving with wonderful beachfront shops, restaurants, bars, arts and crafts booths, and more. Note: Participants must be at least 10 years of age, weigh no more than 275 lbs, be in good health and are required to sign a medical questionnaire as some restrictions do apply. Due to restrictions by the Dive Provider, any Scuba participants currently taking any medication or with a previous medical condition should bring a note from their primary physician stating that they are medically cleared to participate on a Scuba excursion. Advance notification is required for participants 12 years of age and under as restrictions may apply requiring a dedicated Dive Master at additional cost and their guardian must review the Youth Responsibilities Video or Flipchart and sign a release form at the Dive Center for all minors. This tour offers an opportunity to enjoy the awesome natural beauty of the rainforest, uninhabited jungle rivers and caves once used by the ancient Mayans who inhabited this region. You'll depart your ship on a high-speed boat for the Sabun River. Once on the river, the boat will wind its way upstream along the jungle-covered banks, a sight directly from an Indiana Jones movie. After approximately 45 minutes, the boat will arrive at the Landings, a secluded farm located on a peninsula by the river. You'll have a short break to visit the farm and get familiarized with the 4 x 4 Land Rover which will take you on the next leg of your journey to the Mayan Groto Caves. The Land Rover, which is famous for jungle driving, is the perfect vehicle for the 50-minute drive through the lowlands and into the jungle mud trails. Once at the base camp, your guide will give you local knowledge as he leads your small group on a traverse over a foot suspension bridge across the river. After a short walk through the dense rainforest where many species of huge trees can be seen, you'll arrive at the beginning of the cave experience. The first cave tunnels through the mountain and emerges into a tropical bowl with cliffs on all sides. The Mayans used this location as a sanctuary with protective walls still evident. Within the bowl there are many caves to explore each with different stages of stalactite and stalagmite growth. After caving, you'll have an opportunity to swim in the cool river, relax, and have a snack before boarding a jungle truck for the return trip to Belize City. Note: Participants must be between the ages of 8 years of age and 65 years of age and weight less than 250 lbs. Guests must be able to drive manual/stick shift transmissions and show drivers license. Start your tour at Chukka Cove Farm with a short safety briefing and riding lesson then head across the Richmond Property, pass an old Sugar Factory, situated on one of the oldest estates in Jamaica, where you will learn its history. Ride through a river bed, lush forests and tropical foliage stopping at the Village of Chester. Refreshment is served whilst you enjoy the spectacular view of the coastline and the Caribbean Sea and learn more about the history of the area. After a leisurely ride back to Chukka Cove, end your tour with a dip in the deep blue water of our private cove - carved by nature out of rock to form a perfect pool. This exciting half-day excursion begins with a short walk to your four-person, manual transmission, open-air Jeep®, before you depart caravan-style to explore the scenic countryside of Puerto Vallarta. Your experienced guide will lead you up the Sierra Madre Mountains, passing through typical Mexican villages along the way. Make a short stop at Hacienda Dona Engracia, the only tequila factory in the area where you’ll receive a short briefing on the process of making tequila. Continue your adventure by passing fruit and tobacco plantations and taking in the spectacular natural beauty of the area. After your adventurous ride, enjoy a complimentary snack at a beautiful beach setting. Here, you’ll have time to swim, bask in the sun, play volleyball or simply relax before it’s time to get back in your Jeep® and drive back to your awaiting ship. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age. Driver must be at least 25 years of age and provide both a valid driver’s license and credit card. This trip combines a 27.7 mile White Pass Railway ride with a 4 to 6 mile round-trip wilderness hike toward Denver Falls, in lush old growth forest. After a 22 mile bus ride, your rail journey will be broken into two parts, before and after the hike. This world renowned railway adventure carries you through the scenic White Pass complete with waterfalls, rushing rivers, trestles, and tunnels as you trace the trail of '98. This southbound trip offers outstanding views from Inspiration Point and other locations along the route. After disembarking at Denver Station, your professional guides will lead you through the glacially carved valley full of dense, old growth forest.

The trail traces the raging East Fork of the Skagway River, meeting it intermittently and providing excellent photo opportunities. Be alert, and keep your camera close, as the remote valley is home to bears and other wildlife. From the depths of the river valley, gaze at the magnificent craggy peaks of the Sawtooth Mountains that make this valley deeper than the Grand Canyon. Your narrated hike will introduce you to the flora, fauna and history that make the region unique. Hiking through the pristine Tongass National Forest with 1,000 year old trees with photo stops by the river and Denver Falls will highlight this perfect mix of exercise and natural beauty. After the hike, continue with your return train ride to Skagway.
