Untouched Alaskan wilderness awaits you on this premier fly-fishing quest. Combine the highlights of Southeast Alaska with classic floatplanes, world-renowned fishing in remote waters, experienced local guides and abundant wildlife in a pristine wilderness setting. This foremost guiding service caters to the first timer with hands-on instruction. The experienced fly caster will enjoy the challenge of Alaskan fishing and the guide interaction. All fishing is done on an eco-conscious catch-and-release basis. Fishing species include cutthroat trout, Dolly Varden and various salmon species. All first class gear and equipment is provided, and an Alaskan smoked salmon snack and beverages are included. The only way to experience Alaskan fishing at its finest is to experience the heart of the Alaskan wilderness--something road access simply doesn't allow. Your guide will choose the stream or river fishing location based on current fishing reports, weather and scenic/wildlife variables. Whether you’re a seasoned fly fisherman, a photographer, or a discriminating traveler looking for the true wilderness experience, this is a once in a lifetime adventure.
Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age and able to walk up to a 1/2 mile on uneven terrain and shallow streams. Alaska State Law requires a fishing license which can be purchased in cash from your guide for $20. Gear, snack and beverages are provided. Get ready to catch Dolly Varden, Sockeye and Pink Salmon on this one of a kind excursion. You’ll be met and taken to the small boat harbor to board your ferry for the journey to Haines. Keep an eye out for seals, whales and other wildlife as you listen to the stories of Skagway, Haines and upper Lynn Canal. Upon arrival in Haines you’ll be transported to Chilkoot Lake for your fishing adventure. There’s a maximum of 6 anglers per boat and everyone is in control of their own rod and reel. Experienced guides take care of all the baiting, netting and tangled lines so you can enjoy yourself fishing.
Keep a look out for some of the lakes locals, the majestic Bald Eagle and great coastal brown bears make this picturesque valley home and are fairly cooperative in posing for pictures. Be sure to bring layered clothing and extra film. “The fish you catch make the best pictures, the ones that got away make the best stories, and the time you spend make the best memories.” All gear, rods, reels, bait, lures, snacks, some rain gear, and safety equipment are provided.
Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age. Fishing duration is approximately 3 hours. Alaska State Law requires a fishing license that can be purchased on the fishing boat for $20. Guests 15 and under do not need licenses. Fishing is conducted on a catch-and-release basis.

This is the experience many anglers dream of when planning an Alaskan vacation, fishing for the largest flatfish in the world, the Pacific Halibut. Imagine catching your first wild halibut with your friends or family and the bragging rights that will come with sharing this delectable fish back home. Unlike many other Alaska destinations, Ketchikan fishing is in protected waters, a short ride from the marina. No matter your skill level, you'll fish like a local, with a Penn rod and Penn 114 reel in your own two hands, working the sandy flats, drifting with the current, jigging in waters as deep as 300 feet. Spend the day with an experienced Alaskan guide, in pursuit of the elusive halibut, learning the secrets of fishing circle hooks, working the tides and battling your leviathan. You can choose to custom process your halibut, as well as purchase a selection of local Alaskan seafood to include with the shipment of your bounty home. Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age, weigh a minimum of 30 lbs and a maximum of 300 lbs. Deck or rubber soled shoes must be worn on board. We recommend that you wear warm, layered clothing. Rain gear, rubber boots, comfortable float jackets, wool socks, hat and gloves. Halibut fishing equipment and tackle are provided. Actual fishing duration is 4 1/2 hours. Alaska State Law requires a fishing license that can be purchased in cash at the outfitting room for $20. You’ll need a credit card in order to have your catch processed and sent home (U.S. only). Fish cannot be stored on board the ship. less

The Alcatraz ferry awaits your arrival to take you to the notorious prison that once housed the likes of Al Capone and the Birdman of Alcatraz. During your ferry ride, enjoy a panoramic view of the famous San Francisco skyline and prepare to explore the 'Rock'. Tour the small jail cells as an audio tour fills you with images of days gone by. Return to San Francisco by ferry and board your motorcoach for a journey across the Golden Gate Bridge. After a stop at Vista Point for a fabulous view of the city by the bay, it’s a short ride into Sausalito Village. Stroll along Sausalito’s streets to browse among the many specialty shops and galleries. And take in yet another breathtaking view of San Francisco before returning to your ship. You'll have unlimited access to Bamboo Beach Club, but can also relax and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful little corner. Pick your spot on a beach chair that is grouped amongst shady clusters of hundred year old coconut and almond trees. Then it’s on to Chinatown for a Dim Sum lunch at one of Chinatown’s popular restaurants. After lunch, ride through the streets of North Beach, Fisherman’s Wharf, Ghiradelli Square and by the Palace of Fine Arts. Enjoy a day in the countryside, while visiting vineyards and tasting locally produced wine. Cowichan Valley proudly promotes sustainable local wineries and vineyards that produce quality wines, using no pesticides, herbicides and little or no sulfites. You'll visit three different vineyards, all are owner operated. Your guide will provide an informative narrative during the one hour drive to Cowichan Valley.
First you’ll visit Farm Gate Estate Winery, one of the most award-winning wineries in the valley. Here you'll meet the owners and enjoy a tasting of their red and white releases, finishing with a blackberry dessert wine. Next, you'll tour one the newest vineyards and learn about the growing conditions, types of vines, and wine making, followed by a tasting of their red and white wines. Your last stop is at one of the largest vineyards situated on the slopes of Mt. Provost. After your wine tasting, enjoy a treat of wild Pacific smoked salmon, local cheeses, crackers and a glass of wine out on the patio. Departing back to Nanaimo there will be optional drop off downtown, before returning to the cruise ship pier.
