Experience a true Alaskan adventure while supporting the official state sport! Take an exhilarating sled ride and play with our husky puppies, all in the heart of the lush Alaskan rainforest. When you arrive at our authentic summer training camp for mushers and their sled dogs, you'll participate in a sled dog summer training run on our custom designed, wheeled summertime sled. Discover the power in a team of Alaskan huskies as they whisk your sled down a mile long trail through the depths of the Tongass National Rainforest! Then join one of our dog handlers and sled dogs for interactive demonstrations on mushing equipment and the impeccable care the dogs receive. Your dog handler will also entertain you with knowledge about the training, history, races, and inspiring efforts required by this sport. Marvel at the untamed beauty that has lured you to Alaska when you walk across our suspension bridge overlooking Fish Creek. Our Musher’s Camp is surrounded by moss-covered forest with huge spruce and hemlock trees. The views are simply awe-inspiring. Finally, cuddle up with our husky puppies, and take your picture with these adorable future athletes! This excursion is the perfect mix of Alaska’s culture, history, adventure, ruggedly gorgeous wilderness, and of course sled dogs and puppies! Feel the excitement as you board your helicopter for an unforgettable scenic flight of the Taiya Inlet, the longest and deepest glacial fjord in North America. Majestic waterfalls, towering mountain peaks, and views of the area's dramatic glacial landscape are just some of the wonders you may experience on your flight. As you return to town, be ready for a not-to-be-missed view of historic Skagway and your ship.
Note: Participants must be able to enter and exit the helicopter with limited assistance. Flight time is approximately 12 to 15 minutes with no glacier landing. Guests 250 lbs. and over are charged an additional rate to reserve two seats for safety and comfort. These spaces are capacity controlled so you will not be able to book this option online. Please call 1.866.625.1167 for assistance with these reservations.

Enjoy the beauty of this world-class dolphin center, created with dolphins in mind. Once inside the specially-designed pools, join a small group and meet a bottlenose dolphin who will be yours for this magical experience. This program offers you an approximate 40-minute in water session with the opportunity to pet, play and swim with a dolphin while enjoying an educational program full of fun, excitement and unique activities. Get to know your dolphin as you enjoy a dolphin ride, dance with your dolphin and receive a big fishy kiss. Prepare to smile as professional photographers will be in the water with you to capture life-long memories of your unforgettable adventure. After your swim experience, take advantage of the exclusive lounge bar and restaurant, lined with a refreshing waterfall, shady palms and a delectable food and beverage menu (not included). Note: Participants must be at least 5 years of age. Each child 5-10 years old must be accompanied a participating adult. Your tour begins with a short walk or ride to the Briefing Center. Upon arrival, you’ll be outfitted with top-of-the-line rain gear, hat, gloves, socks, boots and safety glasses. Be sure to keep your camera handy as this seafaring adventure offers photo opportunities from the moment you set sail. Throughout this nearly 25 mile coastal expedition, your guide will offer narrative covering the area's history, geology, culture and ecology. You'll board your four passenger boat and drive off the grid to behold the beauty of Alaska far away from the crowds. You'll follow your guide, who is in another boat, to the harbor in front of Saxman Native Village and chat about the totem poles and Tlingit culture. You'll search for bears, eagles, whales and seals and venture into the backcountry wilds of Nichols Passage, Blank Inlet and Blank Island. Enjoy the rich heritage of Thomas Basin's world famous Creek Street before heading back to city float where you'll dock your boat and warm up with another hot beverage before returning to the ship. Note: Participants must be at least 4 years of age. Maximum weight allowed 350 lbs. Drivers must be at least 26 years of age to drive the boat and in good physical condition. Comfortable warm layered clothing is recommended. Groups of two and three will share a boat with another party. Groups of four will have their own boat. This tour is not recommended for people with any previous back or neck injuries or guests who are pregnant because the water may get choppy. This tour is not recommended for those who are uncomfortable getting cold and wet. Routes may vary due to weather and tide conditions. This tour takes place on southeast Alaska's coastal waterways, not a calm lake, so water can and will become choppy at times. less

Your expert local pilot/guide will point out the highlights and provide insights of Alaskan lifestyles. Make sure your camera is loaded and ready as your pilot watches for bear and mountain goats in this area of pristine grandeur. See how the residents of this frontier-style community live amongst islands and at the edge of a rich wilderness. Experience a richly forested fjord, lined with massive granite cliffs, waterfalls, and a multitude of lakes below. Marvel at the close-up views of the spectacular snowcapped Ketchikan Alps, including Deer, Fish, Achilles and Buck mountains. Your experience unfolds as you descend through a lush valley and over the rustic Herring Cove community. Your pilot will carry you along the Revillagigedo Island coast and by the Saxman Native Village. Admire Saxman's many totem poles as they tower into the sky and have one more glimpse of the mountainous background of town before descending onto the Ketchikan waterfront.
