Explore New Providence Island on a 4 x 4 vehicle. You’ll be given an orientation of your shared 4WD vehicle. There are four guests to each vehicle, perfect for you and your friends. Take turns driving and navigating through traffic or one person can do all the driving. Listen to your lead guide’s narration though your onboard walkie-talkie while you drive into the island’s interior. Pass through the typical countryside; here you’ll see the island in your own unique style. See one of the old Colonial forts and other historical and architectural buildings. Your guide will also point out homes of the famous and infamous that lived on the island. Then, visit a local beach to relax or swim before caravanning through the countryside back to the staging area. You’ll then walk back at your leisure through town back to the pier. Note: Drivers must be at least 25 years of age and provide a valid driver’s license. This is a self-driven tour with a guide. Your guide will show you the diverse regions and exotic beauty of Cozumel on this buggy tour with a snorkel excursion, beach break and optional shopping experience! Feel the wind through your hair as you drive your buggy along the stunning coastal road between the breathtaking blues of the Caribbean and the mysterious greens of a tropical jungle. Let loose on the white sands of our secluded beach located on the eastern shore. You can play games in the sun, take a refreshing dip in the sea or sit in the shade of an umbrella and enjoy the Mexican lunch provided. Then get in gear for a glimpse beneath the surface of the sea on an offshore snorkel experience where you can swim in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age to snorkel and must be at least 21 years of age and provide a valid license to drive. There will be four guests per car. All cars are stick shift (manual). This tour is not recommended for pregnant women or those with back or neck problems. The snorkeling portion of the tour is prohibited to guests with asthma, cardiac problems, diabetes, and epilepsy or those under medications such as anti- depressants, lithium, beta blockers and base vein constrictors. Although quick paced with a substantial amount of walking and climbing, your day will be extremely rewarding. See the highlights of Florence, including Michelangelo’s David and climb to the top of Pisa’s famous leaning tower. You’ll arrive at Piazzale Michelangelo to enjoy the wonderful panorama of Florence from this unique terrace. In the historical center of Florence you will begin your walking tour. Visit the Galleria Dell'Accademia, where you’ll see Michelangelo’s masterpiece: the original statue of David. Visit Piazza del Duomo, the religious center of Florence in front of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Piazza della Signoria and walk to the Ponte Vecchio for a photo opportunity. You’ll have free time for lunch on your own and shopping. Meet back at your bus and head to Pisa where you'll join your guide for a climb up the 294 steps of the world-famous Leaning Tower. In Miracle Square you will view the Cathedral and Baptistery from the outside and enjoy some free time for photo opportunities or shopping. Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age to climb the Tower. No bags are allowed for the Tower visit for security reasons. Even though the tower has reopened to the public, Italian authorities have strict limitations on the amount of persons allowed in per hour/day. The walking distance between the Field of Miracles in Pisa, and the bus parking area is approximately 15 minutes each way. Please note that on public holidays, most major stores will be closed; however, most leather and souvenir shops will be open. Guests who are planning to visit religious sites during free time or on tour, please dress appropriately; no bare shoulders or shorts are allowed. The walking tour in Florence will cover approximately 3 miles. Due to the intensity of this tour, we do not recommend this excursion for guests with walking difficulties. The Galleria Dell’Accademia is closed on Mondays; this tour will not be available for guests on the Norwegian Spirit May 11th, 2013 and September 20th, 2013 sailings. less

Your experienced crew caters to your every whim during your cruise. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride or learn some sailing basics. You can even help trim the sails or take the helm. Once anchored at Buck Island's Turtle Cove, your crew leads a guided snorkeling tour or you may choose to snorkel with a buddy. Explore coral-covered boulders, observe tropical fish, and possibly encounter an endangered green sea turtle. If you prefer to stay dry, relax on the spacious deck or in the shaded area. The stay at Turtle Cove is approximately 90 minutes. Snacks and complimentary rum drinks, beers, and soft drinks are served after your snorkel. Note: Participants must be at least 2 years of age and 21 years of age to be served alcoholic beverages. Maximum weight allowed is 275 lbs. A ladder with 5 to 8 steps is used to enter and exit the water from the sailboat. Snorkeling lesson and equipment including snorkel vest are included. An alternate snorkeling site may be used if weather conditions are not favorable. less

If you would like to explore the Eternal City of Rome on your own, this private motorcoach transfer is ideal. You’ll be dropped off in a central location, and your return transfer to the ship departs from the same place as your drop-off. A tour escort will be traveling with you to and from the ship to answer any questions you may have about sightseeing or shopping. You’ll then rejoin your motorcoach for the return to Civitavecchia. Note: All meals and incidental expenses are at your own expense. Please return to the meeting point no less than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Drop-off location may vary. Combine two of the most famous Tuscan towns: Lucca, with a colorful history that stretches back to the days of the ancient Etruscans, and Pisa with its famous Field of Miracles with the cathedral, baptistery, and of course, the Leaning Tower. Arriving in Lucca, take a guided walk through the old town, which retains its Renaissance-vintage fortified walls. Stroll from piazza to piazza and learn the city’s history through its architecture. The Duomo, Lucca’s Romanesque cathedral dates from the 12th century and features a facade with elaborate relieves and columns. The Gothic interior features an image of Christ on the cross, supposedly carved by Nicodemus, a purported witness of the crucifixion. The Duomo also boasts Tintoretto's magnificent painting of the Last Supper. You’ll have free time in Lucca to enjoy your activity of choice; explore, eat or shop! Once a powerful maritime republic and a rival to Genoa and Venice, Pisa offers Renaissance splendor of its own. A short guided walk leads to the Field of Miracles where you’ll receive a brief orientation on Pisan history. The Piazza is the site of Pisa’s Duomo, baptistery, Campo Santo, and of course, the campanile – the famous Leaning Tower. Galileo is said to have used the 180-foot campanile during his experiments with gravity. Today, the tower leans 14-degrees from perpendicular. Recently reopened, admittance to the tower is limited and is not included in the excursion. Pisa’s Duomo is a mixture of Tuscan and Romanesque styles and the black and white interior marble arches are thought to have been inspired by Islamic architecture. You’ll have plenty of photo and shopping opportunities on this tour. Note: Should religious services be taking place in the Duomo, the guide will conduct an explanation outside and guests will be free to enter individually. Guests who are planning to visit religious sites during free time or on tour, please dress appropriately; no bare shoulders or shorts are allowed. You’ll meet your guide in Lucca for your visit there and your other guide in Pisa for your visit to Pisa, however you’ll have an escort with you throughout the day.
