Perfect Summer Vacation!

My husband and I took this cruise last year for our honeymoon. It was our first cruise and we were very impressed! We left Boston on the 4th of July. It was rainy and cold, but everyone on the Dawn did an excellent job of keeping us entertained and the "vacation vibes" going! Hurricane Arthur was directly in our path so we were informed that due to the weather we would be arriving in Bermuda a day later than planned. They would make up for this by keeping us docked in Bermuda an extra night, and we would still make it back to Boston as scheduled. (We later found out that the first night we barely made it off the cost of Boston. We were going in circles near cape cod until the storm passed. None of us vacationers had a clue. Then early the next morning started heading towards Bermuda) The ship was perfect for first time cruisers! Lots to do, but not too big or over crowded. We stayed in an interior room, and only ate at the restaurants that were included. We did purchase the soda package, which was well worth it. We found that the buckets of beer at the pool were a good deal, however we will probably go for the beer, wine and soda package on our next cruise. All of the food was great! Definitely better than any all-inclusive resort! We loved the "free style" cruising because we could choose to make reservations, or play it by ear that day. Bermuda was AMAZING! I have traveled to many different tropical islands, and Bermuda is one of my favorites. Everything was very clean, and we felt safe everywhere we went. It was great to be docked there for more than one day so we didn't feel rushed. We were able to go out to some of the local bars at night and heard some great live music. There is a beach within walking distance from the ship (5 minute walk) were you can snorkel, swim, sunbathe, or get a drink. Some of the most clear water I have ever seen! We also booked 2 shore excursions. The pink sand beach (horseshoe bay, and the sunset swizzle cruise) highly recommend both of these! The last day we took a shuttle to Hamilton for a few hours. Again, very clean and safe. Lots of cute places to shop or grab a drink. We loved having the days at sea on the way back. It's the perfect wind down to end your vacation. We spent the days at the pool and hit up the casino and comedy shows at night! Overall this was an awesome trip and we were very impressed with NCL! So much fun, we have started planning our next cruise with NCL!
ahh, the Suite life on the Dawn

We have just returned from a Fabulous trip to Bermuda on the Dawn. One week of Heaven on the High Seas in the Owner's Suite...Starting with the priority embarkation-to a suite that is bigger than many New York apartments and it has 2 balconies! That is just the start of a vacation with our great consierge Roel who will take care of all your questions- just ASK. Many people have said that they did not use the Butler,,,,,that is because our butler Lazaro - gets you what you want BEFORE you even know you want it. He quietly had snacks ready for us on busy days and there was always a lovely pot of tea and treats in our room before going to bed - what a dream. They had to pry my fingers off the door frame to get me to leave...and get get back to my REAL life---but I will never forget the "SWEET LIFE" we had for our week on the Dawn . Thanks!
