SIMPLY AMAZING!!! Best cruise I've ever been on.

This cruise is absolutely top notch! The best food I've ever had on any cruise .. Fabulous staff (I loved having everyone from the USA. The ports are beyond amazing. I have cruised every Caribbean island and you could cruise for a year and never get the "wow" at every port like you do on this cruise. There is no comparison at all. The crowd is a little older and defiantly not as "party" ordinate as we are used to but some people will like that .. Some will not .. But the ports make up for any lack of party nightlife. You are SO tired at the end of every day I think most people just couldn't go out at night too. Although the early nightly entertainment was really good. The shows at 7pm to 10pm where the best of any ship I've been on. There just wasn't much going on night club wise with a lot of people. I read a lot of complaints about 2 things that I found not true. I read the food was not good .. it was amazing! Everyone in our party said the same. We didn't even mind eating the buffet at night if we were to tired to go to dinner because it was so good. Also, people said the staff wasn't as good because they were from USA. I thought it was great having waiters and bartenders I could relate to and everyone was from a place you knew or have visited. We found the service to be just as good if not better than other cruises. This is defiantly a 20+ cruise on a 1-10 rating.
Fabulous Cruising

Universally we were greeted by friendly smiles who answered all of our questions (Erin especially was so helpful and assisted my wife in getting a necklace like hers). Darlene was a an excellent bartender who settled us down too after we were waiting for our cabin. We enjoyed all of our meals, with Michelle and Astrid's assistance. One meal was super memorable meal was at Moderno, a Brazilian restaurant where the meal, which was well paced and truly the most delicious meat imaginable was served. The Filet Mignon was so tender, it melted in your mouth. This was a fabulous cruise and our steward, Catalina celebrated our 40th anniversary with matching swan towels with mints. The entertainment was exceptional with the Oh What A Night Tribute group, the ship singers and dancers in the Hooray for Hollywood show.and the comedian and magician were good too! We really enjoyed the piano playing gentleman that played Peter Allen for us. The excursions were excellent too. We enjoyed all of them. In addition, we utilized the Hoppa- On Hoppa Off Tour Bus in Hilo and were able to book a tour for the Japanese Gardens, Rainbow Falls, and beach as well as city zoo. In Kawaii, we were able to use Trolley Stop Tours & saw some more falls, beach and Episcopal Church. We will be returning to NCL in the future!
hawaii - oh what a cruise

Living in Waikiki we thought it would be hard to find a good cruise without a long flight, but we were wrong. The 7 day Hawaii cruise was just wonderful. We overnighted at two locations, which gave much time to explore the state. On the last day we left port early enough to truly enjoy the coast of Kauai, such a remarkable sight could never be seen unless you paid for a helicopter ride. I will say don't take the reviews of the excursions too seriously. We almost didn't book the Norwegian glass bottom boat cruise because of a review, but I am so glad we did. The fish we saw were colorful and plenty (I even saw an elusive eel). The excursion was so worth it and the staff so knowledgeable. Take this cruise and do as much or as little as you choose - cruise like a Norwegian!
