America’s Cup Sailing Experience

This is the place to experience the thrill of the America's Cup, Newport is one of the sailing capitals of the world and it was host to the America's Cup for more than 50 years. A short walk from the tender pier brings you to the dock of America's Cup winners and contenders from the 1950s through the 1970s.

Stepping aboard your private vessel, join the helpful crew who stand ready to show you the workings of these America’s Cup 12-meter yachts. You are invited to participate in sailing, or if you prefer, you may simply sit back and relax, enjoying picturesque Narragansett Bay. There is no better way to experience historic Newport Harbor and beautiful Narragansett Bay. You’ll see many interesting sights including lighthouses, the beautiful Newport Bridge and lavish estates.

Note: Although prior sailing experience is not required, participants should be in good physical condition and be able to embark and disembark the vessel. Rubber soled deck shoes or sneakers are required. It is recommended that guests wear layered clothing and bring sunscreen and jacket or sweater. Complimentary water, juice and soft drinks are available on board. This tour is offered on Norwegian Gem’s September 19, 2015 sailing only.
