Board your bus and depart the pier passing the historic 16th century Old Market Plaza and two of the largest and oldest - 18th century churches on the island. Driving along the main coastal road you'll pass Woodbridge Bay onto Fond Cole before entering Canefield, home of one of the two airports and the main industrial area. The tour continues with a drive through Canefield East from which you will get a panoramic view of the entire industrial site and airport, before arriving at the Old Mill Cultural Center for drinks and convenience. This cultural center is one of Dominica's historic landmarks and was the island's first sugarcane processing mill and rum distillery. Today, it's a place to learn about Dominica's traditions. Performances and events including art exhibits and cultural programs take place here throughout the year.
