Are you dreaming of meeting a dolphin face to face? Well, this is possible at Roatan’s Institute for Marine Sciences. Upon arrival to the facility, you’ll take a short boat ride over to Bailey’s Key – home to the resident bottlenose dolphins. You’ll be briefed by the faculty and then your experience of a lifetime will begin. Enter the waist deep water of the surrounding ocean in small groups with your trainer, where your dolphin awaits you. You’ll be introduced to your dolphin and learn about their physiology while touching and stroking them. Next, you will be given a special treat of dolphin hugs and kisses. Actual encounter time is 25 to 30 minutes.
Once your encounter is over, you’ll be transported back to the main grounds of Anthony’s Key Resort where you can purchase photos of this unforgettable experience and do some shopping. Then it is off to bask in the sun at Roatan’s most pristine beach – Tabyana Beach. Here you can relax at the water’s edge or retreat to the shade of the tropical vegetation that surrounds you. Enjoy your included lunch of BBQ chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, island beans & rice, island coleslaw, watermelon, papaya, pineapple, iced tea & lemonade. Kayaks and lockers are available for rent at Tabyana Beach. Gift shops are available.
