Muir Woods & Sausalito

Across the bay, San Francisco is known for its charming towns and beautiful landscape. On this tour, you will explore the postcard-perfect town of Sausalito, a charming town and an artist's colony with a Mediterranean flair. Once a rumrunner's port, Sausalito hugs the hills above San Francisco Bay. You’ll have time to enjoy the bay views and browse at the boutiques, art galleries, as well as the arts and crafts shops along the charming waterfront. You'll also have the opportunity to visit Muir Woods, a 550-acre National Monument and home to towering coastal redwoods, some of the tallest and oldest trees in the world. During your approximately 1-1 1/2 hour stop here, you'll be given a map of the park illustrating the various trails for your self-guided tour. Note: Short stroll on level surfaces down Main Street of Sausalito. The walk through the woods is at your own pace with benches throughout for resting. Order of tour stops and scenic drive routes may vary to avoid congestion.
