Your excursion begins in Skagway with a scenic, narrated cruise aboard a high speed catamaran down North America’s longest and deepest fjord to the town of Haines. A short bus transfer brings you to the Takshanuk Mountain trailhead, in the heart of the Tongass National Forest. Your guide will demonstrate how to operate the Kawasaki Mule, an automatic transmission, 4X4 utility vehicle that is used to traverse the six mile round-trip trail. The mules are equipped with seat belts for up to five guests and have storage for extra supplies and equipment.
