Marquis Horse & Carriage Ride

This scenic tour will acquaint you with the historic Royal Naval Dockyard and surrounding areas of Ireland Island. You’ll pass by the old and new prisons, the Commissioner’s House, the Old Naval Cemetery, Black Bay, Parsons Bay, and the local fisherman's area. Travel past the site where movies such as "The Deep" and "Bermuda Depths" were filmed and take a glimpse at the residential area on the return ride. Your tour route is filled with native vegetation and flowers, all of which will be pointed out and described by your knowledgeable guide. The horses are really old nags that have seen the war and can find their way around blindfolded. Note: Participants 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult. Guests must be able to board the carriage on their own. The tour stops by the Clocktower Centre on the return and guests can depart the tour at that point if they desire. Guests who depart the tour at this point will have to make their own return to the ship.
