On this expedition you’ll cruise by some of the best sites Key West has to offer, from Jimmy Buffett’s Old House, Margaritaville, Sloppy Joe’s and Ernest Hemmingway’s house. A quick stop at the famous Key West Cemetery where the final resting place to many of Key West's most colorful characters are. Throughout this journey you’ll hear about the history of the 'Conch Republic', Havana Water Skiing Mayors, Ship Wrecking and Pirates. Note: Participants must be at least 12 years of age, 4 feet tall and be able to pedal at least 10 minutes continuously between each stop. Bikes are 26 inch Beach Cruisers. Your guide will transport you to 1930’s Key West where Hemingway wrote some of his best work. At the museum your guided tour includes the home and beautiful gardens along with a chance to visit with the current residents - the six toed cats. These famous felines are descendants of Hemingway’s original pets. Next, we make our way to Hemingway’s favorite haunt - Sloppy Joe’s Bar. For those who enjoy getting into places that have been featured on HGTV, this walking tour is for you. You’ll be met at the pier by a knowledgeable local guide who will chat about the colorful island on the short strolls between destinations. Each of these National Register properties have fascinating associations with international names and the rich history of Key West. The oldest house, home of Captain Francis Watlington incorporates the influences of Colonial architecture found in the Caribbean and New England. Tea is served in the spacious rear garden. Next a one block walk past distinguished Victorian homes brings you to the Curry Mansion, a magnificent structure created by the riches of Florida’s first millionaire. Finally a two-block stroll brings you to the Audubon House, filled with unusual European furnishings from shipwrecks and original ‘Birds of America’ engravings surrounded by an acre of tropical Key West gardens. The excursion ends here, across the street from your pier, and in the midst of shops and further attractions. The shady areas of seating will appeal to those who wish to rest before taking on further explorations of Old Town Key West. less

This wide open trolley gives you the best view possible and the padded seats offer superior comfort. The tour has eight great stops which includes but are not limited to Duval Street for shopping, Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and Beach, The NOAA Eco Centre and Coast Guard Cutter Museums, The Key West Wild Life Sanctuary, The Key West Garden club in the West Martello For and Higgs Beach. Continuing on, you’ll stop at the Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory which is also the stop for the Southernmost Point in the Continental USA. The Hemingway House and the Lighthouse are at the next stop prior to the Key West Bight and of course at our last stop you can hop off and stroll a few feet to Kermit's Key Lime Pie Shoppe. Then, close your eyes and bite into a slice of Key Lime pie that has been dipped in chocolate and then frozen. Your tour ends at the Customs House where you can stroll or take a shuttle back to your ship. Your tour is customized by you and can be as short as an hour or much longer. less
