Make a Freestyle Dash to the Caribbean with Norwegian Cruise Line

Up to $250 to spend on board, reduced cruise deposits and upgrades on select sailings

Miami   -    Sep 26, 2011   ---

Norwegian Cruise Line is launching its "Freestyle Dash" limited time offer on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 on all sailings to the Caribbean. Guests can choose from a variety of itineraries including quick three-day Bahamas getaways to more relaxing 11-day voyages to the Southern Caribbean. Those who make a dash to book can experience the warm tropical waters of the Caribbean from five convenient embarkation ports - Miami, Orlando & the Beaches (Port Canaveral), Tampa, New Orleans and New York City. Guests have the opportunity to escape the cold of winter and go snorkeling in St. Thomas or cave tubing in Belize by taking advantage of special cruise savings through September 30, 2011. The four-day offer provides up to $250 per stateroom (based on cruise length and category) to spend on board, reduced cruise deposits and upgrades on select sailings.

From Miami, guests can enjoy an exciting three or four-day cruise to the Bahamas on board Norwegian Sky; a seven-day cruise to the Western Caribbean on board Norwegian Pearl; or an Eastern Caribbean cruise on the line’s newest and most innovative ship, Norwegian Epic. For a longer retreat, guests can set sail on a 10 or 11-day cruise to the Southern Caribbean on board the newly enhanced Norwegian Dawn. This port intensive experience is the only itinerary of its kind from Miami, with ports of call including Samana, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. John’s, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Basseterre, St. Kitts; and Roseau, Dominica.

Departures from Orlando & the Beaches (Port Canaveral) on Norwegian Sun allow guests to combine the thrills and theme parks of Orlando with a seven-day cruise to the Eastern or Western Caribbean. Also, in an exciting first for the company, Norwegian Star will be home ported in Tampa sailing a seven-day Western Caribbean itinerary beginning on October 16, 2011.

Vacationers looking to experience the festivities of the French Quarter can cruise year-round from the Big Easy on a weeklong sailing to the Western Caribbean on board Norwegian Spirit through April 8, 2012. Norwegian Star will replace Norwegian Spirit in New Orleans on November 4, 2012, setting sail on seven-day Western Caribbean itineraries every Sunday. Guests looking to explore the ancient ruins of Costa Maya, Mexico can enjoy more time in port than any other line while in the Caribbean.

Residents of the Northeast can trade in their winter coats for bikinis on a weeklong getaway to the Bahamas & Florida from New York on board Norwegian Gem or Norwegian Jewel. Beginning on October 14, 2012, Norwegian Pearl offers guests an opportunity to experience another Freestyle Cruising ship in New York. For those seeking a longer cruise retreat, Norwegian Gem will offer nine-day Eastern Caribbean cruises from October 20, 2012 through April 18, 2013.

Travel partners can utilize the Marketing Headquarters website at www.partners.ncl.com to access exclusive content to support the “Freestyle Dash" limited time offer. New additions to the Marketing Headquarters include a Caribbean-specific toolkit complete with flyers, emails, banner ads and social media messaging. Partners may also participate in NCL University courses including video electives on the Western Caribbean and port specific destinations such as Belize City, Roatan and Costa Maya. The website also provides partners with an e-brochure, which assists in placing ships and destinations in perspective.

Norwegian’s signature Freestyle Cruising features award-winning entertainment; accommodations to suit an array of needs from solo travelers to families; and dining around the world with options ranging from Italian, French, Chinese and classic American to sushi, Teppanyaki and Brazilian churrasco.
